Judicial report: Weather: Overcast / cold. The automatic timing system failed to operate for the first four races and following investigation it was determined that a timing cable to the timekeeper's computer had become loose. This was rectified and no further problems were encountered.

Race 1	CAMBRIDGE HURDLES SERIES - HEAT 1 - C1/2h - 457	Ngapuhi Girl was marginally slow to begin. Aranui Flash, Ngapuhi Girl and Aranui Speedy came together after the start. Aranui Speedy twisted on landing after the second hurdle and fell checking Aranui Flash and Ngapuhi Girl. Aranui Speedy finished the race in last placing. A post race veterinary examination of Aranui Speedy detected no injury.
Race 2	CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN - HEAT 1 - C0q - 457 Heat 1	Clutters was the slowest to begin. Sudoku Solver and Riconiak came together at the start. Bright Token ran inwards after 20 mtrs checking itself and Kapai Boof this was repeated after 45 mtrs. Sudoku Solver and Riconiak jostled for several strides after 40 mtrs. Entering the first turn Minstral Lad made contact with the running rail, became unbalance and galloped on the hind quarters of Bright Token which fell heavily. Minstral Lad then rebounded outwards into the path of Clutters which also fell heavily. Minstral Lad was severely checked again and put out of the contest as a result of this incident and Kapai Boof severely inconvenienced. Post race veterinary examinations of Riconiak, Bright Token and Clutters detected no injuries to Riconiak or Clutters however a serious injury to Bright Token resulted in this greyhound being euthanased. Bright Token (L.Bliek). Fractured right front leg radius. Euthanased.
Race 3	IMPROVERS DASH - C1 - 375	Distinctly Roys was the slowest to begin. Spyridon Louis and Miss Luck came together after 20 mtrs with both being checked A post race veterinary examination of Nikkei detected an injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. Ghost Nugget (K.Toomer). Rule 82.1 ex AGRC on 21.06.06. Nikkei (R.A.McPhee). Right hind third digit pad cut / bleeding. Rule 82.1. 10 days to and including 02.07.06.
Race 4	CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN - HEAT 2 - C0q - 457 Heat 1	That Girl was the slowest to begin. Double Happy ran inwards at the start and checked Token Enforcer and Purple Mamba. Shortly after Double Happy moved inwards again and severely checked Blackrock Jules. That Girl moved inwards after 50 mtrs and severely checked itself and Token Enforcer. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Double Happy, Purple Mamba and Blackrock Jules.
Race 5	GRANDVIEW SPORTS BAR DASH - C2/3 - 375	Entering the first Charlston Flash and Lady Tandia came together with both being checked. Shooshla ran very wide on the bend.
Race 6	CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN - HEAT 3 - C0q - 457 Heat 1	No Warning was the slowest to begin. Spring Bundy and Nutty Squirrel came together at the start with Nutty Squirrel being checked. Kapai Roco and Grundy came together after 50 mtrs with Grundy being checked. Nearing and entering the first turn Kapai Roco and Thrilling Louie came together several times with both being checked.
Race 7	T.A.B. PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE DASH - C4 - 375	Mr Blackout and Coach Purdon came together at the start with Mr Blackout being checked slightly. Entering the first turn Marissa Bale and Ivan Evans came together with Marissa Bale being checked. These runners then ran very wide on the bend. Reserve Decision (S.P.Clark). De-gloving digital pad injury to right front toe. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 02.07.06.
Race 8	CLUB HOUSE CAFE & SPORTS BAR STAKES - C1 - 457	Criteria and Ultra Sting were the slowest to begin. Barramundi Flex reared as the boxes opened and lost a length. Hot Dickadee, Barramundi Flex and Ultra Sting came together after the start with all being checked. Entering the first turn Ultra Sting and Barramundi Flex came together for a stride. Astro Sharrie ran very wide on the bend. Gatlin Breeze (S.L.Ross). Inflamed left fore lateral toe and swelling / pain under throat. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 10 days to and including 02.07.06.
Race 9	HAUTAPU STAKES - C3 - 457	Rowland Reason was the slowest to begin. Earl McRoberts ran inwards at the start and checked Not Waiting and Thrilling Buzz slightly. Nearing the first turn Not Waiting moved outwards and hampered Raheny Reason slightly. Earl McRoberts moved outwards on the first turn and was severely checked from behind by Raheny Reason. Rowland Reason made contact with the heels of Not Waiting after straightening for the run to the finish.
Race 10	RACEWAY STAKES - C4/5 - 457	There was no 'head on' coverage of this race available from TAB Trackside. Winsome State, Sea Drifter and Dynamic Keroma were the slowest to begin.
Race 11	TAUWHARE STAKES - C1 - 457	Auditor's Folly was the slowest to begin. Maggy Jay and Harmoneyes came together at the start with both being checked. Bet She Can and Grays Joe came together after 30 mtrs with both being checked. Grays Joe then moved inwards checking itself and severely checking Lily Longlegs from behind. Lily Longlegs changed ground outwards on the first turn, lost two lengths and then ran wide on the home turn.
Race 12	DUAL CODE RACING HERE 29 JUNE - C2 - 457	Glenmire and Stabila Boss came together for a stride at the start. Nearing and entering the first turn King Calibre and Victory Chant jostled for several strides with Victory Chant becoming tightened between runners, falling heavily and contacting the hind quarters of and severely checking King Calibre in the process. Post race veterinary examinations of these runners detected no injuries.
