Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Race 2. Trainer G.J.Noakes (Gatlin Ghost) was fined $50.00 (first offence) for an admitted breach of Rule 69.11 in relation to a 1.4kg overweight variance from this greyhound's previous race start on 15.06.07.

Race 4. Following consultation with J Charleston, the Trainer of Ashbourne Falcon, Stewards have approved a box first categorisation for this greyhound. The greyhound had been observed and reported to be 'hard to Box' on two previous occasions.

Following the running of Race 8, Stewards conveyed to the Track Manager concerns expressed to them about the condition of the track on the final bend and turn.
The Track Manager's explanation was accepted by the Stewards and further remedial track grooming was undertaken.

Race 1 STREETS ICE CREAM MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C0q - 318 Heat 1 Blackrock Jules missed the start by 5 lengths and made up some ground for 6th. Got Hope ran inwards at the start checking Robbed Again and hampering Karuba Daze. Got hope changed ground outwards on the home turn when 4th and lost 2 lengths by doing so finishing 5th.
Race 2 CAROL'S TABS' MAIDEN STAKES FINAL - C0f - 527 Gatlin Ghost and Call Me Royal were the slowest to begin. Clutters moved outwards after the start checking itself and Call Me Loyal. Call Me Loyal moved outwards on the first bend and checked Gatlin Ghost.
Race 3 STREETS ICE CREAM MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C0q - 318 Heat 1 Bentley Beau and Purple Mamba were slow to begin. Purple Mamba made minor contact with the running rail entering the first turn. Midget Racer and Santas Awesome came together on the first turn with both being checked. Shortly after Santas Awesome moved outwards, collided with I've Got Mail and almost fell. Night Nugget (K.Toomer). Sprained left and right infraspinatis muscles. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 17.07.06.
Race 4 STREETS ICE CREAM MAIDEN SPRINT - HEAT 3 - C0q - 318 Heat 1 Ashbourne Falcon was observed to be 'hard to box'. Indigo and Roys Babe were slow to begin. General tightening after 30 mtrs resulted in checks to Selkcahs Legend, Kapai Roco, Hunkaspunk, Ashbourne Falcon and Santas Assassin. Entering the first turn Kapai Roco and Hunkaspunk jostled with both being checked. That Bloke (A.Cleaver). Lameness right fore at walk and shoulder pain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 7 days to and including 14.07.06.
Race 5 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Dynamic Keroma, Holah A Hypo and Time Solves were slow to begin. Mo Mistress and Entrepreneur came together for several strides after 35 mtrs. Hugo Simpson moved outwards off the rail entering the first turn and severely checked Entrepreneur.
Race 6 OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C2 - 318 Entering the first turn Davron Lass was tightened and severely checked between runners when at the rear. Bee Pees Boy changed ground outwards in the home straight when 5th and lost a length. Hardern Thirst ( B & L Craik ). Rule 64.12 ex Waikato GRC on 06.07.06.
Race 7 KEN FLOWERS MEMORIAL SPRINT - C5 - 318 Mr Miargi and Maxi The Taxi were slow to begin. Delta Belle clipped the heels of and severely checked Aztec Keroma and itself on the first turn then ran very wide, covered a lot of extra ground and was never in contention thereafter. Aztec Keroma and Maxi The Taxi came together for a stride on the bend. Mr Miargi moved wide in the home straight and ran on strongly for 4th. A post race veterinary examination of Kylie's Dilema detected an injury requiring a 5 day stand down from racing. Kylie's Dilema (S.P.Clark). Nail on left hind 5th phalange, torn off at tip. Rule 82.1. 5 days to and including 13.07.06.
Race 8 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD DISTANCE - C0d - 603 Ultra Sting was very slow to begin. Tent Top began on terms with the field and was then observed to drift to the rear of the field after the first turn to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary examination detected an injury requiring a 20 day stand down from racing. Entering the second bend Miss Woofy Cooka moved outwards and severely checked Ashbourne Boss. Tent Top (D.W.Mathews). Swelling and pain left triceps. Rule 82.1. 20 days to and including 28.07.06.
Race 9 PUTT AROUND THE ROCKS DASH - C4 - 318 Rhani Reason and Hypoumunga were both very slow to begin. Super Deal ran outwards after the start and checked itself and Time Over Boots. Entering the first bend Homebush Basmati gave ground and caused severe checks to itself and Hypoumunga which fell. A post race veterinary examination of Hypoumunga detected an injury requiring a 15 day stand down from racing. Hypoumunga (B& L Craik). Left gracilis muscle tear. Rule 82.1. 15 days to and including 23.07.06.
Race 10 KAIMAI GOLD DASH - C3 - 318 Gold Strike, Maxine's Beauty and Danny Hand were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Junior Time and Shiraz Vine came together for a stride.
Race 11 WE RACE SATURDAY 15TH JULY STAKES - C2/3 - 527 Friendly Virus ran outwards at the start and made contact with Joebees Jet with both being checked. On the first bend Joebees Jet ran outwards and checked itself and Davron Express which raced at the rear of the field thereafter. Shooshla (S.P.Clark). Severe diarrhoea. No Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.14. 28 days to and including 05.08.06. (Registration papers to be presented to Stewards for endorsement).
