Race 1 WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE DASH - C3/4 - 375 Velvot Revolver (fav and 4th), Poetical and Rogan Reason came together at the start. Poetical was squeezed outwards and shuffled backwards entering the first turn. Osbourne, Bailed Out and Origin Teddy came together and jostled on the first turn resulting in Osbourne being checked to the rear.
Race 2 TAUWHARE SPRINT - C0 - 375 Gray Way began awkwardly and made contact with Oh If Only. Coruba Jane began awkwardly and made contact with Giggilo Gee Jay and On Angels Wings with this runner racing wide thereafter. Entering the first turn Gray Way made contact with I've Got Mail (fav and 5th) which was checked and twisted sideways. This runner raced unkindly thereafter before stumbling and falling at the lure. A post race veterinary examination detected an injury requiring a 10 day stand down from racing. I've Got Mail (G.Calverley). Mild sprain of 4th metatarso digital joint. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 30.04.06.
Race 3 KARAPIRO DISTANCE - C0d - 630 Ultra Sting was the slowest to begin. Devil In Me and Criteria came together entering the turn at the end of the back straight.
Race 4 MANTANGI MAIDEN - C0 - 457 Thrilling Wink began awkwardly. Cheeky Darky stumbled on the first turn and did not recover finishing last.
Race 5 IMPROVERS DASH - C1 - 375 Best Place slipped and almost fell at the start and did not recover finishing last.
Race 6 WAIKATO RACE PIX DASH - C2 - 375 Shooshla was the slowest to begin. Big Archie and Big Nate Banner (fav and winner) came together for a stride at the start. Bullet Blue and Shooshla raced wide on the bend.
Race 7 TAMAHERE STAKES - C1 - 457 Booming Time and Sable Gold were slow to begin. Autumn Angel stumbled badly at the start, moved outwards as a result and severely checked Plenty Of Dash (fav and 4th). Entering the first turn Plenty Of Dash moved inwards sharply to the rail tightening and severely checking Booming Time in the process. Lord Maximus endeavoured to move inwards after entering the home straight and severely checked itself and Andwyn.
Race 8 ONIDA HEALTH CLINIC SPRINT - C5 - 375 Hypoumunga (fav and 2nd) and Charlston Kid were the slowest to begin with Charlston Kid then being denied racing room on the first turn. Flash Shooter raced wide throughout, covered extra ground and finished 6th.
Race 9 T.A.B. PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C4 - 457 Thrilling Neo moved inwards at the start and caused Ash's Assassin and Winsome State (fav and winner) to be inconvenienced. Entering the first turn minor tightening resulted in slight checks to Hypo Rokocoko, Thrilling Sally and Ridley Reason.
Race 10 TOKOROA STAKES - C2/3 - 457 Stabila Boss, Nadal and Fancy Style were the slowest to begin. Zambora Kezman (fav and 4th) ran inwards entering the first turn and collided with Winsome Guy and Milena Miss which was moving outwards at the same time. All three runners were severely checked. Fancy Style ran very wide on the bend and remained wide thereafter.
