Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer JS Rush was charged with a breach of Rule 88.1(y) in respect of his handling of BRIGHT GEORGE at the Otago GRC meeting on 11 May 2006. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $25.00.
Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when Homebush Jade weighed in 1.2kg lighter than its previous race weight.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE STAKES - C1 - 520 HOSANNAS RETURN and SANDAVE were checked into the first bend settling last. SANDAVE ran on late for fifth with HOSANNAS RETURN drifting out to finish a clear last. A post race veterinary check revealed nothing amiss. Turning for home ONCE AGAIN BARB check out off the leader NIGHT RAID, losing momentum to finish fourth. NIGHT RAID was run down late by COUGARS CRUZIN.
Race 2 GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING DASH - C0 - 295 READY FOR TEDDY and CLAN MARY LOU were slow to jump from the inside boxes. Soon after the start SMART WAY ran inwards, badly checking the favourite SCOTEXCITED and LOCHINVAR BLITZ who went down on her nose, both losing ground. Into the bend the improving SCOTEXCITED was held up and then checked by BRIGHT GEORGE, before clearing this dog finishing strongly in the straight for fourth.
Race 3 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY SPRINT - C0 - 295 UPBEAT stood in the boxes losing six lengths. Soon after the start MONTY ZUMA and BRIGHT OPAWA were badly checked by HOMEBUSH LARKIN on their outer. They lost all chance finishing at the rear with UPBEAT who was checked again in the home straight. Around the bend HAVE MY SAY was checked when clipping the heels of MADAME JO JO. He recovered to finish fourth. Into the home straight an improving BRITE OPAWA collided with HOMEBUSH LARKIN.
Race 4 WILSONS SPORTS BAR & TAB - C1 - 520 SOMERSET BLUE and DANCING HARRY came together soon after the jump. Into the first bend DANCING HARRY moved outwards checking HOMEBUSH CLAN and MISTRESS BELLA. DANCING HARRY ran on late for second with the other three finishing at the rear. BLUE FERN (GA Cleeve) was a late scratching at kennelling with an infected foot. Veterinary Certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 23 May 2006
Race 5 GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND STAKES - C0 - 520 RAILS BOOKMAKER was slow to jump running on for fifth. SMOOTH GIRL missed the jump by 4 lengths settling a clear last finishing seventh.
Race 6 ADDINGTON FUNCTION CENTRE STAKES - C0 - 520 THRILLING CHAD and CLAN MCINERNEY were checked soon after the start by ROCHDALE LAD on their outer. They settled at the rear never improving during the running. Into the first bend LADY MAUREEN ran outwards checking BENTLEY BEAU and ROCHDALE LAD. BENTLEY BEAU ran on well for second with ROCHDALE LAD near the rear.
Race 7 PETER MCLAY STAKES - C1 - 520 SUMMER SLICK drifted to the rear after the jump never improving. She was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed no injury.
Race 8 GO THE CRUSADERS DASH - C0 - 295 The favourite ANOTHER NOTCH was checked when racing in tight quarters into the first bend but ran on nicely to finish fourth. NO VICES was taken wide in this incident. Soon after MULBERRY MUFFIN was also checked finishing well back. Approaching the home turn CLELAND GOLD was struck by an improving NO VICES with both of these dogs finishing towards the rear.
Race 9 CHALLENGE OPAWA SPRINT - C0 - 295 NURSE RUBY was slow to jump from the boxes running on for fifth. Into the straight the favourite BOTOX BARBIE ran inwards onto ATOZEE losing ground. She finished in sixth placing.
Race 10 BILLS BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C0 - 520 SWEET WINSOME drifted to the rear into the back straight never improving. She was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss.
Race 11 FLAIR STAKES - C1 - 520 EMULATE eased when tighteneed into the first bend. Into the back straight MR JOLES struck the hindquarters of TRENDY OPAWA and fell. He regained his feet and finished the event. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 12 BACK NEXT FRIDAY DASH - C0 - 295 HOMEBUSH VEEJAY and WHIPWHOP MISS tangled into the bend settling at the rear and never improving.
