Judicial report: Weather: Wet A hearing adjourned at the Christchurch GRC meeting on 04 November 2005 was reconvened at the Manawatu GRC meeting on 20 April 2006. Trainer BRD Cole pleaded guilty to a charge under Rules 134.10 and 135.11 and was fined $250.00.
Trainers T Freeman and P Hammond were fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when TRINITY TRANCE weighed in 1.3kgs over his race weight.
Handler J McCook was charged with a breach of Rule 88.1(p) which was found proven with a fine of $25.00 imposed. He was also ordered to write a letter to the kennel staff apologising for his actions.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C5 - 295 JACK WEBBER was checked on the home turn when ERICKSON BALE came off the rail and collided with him. Both dogs finished beyond midfield. SNOW STORM (JT McInerney) stood down at Auckland GRC meeting on 23 April 2006. Right hock injury. Rule 82.1. 30 days up to and including 22 May 2006.
Race 2 WAR VETERANS STAKES - C3/4 - 520 WHATA DUDE jumped well and was running second until the final stages when he drifted out to finish sixth. A post race veterinary check revealed the dog to have tied up with no stand down recommended
Race 3 KINGSTON & HARDING CUP HEATS 3 MAY SPRINT - C3 - 295 OHOKO FLIRT was first to jump from the boxes, vying for the lead around the bend before being struck by an improving WILD BILL, losing momentum to drift out and finish near the rear. WILD BILL finished strongly in the straight to win.
Race 4 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - C5 - 520 All clear.
Race 5 'LEST WE FORGET' DASH - C5 - 295 RUDI JEWEL drifted to last soon after the jump. He improved around the bend finishing strongly in the straight for second. Around the bend CLASSIC BOOM was checked when handy drifting out to finish fifth.
Race 6 GALLIPOLI SPRINT - C3/4 - 295 Into the bend SING VERA LYNN crossed down in front of WHATA TOWN who struck SING VERA LYNN'S hindquarters, she falling as a result. She regained her feet and finished the event. A post race veterinary check revealed a fractured left wrist resulting in her euthanasia.. A trailing SHIFNAL CHIEF was badly checked finishing at the rear with WHATA TOWN. SING VERA LYNN (A Joyce) fractured left wrist. Rule 82.1. Euthanased on humane grounds.
Race 7 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C3 - 520 Into the first bend ICE LAW, WESTERN SPARK and LOUIS MCDODD tangled losing ground to settle at the rear. They all finished beyond midfield. Turning for home RAILROAD WARRIOR and MUSCOVY came together when in the lead, checking one another allowing HIGH FLYIN TEDDY to finish over them to win.
Race 8 ANZAC MEMORIAL TROPHY - C5 - 520 RUBBLE was checked by improving dogs at the end of the back straight when well back in the field. He finished seventh. ANNA LEE WHISKY jumped well and made the lead into the first bend never being headed thereafter.
Race 9 TRACKSIDE DINING 12 MAY PH 338-6145 DASH - C3/4 - 295 Favourite GLADYS FRIDAY was titghtened badly on the first bend by MISSING FERN and finished a distant last.
Race 10 BACK HERE 3 MAY STAKES - C4 - 520 DALLAS MAJOR was slow to leave the traps and never improved finishing in last placing. UNIQUE MAGGIE was squeezed between dogs into the first bend and lost ground. She ran on again to finish in fifth placing. CLAN ORA (HG Cairns) azoturia. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 28 days up to and including 19 May 2006. SYDNEY HAVOC (WJ Cairns) diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate to be supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 3 May 2006. HOMEBUSH THORN (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with a sore right elbow. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 1 May 2006.
