Judicial report: Weather: Cloudy P.Blanche the Trainer of ASTRO MICKEY was fined 75-00 under Rule 88.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms overweight. ( 2nd offence )
S.Maher the trainer of WOFTAMS TIP was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 88.1 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.3 kilograms overweight. ( 1st offence )
The inquiry which was opened and adjourned at Manawatu on 28.07.06 was completed. The inquiry concerned the actions of Trainer M.Boyd who had been alleged to have thrown a lead rope at his dog after the race. Mr Boyd was reminded of his obligations as a Trainer and no further action was considered necessary. Mr Boyds explanation for his non attendance at the inquiry was accepted as he had misunderstood the request from the Steward. In reaching those decisions, it was taken into account Mr Boyds very good record
