They lost all chance finishing at the rear. HOMEBUSH SONYA (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with a puncture wound to the left fore pad. Veterinary certificate supplied. Into the home straight PAREORA JACK and HOMEBUSH THORN came together losing ground. HOMEBUSH THORN finished on for second with PAREORA JACK weakening to fourth. |
| Race 5 | 2006 GIBSON TROPHY - C2d - 732 | The hot favourite OIZDON SPICE was tightened and lost ground on the first bend. She settled towards the rear until the back straight when she unleashed a burst which took her to the lead before running away to win impressively. LIGHT POCKETS (GA Cleeve) elevated temperature. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 3 July 2006. |
| Race 6 | 2006 MAYOR'S CUP - C2 - 520 | OPAWA MUSIC and BLACK SAUCE were badly checked into the first bend settling at the rear. They finished amongst the tailenders. Down the back straight the favourite OPAWA STATE was badly checked by OPAWA MUSIC losing all chance. OPAWA STATE was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed right wrist pain on flexion with a seven day stand down recommended. LIPSLIDE was subject to a veterinary examination which revealed sore right triceps with a seven day stand down recommended. LIPSLIDE (R Adcock) sore right triceps. At the end of the back straight SYDNEY TITLE and GO PEARL GO tangled both losing ground with GO PEARL GO finishing fourth and SYDNEY TITLE last. |
| Race 8 | NUTRI-ZING SPRINT - C4 - 295 | MRS DOO was tightened into the bend coming back on GOODTIME DEN and GARLAND GREEN. Soon after PROSPERO, WILD BILL and SOUTHBROOK STAR tangled losing all chance. GOODTIME DEN railed up turning in to finish on for second with the others at the rear. |
