Race 5. This race was delayed 6 mins due to a lure malfunction prior to the pre race stir-ups being conducted. Upon investigation it was determined that a wire on the lure carriage had become loose necessitating the lure carriage to be replaced.

Race 1 LECTRO HAIR AND BEAUTY STAKES - C2 - 527 Davron Express, This Time Boots and Frosty's Special were the slowest to begin. Friendly Virus came across after the start and checked itself and This Time Boots. Killer Touch was also checked in this incident and tightened for room. Racing into the first bend killer touch came out and checked itself and This Time Boots. Royal Tap (P.B.Freeman). ex Wanganui GRC 23.06.06.
Race 2 RODEWALD HART BROWN LTD DASH - C5 - 318 Little Toot and Movie Man were the slowest to begin. Going into the first bend Tarrah came out and checked itself and Cawbourne Lukey. Maxi The Taxi came in and also received a check in this incident. Bailed Out (S.P.Clark). Right hock strain with concurrent calf tear. Rule 64.12. 21 days to and including 14.07.06.
Race 3 SWISS DELI STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Kola's Glory and Prince Toshack were slow to begin who was racing in 3rd place ran out going into the first bend checking itself and Sea Drifter. A post race veterinary examination of Prince Toshack detected an injury Prince Toshack (G.A.Lawrence). Split webbing between left hind 4th and 5th phalanges. Injected. Rule 82.1. 21 days to and including 15.07.06.
Race 4 ROOFING IMPROVEMENTS DASH - C1 - 318 This race started 2 mins later than scheduled due to a request from TAB Trackside. Distinctly Roys and Denzil Dancer were slow to begin. Forever Running came outwards shortly after the start and checked itself and Homebush Westie with this runner then coming out at this point and checking Goldfinger Jewel. Nikkei (R.A.McPhee). ex Waikato GRC 23.06.06 Ghost Nugget (K.Toomer). ex AGRC 21.06.06. Goldfinger Jewel (G.Farrell). Split webbing between 4th and 5th phalanges left hind. 5th metatarso-phalangeal joint swollen and sore. Injected. Rule 82.1. 30 days to and including 24.07.06.
Race 5 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD STAKES - C2/3 - 527 This race was delayed 6 mins due to the lure needing to be replaced. Homebush Goliath and Raheny Reason were slow to begin. Homebush Goliath checked Raheny Reason going into the first bend. Token Diamond (P.B.Freeman). Late scratching. Swelling, heat and pain in the semitendonosis muscle. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 days to and including 15.07.06.
Race 6 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ SPRINT FEATURE - C2 - 318 This race started 3 mins later than scheduled due to a request from the TAB Trackside. Miss MacSteele was slow to begin. Lord Maximus came inwards shortly after the start checking itself and Just The Don. Miss MacSteele was denied clear racing room and was checked in this incident. Ace Of Spies (G.Calverley). Torn left hind groin muscle. No vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.14. 28 days to and including 20.07.06. (Trainer advised Stewards that is very likely this greyhound will be retired from racing immediately). Jimmitom (G.Calverley). Spike wound left hind leg. Rule 82.1. 7 days to and including 01.07.06.
Race 7 CAROL'S TABS' DASH - C4 - 318 Mr Miargi, Kiwi Fire and MacMcLeod were slow to begin. Hypoumunga ran outwards after the field jumped and checked Mr Miargi slightly. Kiwi Fire ran wide on the first turn checking itself and Hostile Arch. Reserve Decision (S.P.Clark). ex Waikato GRC 23.06.06. Under Time ( L.Nixon). Left hock dislocated distal intertarsal joint. Bandaged and injected. Rule 82.1. 30 days to and including 24.07.06.
Race 8 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD DISTANCE - C0d - 603 Racing into the turn out of the back straight Certainly cut to the rail and took the line of Thrilling Neo with Under Time then checking off the heels of this runner. Under Time finished in last place and was assisted from the track. A post race veterinary examination detected an injury requiring a 30 day stand down from racing. Thrilling Zoe (K.Walsh). Strained left lateral triceps. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12 10 days to and including 02.07.06.
Race 9 WWW.EXPOSURES.CO.NZ - WEBSITE HOSTING STAKES - C1 - 527 Andwyn and Criteria were slow to begin. Andwyn came together with San Shin going into the first turn. San Shin checked itself and Mochaccino racing into the first turn. San Shin then checked off the hind quarters of Mochaccino and raced wider on the track. Booming Time (J.R.Udy). ex AGRC 21.06.06. Autumn Angel (G.A.Lawrence). Gained start in Race 8.
Race 10 'WE RACE WEDNESDAY 28TH JUNE' DASH - C3 - 318 This race started 2 mins later than scheduled due to a request from TAB Trackside. Final Objective, Danny Hand and Rock It Hound were slow to begin. Erickson Bale and Poetical came together for a stride after the field jumped. Loaded Gun came outwards shortly after the start and checked Junior Time. Racing around the home bend Erickson Bale gave ground rapidly going backwards and causing Rock It Hound to be severely checked. Erickson Bale (G.N.Pomeroy). Right hock strain. Rule 82.1. 10 days to and including 04.07.06.
