Health and Safety comment: The lure driver had the services of a spotter for a number of the earlier races on the program.

Judicial report: Weather: Fine MERCEDES HOPE (D Kingston) and LIL LEGEND (CJ Tijsen) were each ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial in accordance with Rule 81.1, arising from inquiries into Race 7 at the Christchurch GRC meeting on 24 March 2006.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C4 - 295 ROOK THE RAVEN ran outwards after the jump tightening HOMEBUSH FELLA who lost ground to settle last eventually finishing fifth. Around the bend GLADY'S FRIDAY was checked when vying for the lead coming back on ASTON ACE and JANE'S COMMANDO. The three dogs lost all chance finishing at the rear. Turning for home an improving ROOK THE RAVEN collided with SNOW STORM who lost ground. They finished third and fourth respectively.
Race 2 FITZGERALD ARMS TAVERN MAIDEN DASH FINAL - C0f - 295 BLAZIN A TRAIL was slow to jump before improving wide around the field to finish on in the straight to win well. Into the bend BAGTOWN BOY struck TEN YEARS AFTER both losing ground. Soon after the favourite THRILLING BART checked out off ADIO ROUTINE when vying for the lead, running wide on the track and checking TEN YEARS AFTER and COUGARS CRUIZIN. They filled the last three places with ADIO ROUTINE finishing on for second.
Race 3 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER STAKES - C2 - 520 MICRO LITE was slow to jump settling at the rear finishing seventh.
Race 4 ROBBIES BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C4 - 520 Soon after the jump CLAN ORA, SYDNEY HAVOC and BRILLIANT HAND tangled losing all chance. They filled the last three places. NIRIMBA ASSASSIN (JT McInerney) bruised right gracilus. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Riule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 17 April 2006.
Race 5 $15K PICK SIX LEG ONE - C5 - 295 RUDI JEWEL hit the rail into the bend before moving out and finishing strongly in the straight for third. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. LOCHINVAR RHETT and BONNIE BLINK came together into the bend losing momentum. Turning for home GO PEARL GO improved inside BONNIE BLINK who was turned sideways losing ground to finish last. LOCHINVAR RHETT and GO PEARL GO also finished well back.
Race 6 SHIRLEY T.A.B MAIDEN FINAL - C0f - 520 Into the first bend MR JOLES, SO BIG and KILLER TOUCH came together losing momentum. They finished midfield.
Race 7 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C4/5 - 520 Into the first bend STACEY ALLEN checked out off JARED BRANDON coming in contact with PICNIC DAY. Around the bend and into the back straight the winner TOKEN EGO improved inside ANNA LEE WHISKY colliding with her. She lost ground thereafter to finish well back. PICNIC DAY ran on for third with STACEY ALLEN and JARED BRANDON finishing at the rear. CLASSIC FLYER (R Adcock) left hind toe rupture. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 30 days up to and including 30 April 2006.
Race 8 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY SPRINT - C3 - 295 Into the bend WILD BILL was checked coming back on GARLAND GREEN. WILD BILL recovered well to run on late for fourth with GARLAND GREEN near the rear. Into the home straight HOMEBUSH DOUG tangled with MARILYNS WALK who was forced sideways losing momentum to finish sixth. HOMEBUSH DOUG finished on for third.
Race 9 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - C2/3 - 520 All clear. WHATA YA KNOW (C Mitchell) in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 30 April 2006. PEGLANA EBONY (R Adcock) deceased.
Race 10 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C5 - 295 YENDY'S TITLE was tightened by dogs on her outer soon after the jump. Into the straight she and HOMEBUSH FITZY came together when racing at the rear. They filled the last two placings.
