Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Club Officials and Electrician are acknowledged for the efficiency and speed with which repair to a section of failed lighting in the back straight was completed between races 5 and 6. This resulted in a minimal (2 min) delay to the start of Race 6.

Race 4. Trainer F.D.Farmer (Lord Maximus) admitted a breach of Rule 69.11 and was fined $50.00 (first offence) for presenting the above greyhound 1.5kg overweight from it's previous race start on 04.06.06.

Stewards have concluded their inquiry opened on 04.06.06 under Rule 38.1(b) in relation to them not being notified by Weighing Officials of a 1.1kg weight variance / infringement applying to the greyhound Bailed Out (S.P.Clark). Having considered all relevant information and the fact that this was the first time failure to report has occurred, the Official responsible has been reprimanded.

Race 1 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ DASH - C0 - 318 Call Me Loyal (fav and 3rd), Clutters and Forest Knight were the slowest to begin. Nearing the first turn Bright Token, Alassandro and Clutters came together with all being checked. Shortly after Call Me Loyal made minor made minor contact with the running rail and rebounded outwards slightly causing checks to Clutters and Alassandro.
Race 2 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL STAKES - C1 - 527 Booming Time, Grays Joe, Ivals Folly and Criteria were the slowest to begin. Autumn Angel ran inwards at the start and checked Mochaccino and Grays Joe. Certainly changed ground outwards and galloped and made contact with the hind quarters of Autumn Angel on the first turn. Grays Joe changed ground outwards on the first turn. Booming Time moved outwards on the first bend and checked Criteria. A post race veterinary examination of Booming Time detected an injury requiring a 7 day stand down from racing. Thrilling Zeus (fav and winner) and Ivals Folly came together for a stride on the home turn. Cosmic Eclipse (R.P.O'Regan). Injured leg. Trainer advised Stewards that this greyhound has been retired from racing. Booming Time (J.R.Udy). Bruising over caudal aspect of right tibia. Rule 82.1. 7 days to and including 27.06.06.
Race 3 LION FOUNDATION DASH - C1 - 318 Homebush Westie was the slowest to begin. General Tightening after 40 mtrs resulted in checks to Talkabout That, Goldfinger Jewel, Homebush Heather and Homebush Westie. Shortly after Talkabout That endeavoured to move inwards and Ghost Nugget outwards causing severe checks to themselves, Goldfinger Jewel, Homebush Heather and Homebush Westie. Jostling and resulting checks of varying degrees involving these runners continued into the first turn with Ghost Nugget becoming tightened and falling heavily. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected an injury requiring a 7 day stand down from racing. Ghost Nugget (K.Toomer). Bruising over lateral aspect of left biceps femoris. Rule 82.1. 7 days to and including 27.06.06.
Race 4 CAROL'S TABS' DASH - C2 - 318 Joebees Jet (3rd) and Just The Don were the slowest to begin then raced wide and covered extra ground for much of the race. Lord Maximus ran inwards after 40 mtrs and severely checked itself, Miss MacSteele and to a lesser extent Jimmitom. Miss MacSteele and Lord Maximus came together entering the first turn with both being checked and Lord Maximus then drifting for several strides and checking Jimmitom.
Race 5 NZ BREEDERS HEAT - R/Aq - 527 Heat 1 Thrilling Taz and Coruba Rush were the slowest to begin. Thrilling Wink ran inwards at the start checking Thrilling Hugo (fav and winner), Thrilling Taz and Thrilling Guy. Kaimai Gold and Thrilling Guy came together for a stride after 40 mtrs and were both severely checked. Thrilling Sassy and Thrilling Hugo came together after 45 mtrs with both being checked. Thrilling Sassy ran wide into the home straight.
Race 6 OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C5 - 318 Stooge was the slowest to begin. Don Paulie and Little Toot came together for a stride at the start with both being checked slightly. Aztec Keroma (fav and 2nd) moved inwards after 35 mtrs and hampered Bailed Out which shortly after raced very wide and at the rear finishing a clear last. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury. Stooge ran wide on the home turn. Foreign Diplomat (B & L Craik). Left supraspinatus injury. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 14 days to and including 04.07.06.
Race 7 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Cawbourne Baron (fav and winner) jumped awkwardly at the start and lost two lengths. Warnie, Mo'em Down and Rivette Reason were slowest to begin. Sea Drifter ran wide on the home turn.
Race 8 PAT PATERSON MEMORIAL SPRINT - C3 - 318 Danny Hand, Jimmytheone, Rock It Hound and Loaded Gun (fav and winner) were the slowest to begin. Jimmytheone and Danny Hand came together for several strides after 40 mtrs and again near the first turn. Entering the first turn Rock It Hound moved inwards and came together with Jimmytheone and Danny Hand all of which were severely checked. Loaded Gun ran inwards entering the first turn and severely checked itself and Junior Time. Thrilling Buzz (G.A.Lawrence). NZGRA / Club scratching. No Penalty.
Race 9 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING LTD DASH - C3/4 - 318 Kiwi Fire, Mr Miargi and Corston Flyer were the slowest to begin. General tightening after 25 mtrs resulted in checks to Time Over Boots, MacMcLeod, Kiwi Fire and Big Archie. Mr Miargi moved outwards after 50 mtrs and hampered Corston Flyer. Corston Flyer ran very wide on the home turn when at the rear and remained there. Origin Teddy (G.Calverley). Injury to fifth metatarso - phalangeal joint capsule on right side. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.13. 14 days to and including 04.07.06.
Race 10 GREYHOUNDS AS PETS STAKES - C2/3 - 527 Killer Touch, Shooshla and Ash's Assassin were the slowest to begin. Massachusetts moved inwards after 20 mtrs and severely checked itself and Tent Top. Tent Top moved outwards on the first turn and bumped Shooshla outwards which in turn severely checked Under Time. Rowland Reason moved outwards on the first bend taking the path of and checking Tent Top.
