Judicial report: Weather: Overcast /then rain. Race 6. Homebush Trendy (R.P.O'Regan) was very difficult to box and has been granted a 'Box First' categorisation for immediate racing.

Race 10. Troubled Times (S.P.Clark) was recorded as being 1.2kg under it's previous race start weight on 23.04.06. A breach of Rule 69.11 was alleged and a charge laid against the Trainer who chose not to admit the breach of this rule and consequently the matter was the subject of a Stewards' Hearing.
Following consideration of all evidence the Adjudicating Steward (K.Coutts) upheld the charge and imposed a fine of $150.00 against S.P.Clark (third offence).

Race 1 STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C0 - 318 Grays Joe was a late scratching on Veterinary advice during pre-kennelling examination. Roys Babe and Karuba Daze were the slowest to begin. Oh If Only galloped on the hind quarters of Tigerish on the first turn with both being severely checked. Karuba Daze raced very wide for most of the race. Grays Joe (F.D.Farmer). Late scratching. Vet unable to conduct thorough pre kennelling examination of near front foot due to greyhound squealing and withdrawal of foot. Examination attempted four times without success. Vet certificate supplied recommending more intense examination under sedation. Rule 82.1. 4 days to and including 30.04.06. Trainer to provide further Vet certificate confirming examination of foot in question prior to nomination to race again.
Race 2 CAROL'S TAB DASH - C1 - 318 Mr Miargi, Lord Maximus and Trendy Jill were slowest to begin. Lord Maximus galloped on the heels of Rochdale Lass after 40 mtrs. Rochdale Lass dropped to the rear of the field after this severe check and showed little improvement to finish 7th. On the bend Homebush Blade moved outwards and came together with Homebush Heather for a stride, this was repeated on entering the home straight.
Race 3 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Tourist Jack and My Rocky were the slowest to begin. Mo'em Down (fav and 5th) and Ash's Assassin came together for a stride entering the first turn with Ash's Assassin being checked. Tourist Jack and Mo'em Down came together for a stride in the home straight.
Race 4 OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C1/2 - 318 King Calibre was the slowest to begin. Rumpole and Homebush Westie came together at the start with both being checked. Camcaff, Marble Nugget and Homebush Westie raced in tight quarters entering the first turn resulting in Homebush Westie dropping back into the path of Bullet Blue with both being severely checked. Bullet Blue raced very wide from the bend to the finish and covered a lot of extra ground in the process.
Race 5 WWW.EXPOSURES.CO.NZ WEBSITE HOSTING DASH - C2 - 318 Jimmitom ran inwards after 40 mtrs and caused severe checks to itself, Ina Tizzy, Loaded Gun (fav and 3rd) and to a lesser extent Sister Saintly. Jimmitom was denied racing room entering the first turn. Ina Tizzy and Sister Saintly came together entering the first turn with Sister Saintly being checked. Jimmitom ran outwards on the home turn and checked itself and Rock It Hound. Hove Dale (A.Cleaver).Skin lacerations to both forelimbs. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 04.05.06.
Race 6 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) LTD STAKES - C1 - 527 Homebush Trendy was observed and reported to be hard to box. Criteria (winner), Booming Time and Homebush Trendy were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Certainly moved inwards to the rail and checked Trendy Time slightly. Booming Time moved outwards in the back straight and carted Thrilling John very wide which ran on strongly for 4th. A post race veterinary examination of Homebush Trendy detected a condition requiring treatment and a 10 day stand down from racing. Thrilling Jay (K.Walsh). Torn tensor fascia lata muscle. Rule 64.12. 20 days to and including 16.05.06. Thrilling Ben (N.Udy). Strained right hind biceps muscle. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days to and including 06.05.05.( Registration papers to be presented to Stewards for endorsement). Homebush Trendy (R.P.O'Regan). Elevated heart rate and occasional coughing. Injected with antibiotics. Rule 82.1. 10 days to and including 06.05.06.
Race 7 NORTHERN DIGITAL PHOTOFINISH DASH - C3 - 318 Sue Van Gill, Kola's Express and Kiwi Fire (winner) were the slowest to begin. Poetical ran inwards at the start causing tightening and severe checks to Leslies Pearl, Movie Man, Junior Time (fav and 5th), Kola's Express and Sue Van Gill. Movie Man and Leslies Pearl jostled for several strides nearing and entering the first turn. Junior Time changed ground outwards in the home straight and was caught up in traffic thereafter.
Race 8 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ DASH - C3/4 - 318 This race was rescheduled to start 2 minutes later at the request of TAB Trackside. Hello Awesome (fav and 7th) and Foreign Diplomat were the slowest to begin. Origin Teddy ran inwards at the start and caused tightening and checks of varying degrees to Foreign Diplomat, Shiraz Vine, Hello Awesome and Danny Hand. Nearing the first turn Shiraz Vine endeavoured to move inwards and in doing so caused tightening and severe checks to itself, Hello Awesome and Danny Hand. Shiraz Vine then became unbalanced and fell causing further severe checks to Hello Awesome and Foreign Diplomat all of which lost their chance and Foreign Diplomat raced very wide thereafter. A post race veterinary examination of Shiraz Vine detected no serious injury but was injected with antibiotic requiring a 3 day stand down from racing. Shiraz Vine (R.P.O'Regan). Injected with antibiotics. Rule 82.1. 3 days to and including 29.04.06.
Race 9 IBLOC PRINT LTD STAKES - C2 - 527 Cawbourne Baron (fav and winner) and Davron Express were the slowest to begin. Suitability ran inwards at the start causing tightening and slight checks to Davron Express, Hopplar and Ritzy Reason. Zambora Kezman and Under Time came together nearing the first turn with both being checked. Davron Express and Ritzy Reason came together entering the first turn with Ritzy Reason being checked and Davron Express running very wide. Massachusetts (G.Calverley). Right hock strain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days to and including 09.05.06.
Race 10 'WE RACE SUNDAY 30 APRIL' DASH - C5 - 318 Kylie's Dilema, Nasty Streak, Don Paulie, Flash Shooter and Comical Ali jostled for several strides after 45 mtrs with all being severely checked. Nearing the first turn Don Paulie, Flash Shooter, Parra Power and Comical Ali jostled with all being severely checked. Nasty Streak ran wide on the home turn.
