Race 2	COMMERCIAL HOTEL MANAIA STAKES - C0 - 520	THRILLING SPIKE was scratched ex Wanganui on 01.06.06. HOMEBUSH NICKY was a late scratching after breaking away from the handler and suffering injuries which resulted in the dog being euthanased. The Trainers explanation for the dog escaping was accepted on this occasion. OPAWA HONEY was handy to the first turn but was checked, went back to last and stayed there to the finish. THRILLING SPIKE ex Wanganui on 01.06.06.
Race 3	THE LOCAL HAWERA SPRINT - C0 - 305	GIGGILO GEE JAY was scratched due to injury. FOUR MEMORIES was checked back to last soon after the start but recovered to finish well for 2nd place. GIGGILO GEE JAY S.Blackburn Rule 64 Suffering from bicep muscle and toe injuries and stood down for 10 days to and including 11.06.06. HOMEBUSH NICKY R.Hunt Rule 68.26 A late scratching due to deep cuts and severe bruising sustained when making contact with a fence. The dog was euthanased.
Race 4	EGMONT TYRE SERVICES LTD STAKES - C1 - 520	UNO EFFALL was scratched ex Wanganui on 01.06.06. All clear. UNO EFFALL ex Wanganui on 01.06.06.
Race 5	TARANAKI PATRON'S DISTANCE - C0d - 645	AULD SON was scratched due to a blood disorder. ROYAL TAP was a late scratching due to injury. THRILLING ZUES and PACEY MACEY were the slowest away but they recovered to finish 1st and 3rd. AULD SON P.Freeman Rule 64 Suffering from a blood disorder and stood down for 28 days to and including 30.06.06. ROYAL TAP P.Freeman Rule 68.26 A late scratching due to an injury to a chest muscle and stood down for 10 days to and including 13.06.06.
Race 6	PRESIDENTS SPRINT - C1 - 305	ARANUI FLASH moved off the rail on the bend and checked TUSSY who lost several lengths and IMAGE OF ISHBELL who also lost ground but recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 7	TARANAKI FARMERS STAKES - C2 - 520	SHEEZA CORKA was scratched ex Wanganui on 01.06.06 and is deceased BANJO COUNTRY led early in the race but dropped back quickly to last in the back straight and finished several lengths last. The Vets inspection. revealed a spike wound but no stand down was required. SHEEZA CORKA ex Wanganui on 01.06.06 Now deceased.
Race 8	IVAN FROST MEMORIAL - R/A - 520	THRILLING OLLIE and THRILLING GUY were both checked on the first bend, dropped out to the rear and finished well back.
Race 9	THE LOCAL HAWERA TARANAKI CUP - C5 - 520	EXCEPTIONAL KOLA was scratched due to injury. The favourite BIG BAD STEFANO checked off the heels of HUGO SIMPSON on the first turn and lost ground but recovered to finish in 3rd place. ANTONI BEE was checked on the first turn and dropped back onto CELESTIAL. They lost several lengths and finished a long distance behind the other runners. EXCEPTIONAL KOLA D.Schofield Rule 64 Suffering from a hock injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 30.06.06.
Race 10	EGMONT TYRE SERVICES LTD SPRINT - C2 - 305	PIC A PAC and RAVE REVIEW were tightened and checked on the first corner, lost several lengths and all chance and tailed the field home.
