Judicial report: Weather: Fine Race 5. Not Waiting (L. Jensen & C.Ramsey) was observed and reported to be 'hard to box'. This was discussed with Co - Trainer C.Ramsey and no further action was taken by Stewards at this stage.

The following weight variances were admitted breaches of Rule 69.11:
Race 1. Homebush Eagle (R.P.O'Regan). 1.1kg over. (4th offence - mandatory consideration / discretion of Stewards) $100.00 fine imposed.
Race 5. Homebush Lisa (R.P.O'Regan). 1.3kg under. ( 5th offence - mandatory consideration / discretion of Stewards) $100.00 fine imposed.
Stewards interviewed Trainer R.P.O'Regan regarding a number of recent weight infringements incurred by greyhounds in his kennels. Possible causes were identified, noted and considered in relation to penalty / total fine.
Race 9. Augusta Allen (G.N.Pomeroy). 1.2kg over. (2nd offence) $100.00 fine imposed.

Race 1 STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - C0 - 527 Grays Joe and Night Nugget were the slowest to begin. Maggy Jay ran inwards at the start and stumbled as well as hampering Gatlin Breeze (fav and winner) slightly which also ran inwards as a result. Entering the first turn Dreams Are Free moved outwards and severely checked itself, Gatlin Ghost and Maggy Jay. This interference was repeated again on the first bend.
Race 2 REASON FINANCE DASH - C5 - 318 Comical Ali, Charlston Time and Foreign Diplomat were marginally slow to begin. General tightening after 30 mtrs resulted in slight checks to Charlston Time, Comical Ali, Delta Belle and Just Hasty. Comical Ali changed ground outwards on the bend and made contact with the hind quarters of Coruba Rush resulting in both runners being checked. Coruba Rush moved outwards on the home turn and inconvenienced Comical Ali. Foreign Diplomat raced very wide throughout covering extra ground. Stooge (N.P.Green). Left hind hip support soreness on palpation. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 27.05.06.
Race 3 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING STAKES - C3/4 - 527 Thrilling Match and Ash's Assassin were the slowest to begin. Thrilling Neo (fav and 4th) ran inwards at the start causing tightening and severe checks to Ash's Assassin, Stabila Boss and to a lesser extent Thrilling Match. Ash's Assassin ran very wide on the first turn. Stabila Boss moved outwards on the first bend and hampered Thrilling Neo for several strides. Shining Comet moved off the rail on the home turn, clipped the heels of Ash's Assassin severely checking itself and then running very wide. A post race veterinary examination of Shining Comet detected a minor injury requiring a 3 day stand down from racing. Shining Comet (W.Steele). Right carpal soreness with minimal pain on palpation and flexion. Rule 82.1. 3 days to and including 23.05.06. (Registration papers to be presented to Stewards for endorsement).
Race 4 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C4 - 318 General tightening after 40 mtrs resulted in severe checks to Origin Teddy, Prince Flex and Togetherness. Big Nate Banner moved outwards on the first turn and checked Origin Teddy slightly. Origin Teddy and Prince Flex came together for a stride on the home turn.
Race 5 KAIMAI GOLD STAKES - C2 - 527 Davron Express, Homebush Lisa and Indefinite were the slowest to begin. Stinger Bart ran inwards shortly after the start and checked Davron Express and Homebush Lisa. Nearing the first turn Thrilling Monty moved inwards and checked itself and Shooshla slightly. Davron Express, Homebush Lisa and Stinger Bart came together on the first turn with all being checked slightly. Entering the back straight Homebush Lisa was tightened and checked between runners. Davron Express and Stinger Bart came together on the final bend with both being checked and becoming unbalanced for several strides. Thrilling Monty moved inwards to the rail after straightening for the run home and inconvenienced Miss Tonsberg slightly.
Race 6 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #18 FINAL - RESf - 527 Charlston Kid and Time Solves were the slowest to begin. Hello Awesome (winner) ran inwards at the start and checked Flash Shooter slightly. Entering the first turn Flash Shooter endeavoured to move inwards and Virtuoso outwards causing tightening and severe checks to Thrilling Pearl (fav and 5th) and Virtuoso. A post race veterinary examination of Charlston Kid detected an injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. Charlston Kid (D.Schofield). Split webbing left fore between 3rd and 4th phalanges. Injected and bandaged. Rule 82.1. 10 days to and including 30.05.06. (Registration papers to be presented to Stewards for endorsement).
Race 7 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ DASH - C3 - 318 MacMcLeod ((fav and 2nd), Big Archie and Davron Lass were the slowest to begin. Poetical ran inwards at the start causing tightening and checks to Rock It Hound and Big Archie. MacMcLeod and Big Archie came together three times prior to the first turn with both being checked each time. Entering the first turn general tightening and related movement resulted in severe checks to MacMcLeod, Big Archie, Rock It Hound and Davron Lass. Rock It Hound and Davron Lass came together on the bend with Davron Lass being severely checked again.
Race 8 OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C2 - 318 Widespread interference from the start until the first turn resulted in severe checks to all runners at various stages with Dyna Sandra, Super Deal, Farmer Benson and Camcaff being affected several times. A post race veterinary examination of Super Deal detected an injury requiring a 30 day stand down from racing. Super Deal (D.W.Mathews). Medial collateral ligament of 3rd distal interphalangeal joint of left hind leg affected as joint dislocated. Injected and bandaged. Rule 82.1. 30 days to and including 19.06.06.
Race 9 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD STAKES - C1 - 527 Killer Touch, Aria Allen, Criteria and Thrilling Zoe were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Killer Touch (winner) moved inwards to the rail and severely checked itself and Bet She Can (3rd). San Shin changed ground outwards across the heels of Thrilling Zoe on the first bend, lost 4 lengths and was always near or at the rear thereafter.
Race 10 'WE RACE THURSDAY 25TH MAY' DASH - C1 - 318 Last Timbah and Just Bank It were the slowest to begin. Homebush Westie ran inwards at the start and inconvenienced Goldfinger Jewel. Entering the first turn Catch A Virus and Spyridon Louis jostled for several strides which also resulted in Just Bank It being checked. On the home turn Catch A Virus and Spyridon Louis came together with both being checked slightly.
