M.McDonnell the Trainer of HOMEBUSH GORDON. Rule 88.1 Fined $ 50-00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms overweight.
G.Tapiki Fined $ 20-00 under Rule 88.1 o when failing to catch a dog as arranged.

LAUREN AUDER collided with CLAIRE EYES and was checked back to last on the first corner but recovered to run on for 2nd place. DARK SENSATION led early in the race but was galloped on by FANTASY SHIFTER when entering the back straight, dropped back quickly and finished several lengths last. DARK SENSATION was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. | Race 3 | TIME FOR A TUI - C1 - 505 | The favourite SOUTHERN RUSH was galloped on by IZA DANCE on the first bend and checked. SOUTHERN RUSH broke down soon after and pulled up and was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a broken hock. IZA DANCE lost several lengths in the incident and tailed the field home. SOUTHERN RUSH P.Freeman Rule 82 Suffered a fractured hock and was euthanased. |
| Race 4 | MANAWATU DERBY - HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 505 Heat 1 | TOKEN DIAMOND was a late scratching due to kennel cough. The favourite ONLY ONE DADDY collided with REBEL ALLIANCE entering the back straight and they both lost ground. ONLY ONE DADDY appeared to then make contact with the rail on the final bend, lost a little more ground and finished in 4th place. UNO EYES LUCKY ran wide throughout and finished in last place. UNO EYES L.UCKY suffered an internal injury and a fractured rib, possibly when making contact with the lure on pulling up and was euthanased. TOKEN DIAMOND P.Freeman Rule 64.12 A late scratching due to suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 14 days to and including 12.04.06. UNO EYES LUCKY S.Gommans Rule 82 Suffered an internal injury and was euthanased CLAIRE EYES W.Morris Rule 82 Suffered a spike wound and stood down for 7 days to and including 05.04.06. |

Tightening on the first corner resulted in FORTIFIED HOPE being checked and falling.FORTIFIED HOPE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with bruising. Entering the home straight ARANUI GOLD and STRANGER DANGER collided and STRANGER DANGER fell. The dog was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a leg fracture. FORTIFIED HOPE J & J Tapiki Rule 82 Fell and suffered bruising and was stood down for 7 days to and including 05.04.06. STRANGER DANGER B & L Craik Rule 82 Fell and suffered a fractured leg and was euthanased. |

| Race 7 | NZ RACING SERIES FINAL - RESf - 505 | M.McDonnell was fined $ 50-00 for presenting HOMEBUSH GORDON 1.1 kilograms overweight. The favourite DINAH WASHINGTON was slow to begin and was last into the first bend. She then made ground well and finished fast for a close 2nd placing. |
| Race 8 | MANAWATU OAKS - HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 505 Heat 1 | MY LADY PACIFIC and THRILLING WENDY collided on the first corner with THRILLING WENDY almost falling and she tailed the field throughout the remainder of the race. FULL OF FLARE raced to a big early lead but faded badly over the final stages to finish well back. FULL OF FLARE was examined by the vet and found to be suffering from mild acidosis and slight abrasions to a paw and was stood down for 7 days. It was observed that FULL OF FLARE had raced 16 times previous but never over more that a sprint distance this event was over 505 metres.. ANGELICA suffered from a toe injury and was stood down for 28 days. ANGELICA J.Coffey Rule 82 Suffered a toe injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 26.04.06. FULL OF FLARE B & L Craik Rule 82 Suffered from a paw abrasion and mild acidosis and stood down for 7 days to and including 05.04.06. |
