Race 2 | WWW.GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ STAKES - C0 - 545 | THAT VIRUS stumbled from the boxes settling six lengths losing all chance to finish last. The favourite CLASSIC MOVE and COOL PILGRIM were slow to jump settling well back. Turning for home CLASSICAL MOVE struck HOMEBUSH JADE both losing momentum. They finished near the rear. Race 3 | BRIAN BAGLEY DRIVER LICENSING SPRINT - C2 - 310 | There was no race coverage from Trackside - only audio coverage. The race was run without incident. |
Race 4 | DARRYL TRAINER ELECTRICAL SPRINT - C2 - 310 | Again no Trackside coverage. Into the bend THRILLING ARCHIE tightened CLAN MISTY and JUST AWESOME, these two coming back on HOMEBUSH RYAN and ROVING LIGHT. A trailing HALCYON HILL also had her chances affected by the skirmish. CLAN MISTY recovered well to run on for second with the others filling the last four placings. |
Race 5 | 'SPOTTED HAND AT STUD' STAKES - C1 - 545 | THRILLING ALBERT and HOMEBUSH JOCK came together into the first bend losing ground finishing near the rear with MY BEEDLEBOMB who drifted out over the concluding stages of the race. THRILLING TYKE ran out on the first bend before finishing strongly for third. |
Race 6 | OAMARU TRAINERS SPRINT - C3/4 - 310 | The favourite MISSING FERN was checked as a result of clipping HOMEBUSH JESSIE'S hindquarter into the bend before finishing strongly in the straight for fourth. HOMEBUSH JESSIE finished sixth. |
Race 7 | QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY WEEKEND STAKES - C4/5 - 545 | The short priced favourite MICKI drove to the lead into the first bend running away to win untested. SIESMIC (RH Adcock) right hind gracilus injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 10 June 2006. |
Race 8 | SPEEDPRINT SHOP SPRINT - C5 - 310 | HOMEBUSH DOUG was slow to jump settling at the rear. Into the bend OCTOBER PLACARD was checked coming back on HOMEBUSH DOUG and SPECIAL DOONS. All three finished near the rear. |
Race 9 | SOUTHERN SPORTS BAR TRIPLE HIT SEMI FINAL - INVq - 545 Heat 1 | Into the first bend CAWBOURNE FRIEND was tightened coming back on MULBERRY TRUMP and HOMEBUSH THORN who both sustained checks. They filled the last two placings with CAWBOURNE FRIEND fifth. |
Race 10 | SOUTHERN SPORTS BAR TRIPLE HIT SEMI FINAL - INVq - 545 Heat 1 | USER FRIENDLY was slow to jump settling at the rear. When endeavouring to improve at the end of the back straight he was held up before finishing resolutely in the straight for fifth. ICE LAW was checked at the end of the back straight losing ground to finish last. |
