Judicial report: Weather: Showery Trainer D.Parata admitted a breach of Rule 88.1 o when he Trialled a non reserve dog prior to the first race. He was fined $ 300-00 under Rule 89.1 a.
B.Goldsack was fined $ 20-00 under Rule 89.1 for a breach of Rule 88.1 when allowing a dog to run loose.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned under Rule 38.3 a into comments made by the commentator Mr B.Martin following race 2. The comments were in relation to Trainers B.Cole and L.Ahern and further inquiries will be made into the matter.
CHEEKY BONNIE Required to trial under Rule 81.2 before next starting at a Totalisator meeting.

Race 1	METEOR PRINTERS SPRINT - C1 - 305	STARLIGHT WOODS was scratched due to an injury. The favourite HOMEBUSH BITE turned in the boxes, was very slow away and tailed the field home by several lengths. HOMEBUSH BITE was ordered to undergo a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1 before next starting at a Totalisator meeting. STARLIGHT WOODS B.Melville Rule 64 Suffering from a split webbing and stood down for 21 days to and including 17.05.06.
Race 2	HEADS ROAD VETERINARY - C1/2 - 305	HAMMER MY HEART moved in from the start and checked WINCHESTER MISS who lost ground. WINCHESTER MISS was severely checked on the first turn and dropped back quickly to last and stayed there. One of the favourites ELLABEYOND was checked three times in the race around the bend and dropped back to finish near the rear.
Race 3	MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 305	MARIOS MATE and IRON WOMAN were scratched ex Wanganui on 26.04.06. LIGHTS OFF was scratched due to a seasonal condition. OPAWA HONEY was checked back to last on the first corner and stayed there to the finish. MARIOS MATE Ex Wanganui on 26.04.06 IRON WOMAN Ex Wanganui on 26.04.06 LIGHTS OFF A.Sutton Rule 64.10 In a seasonal condition and stood down for 28 days to and including 24.05.06.
Race 4	TOTAL SPAN WANGANUI - C1/2 - 305	WILD GUNNADOO moved in soon after the start and checked BOY RACER, HOMEBUSH LEGEND and ARANUI JAZZ who settled well back and stayed there. Trainer D.Parata admitted a breach of Rule 88.1 o when it was alleged that he misled the Assistant Steward when questioned about the identity of a Greyhound being trialled prior to race one. He had indicated that the dog was a reserve when in fact it was not an entrant at the meeting. He was fined $ 300-00 under Rule 89.1 a. The presentation of registration papers for reserve dogs trialling will be strictly enforced in the future.
Race 5	THE RADIO WORKS NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #16 HEAT 1 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	SAVIOLA and THRILLING GUS were scratched due to injuries. ACCORD was a late scratching from this event when late arriving due to the cancellation of a ferry crossing from the South Island. TEDDY HALL moved across from the start and crowded MY CHARLSTON and THRILLING PEARL. THRILLING PEARL and MY CHARLSTON were checked and lost ground entering the back straight and the favourite MY CHARLSTON never recovered and finished last while THRILLING PEARL went on to win. SAVIOLA O.Marron Rule 64 Has a toe injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 25.05.06. THRILLING GUS N.Udy Rule 64 Suffering from a muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 07.05.06. ACCORD J.McInerney Rule 64 A late scratching. Failed to arrive in time. No penalty imposed.
Race 6	DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C1/2 - 520	HOMEBUSH GOLIATH and TEE TEE NINTY were the slowest away but they recovered to finish 1st and 2nd. ROYAL TAP and UNO YOU LIKA collided on the first turn and lost a little ground.
Race 7	KEENAN CONCRETE NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #16 HEAT 2 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	THRILLING SASSY was scratched due to an injury. HOMEBUSH COYOTE was a late scratching when late arriving due to the cancellation of a ferry crossing from the South Island. The race was all clear. THRILLING SASSY N.Udy Rule 64 Suffering from a muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 07.05.06. HOMEBUSH COYOTE J.McInerney Rule 64 A late scratching. Failed to arrive in time. No penalty imposed.
Race 8	VITA POWER-EXCEED DISTANCE CHALLENGE CUP - C2d - 755	RUBBLE was a late scratching due to the ferry cancellation. CHEEKY BONNIE pulled up with a circuit to run and took no further part in the race. CHEEKY BONNIE was stood down for 10 days with muscle soreness and acidosis and is required to undergo a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.2 RUBBLE J.McInerney Rule 64 A late scratching. Failed to arrive in time. No penalty imposed. CHEEKY BONNIE D.Schofield Rule 82 Suffering from muscle soreness and acidosis and stood down for 10 days to and including 07.05.06. Required to trial under Rule 81.2..
Race 9	WANGANUI VET SERVICES NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #16 HEAT 3 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	THRILLING TAZ was scratched due to an injury. HOMEBUSH PHIL was a late scratching due to the ferry cancellation. The race was all clear. THRILLING TAZ N.Udy Rule 64 Suffering from a sore neck and stood down for 10 days to and including 07.05.06. HOMEBUSH PHIL J.McInerney Rule 64 A late scratching. Failed to arrive in time. No penalty imposed.
Race 10	WWW.RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #16 HEAT 4 - RESq - 520 Heat 1	CHARLSTON STATE drew box 8 and after being pushed out on the first turn, he raced wide over extra ground throughout and finished close behind the placegetters.
Race 11	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C4/5 - 520	THRILLING SAM was awkwardly placed behind runners on the first bend and was shuffled back to last. He then made ground well for 4th place.
Race 12	MORE FM 92.8 - C5 - 305	JANE DOE, SPECIAL DOONS, VITA LASS and THRILLING MARK jostled together for several strides early in the race and lost ground.
Race 13	DIMOCKS FURNITURE COURT - C3 - 305	All clear.
