Judicial report: Weather: Fine Race 1. G.Calverley (I've Got Mail - 31.8kg) was fined $50.00 (first offence) for an admitted breach of Rule 69.11 in relation to a 1.2kg underweight variance from this greyhound's previous race start on 04.06.06 (33.0kg).

Following information received from AGRC Raceday Secretary (T.Taylor), Stewards opened an inquiry under Rule 38.1 (b) in relation to the greyhound Homebush Lisa (R.P.O'Regan) a reserve in both Races 3 (C2 / 3 - first reserve) and 10 (C2 Feature - second reserve) gaining a start in Race 3 due to scratchings when the same opportunity eventuated to start in Race 10 (preferred race).
Following consultation with Trainer R.P.O'Regan and Raceday Secretary T.Taylor, Stewards took into account all relevant information, circumstances and time frames surrounding the oversight and subsequently reached the decision to severely reprimand T.Taylor on this occasion.

Race 1 WWW.RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ DASH - C0 - 318 I've Got Mail and Clutters were very slow to begin. Nearing the first turn Bradbree Lass, Delability and Robbed Again came together and jostled for several strides. Robbed Again moved outwards slightly on the first turn and severely checked Ashbourne Falcon twice. Santas Awesome raced wide on the bend and covered extra ground.
Race 2 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD DASH - C1 - 318 Montecito and Distinctly Roys were the slowest to begin. Last Timbah ran inwards at the start and checked Trendy Jill. Catch A virus and Tempest Lass came together after 50 mtrs and jostled continuously until the first turn resulting in checks to both and also Bassai Dai which was racing behind them. Entering the first turn Catch A Virus moved outwards off the rail, colliding with Trendy Jill which fell heavily and resulting in severe checks to Last Timbah, Montecito, Distinctly Roys and to a lesser extent Bassai Dai. A post race veterinary examination of Trendy Jill detected injury requiring a 7 day stand down from racing. Catch A Virus ran out on the home turn when running 3rd and lost ground to finish 6th. Race 3 REASON FINANCE LTD STAKES - C2/3 - 527 Homebush Goliath was the slowest to begin. Maximum raced wide around the first bend and then slowed to a walk after entering the back straight and taking no competitive part in the remainder of the race eventually crossing the finish line a very distant last. A post race veterinary examination detected an injury requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Token Diamond (P.B.Freeman). Rule 64.12 ex AGRC 25.06.06. Raheny Reason (T.A.Green). Left hand side shoulder blade muscle injury. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 05.07.06. Frosty's Special (N.P.Green). Hock injury - euthanased. Maximum (K & C Munday). Injury to right gracilis muscle. Rule 82.1. 14 days to and including 11.07.06.
Race 4 OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C1 - 318 Our Shereena was the slowest to begin. Best Place moved outwards after 30 mtrs and collided with Homebush Westie which became unbalanced and fell heavily into the path of Miss Chief which was severely checked and to a lesser extent Our Shereena. A post race veterinary examination of Homebush Westie detected no injury. Best Place changed ground outwards and raced very wide around the bend before running on well for 3rd. Race 5 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD DISTANCE - C0d - 603 Autumn Angel and Mochaccino were the slowest to begin. Entering the turn out of the home straight on the first lap Mochaccino, Autumn Angel and Certainly came together with all being checked slightly. A post race veterinary examination of Big Sam Junior detected no injury. Under Time (L.Nixon). Rule 82.1 ex AGRC 25.06.06. Not Waiting (L.Jensen & C. Ramsey). Groin strain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 05.07.06. Tourist Jack ( L.Nixon). Late scratching. Injury to right hind leg over proximal metatarsus cranio-lateral aspect. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days to and including 04.07.06.
Race 6 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C4/5 - 318 Role Model was very slow and Mr Miargi and Parra Power slow to begin. Dyna Ropati and Just Hasty came together for a stride after 40 mtrs with both being checked slightly. Role Model ran very wide on the home turn when racing at the rear. Aztec Keroma (G.E.Harding). Sore left radius with swelling. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 06.07.06.(Registration papers to be presented to Stewards for endorsement) Little Toot (K.E.Lomas). Bruised right hind gracilis muscle. No Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.14. 28 days to and including 23.07.06.
Race 7 STREETS ICE CREAM - C3 - 318 Rhani Reason, Danny Hand and Kiwi Fire were the slowest to begin. Kiwi Fire moved outwards after 50 mtrs and carted Danny Hand wide for several strides. Entering the first turn Shiraz Vine moved outwards off the rail and checked Poetical which dropped back quickly to last and stayed there. Rock It Hound moved outwards on the home turn and carted Kiwi Fire wide. Erickson Bale (G.N.Pomeroy). Rule 82.1 ex AGRC 25.06.06.
Race 8 CAROL'S TABS' STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Ridley Reason was the slowest to begin. Touch Of Smokey moved inwards at the start and caused tightening and checks to Flash Shooter and Time Solves.
Race 9 'WE RACE 9TH JULY' DASH - C2 - 318 Bee Pees Boy and Just The Don were the slowest to begin. Joebees Jet ran inwards at the start causing general tightening and severe checks to itself and all other runners with the exception of Bee Pees Boy and Ina Tizzy. Suitability and Ritzy Reason jostled repeatedly after 30 mtrs until the first turn with both being severely checked several times. Ritzy Reason then dropped out to the rear of the field and stayed there finishing a distant last. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected an injury requiring a 7 day stand down from racing. Suitability moved outwards on the home turn and came together with Just The Don resulting in both being checked. King Calibre (M.H.Knight). Injuries to pad on left hind leg and caudal aspect of right metatarsals. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 7 days to and including 03.07.06. Jimmitom (G.Calverley). Rule 82.1 ex AGRC 25.06.06. Ritzy Reason (B & L Craik). Injury to left quadriceps femoris muscle. Rule 82.1. 7 days to and including 04.07.06.
Race 10 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ STAKES FEATURE - C2 - 527 Killer Touch was the slowest to begin. Royal Tap was denied racing room for several strides on the first turn. Nearing the end of the back straight Buddy Hand moved inwards to a rail position and checked Royal Tap. Killer Touch moved outwards on the home turn and inconvenienced Awesome Hit slightly. Dyna Sandra (G.N.Pomeroy). Injury to right carpus. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 7 days to and including 03.07.06.
