Race 1	METEOR PRINTERS - C2 - 305	The favourite ELLABEYOND led early but began to drop back on the bend and finished in last place. ELLABEYOND was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. ELLABEYOND L.Ahern Rule 82 Suffered a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 31.08.06.
Race 2	DIMOCKS RETROVISION - C3 - 520	HOMEBUSH GOLIATH and TOUCH OF SMOKEY bumped together on the first turn and ran a little wide.
Race 3	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C0 - 520	HOSTILE THUNDER was checked in the back straight and went back to near the rear and stayed back to the finish. QUHY MOHAN C.Morris Club scratching with no penalty.
Race 4	HEADS ROAD VETERINARY - C1 - 305	VINNYMORE proved hard to box and attempted to back out. The Starter believed the dog was loaded in and gave the all clear for the lure driver and the lure was on the way prior to VINNYMORE being securely loaded. The dog jumped with the field but the Starter was shown a video of the incident and firmly reminded of his obligation to ensure all starters are locked in before giving the lure driver the all clear. FRIDAY CULTURE galloped on the heels of JO BLOGGS on the first corner and lost several lengths. FRIDAY CULTURE then collided with DOUBLE HAPPY on the home turn and they finished well back. BRITE OPAWA and VINNYMORE also collided on the home turn and finished near the rear.
Race 5	THE RADIO WORKS - C1 - 520	PRINCE APITI was very slow away and lost several lengths, finishing well back. UNO EFFALL led early in the race but collided with MISS EBONY ROSE on the first bend and dropped out to near the rear and eventually finished in last place.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE - C4/5 - 305	PHAEDRA began very awkwardly, lost several lengths and finished well back in 6th place. CAWBOURNE LUKEY P.Freeman Rule 82 Suffered a pad injury and stood down for 5 days to and including 08.08.06.
Race 7	WANGANUI SECURITY - C4/5 - 520	ANTONI BEE moved in soon after the start and checked the favourite KIWI ASSASSIN who went back to near the rear. KIWI ASSASSIN then made contact with RIVETTE REASON on the first bend and they both lost ground and finished well back. It was suspected that KIWI ASSASSIN may have turned its head in the incident but this could not be confirmed.
Race 8	VITA-POWER EXCEED - C2 - 520	MCMURDO ran in from the start and clipped the heels of OROUA ROCKER and was last into the first corner. MCMURDO then recovered to run on and win the race. PEPPERONNI ran out on the first corner and bumped ROYAL TAP who was pushed wide around the first bend over extra ground. OROUA ROCKER also ran wide throughout and finished well back. ASTRO NERONE L.Fornasiere Rule 64 Suffering from a swollen hind leg, was presented and stood down for 5 days to and including 07.08.06. UNO YOU LIKA Ex Wellington on 02.08.06.
Race 9	RUSH HIRE WANGANUI - C4 - 305	All clear. TOKEN DIAMOND P.Freeman Rule 64 Suffering from a gracilus injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 28.08.06.
Race 10	MICKY'S SUPER LIQUOR - C3 - 305	SEXY DELIGHT, GAS MAN and CALL ME CUTE were checked on the first corner and they lost all chance. CRYSTAL HISTORY W.T.Hodgson Rule 64 Suffering from a pad injury, was presented and stood down for 5 days to and including 07.08.06.
