Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer PJ Norris was fined $50.00 under Rule 69.11 when his dog ANGEL OF HARLEM weighed in 1.3kgs over its last race weight.

Race 1 | ADVANCE PERFROMANCE SPRINT - C4 - 295 | Soon after the jump HOMEBUSH OPAL crossed quickly to the rails squeezing HOMEBUSH PHIL and JARED BRANDON with these dogs losing their chances. Soon after BARDO'S ANGEL got onto the heels of OCTOBER PLACARD with these two dogs losing ground and finishing midfield. The winner GARLAND GREEN was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed left hind sesamoid joint sprain with a ten day stand down recommended. GARLAND GREEN (GACleeve) left hind outside sesamoid joint sprain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 8 August 2006. |
Race 2 | END OF SEASON STAKES - C0 - 520 | The start of this race was delayed by five minutes due to the late running of a galloping race at Oamaru. SMOOTH GIRL was slow to jump and raced at the rear throughout. ELLE VIRUS ran outwards into the first bend severely checking MERCEDES HOPE. This dog made up a huge amount of ground to finish in third placing. |
Race 3 | GREYHOUNDS AT ADDINGTON TUESDAY FROM 1/8 SPRINT - C2 - 295 | The start of this race was delayed by five minutes due to the late running of a galloping race at Oamaru. MYSTERY SOLVED and SMART WINK were checked as a result of tightening into the first bend with ROBERTALAN being forced wide as a result. These dogs all finished well back. |
Race 4 | $20K TUESDAY SIX PACK @ CHCH IN AUGUST STAKES - C1 - 520 | BLUE FERN and CLAN BAILEY tangled into the first bend losing ground. LIMITED IMPACT briefly brushed the running rail into the back straight when attempting to improve on the inside of the leader RAGIN CAJUN but didn't lose any ground. On the last bend BLING BLING KING was checked by an improving BLUE FERN dropping out to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed cramping with no stand down recommended. |
Race 5 | $8 ROAST & REFRESHMENT FROM 5PM TUESDAY DASH - C2 - 295 | DISCO FEVER and the favourite PAINT THE STARS were slow to jump, DISCO FEVER flying home late as usual for fourth with PAINT THE STARS remaining at the rear. Just prior to the home turn MARILYNS WALK faltered when challenging for the lead and dropped away to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed a fractured right hock and she was euthanased on humane grounds. HEART OF PROMISE who finished fifth was examined post race and found to have a left hind metatarsal fracture with a twenty eight day stand down recommended. MARILYNS WALK (A Joyce) deceased. HEART OF PROMISE (J McInerney ) left hind metatarsal fracture. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 26 August 2006. |
Race 6 | ADDINGTON FUNCTION CENTRE STAKES - C1 - 520 | THRILLING DIESEL was slow to jump and was also checked by COOL PILGRIM into the first bend. These dogs filled the last two placings. |
Race 7 | TUESDAY GREYHOUNDS FROM 1 AUGUST DASH - C3 - 295 | SHIFNAL CHIEF ran wide into the final bend and forced HOMEBUSH TRUMP over extra ground. Both dogs finished midfield. |
Race 8 | CHALLENGE OPAWA STAKES - C1 - 520 | THRILLING BART and THRILLING TYKE collided on the first bend. THRILLING ALBERT ran wide around the first bend forcing MCCRACKENS BOY over extra ground. SHADY'S MATE also received a check at this point. All of these dogs finished attractively in the straight to finish close up. |
Race 9 | $8 TUESDAY ROAST & REFRESHMENT SPRINT - C5 - 295 | KOLA'S WEAPON was very slow from the inside box finishing on well for fourth. PAPPILONG and MILANION were checked into the first bend losing all chance. They tailed the field home. Soon after WILD BILL ran wide taking CEEJAY'S MAGIC wider on the track. They both finished midfield. DELS DELIGHT (HG Cairns) scratched at Christchurch GRC on 28 July 2006. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 5 August 2006. FOUR WAY DOLL (MM Grant) scratched at Christchurch GRC on 28 July 2006. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 3 August 2006. |
Race 10 | RACING HERE NEXT TUESDAY DASH - C4 - 295 | HOMEBUSH DOUG, MUSCOVY and ICONIC LADY were all tightened into the first bend with MUSCOVY dropping out as a result finishing at the rear. |
Race 11 | CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C4 - 520 | HOMEBUSH BONNIE led into the straight but was swamped in a close finish ending up in sixth place. TOKENISM (JF Allen) stood down Christchurch GRC on 28 July 2006. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 11 August 2006 |
