Race 1 MAYS TAKEAWAYS - C1h - 505 ARANUI SPEEDY was handy over the first hurdle but struck the second and dropped back to last and never recovered the lost ground.He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with lacerations to a hind leg ARANUI JOKER led on the first corner but eased up for several strides and dropped back several places. ARANUI JOKER was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b for failing to pursue and is required to trial under Rule 81.1. ARANUI TAMY was in 2nd place at the last hurdle but fell and then got up to finish 4th. She was uninjured. ARANUI SPEEDY M.Boyd Rule 82 Suffered from leg lacerations and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.03.06. ARANUI JOKER M.Boyd Rule 80 .1 b i. Stood down for 28 days to and including 11.04.06 for failing to pursue and required to trial under Rule 81.1 before the next start
Race 2 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C0 - 297 HIGHMOR SURPRISE, JO BLOGGS, CALL ME AWESOME and CALM OSTI jostled together for several strides soon after the start and lost some ground. WESTONAIR was slow to begin. CALM ILLUSION was very slow away and lost several lengths.
Race 3 FOXTON HOTEL - C2 - 297 EXODUS was scratched due to kennel cough. HOMEBUSH MAX was scratched due to injury. BUSTER KEATON was tightened between ROLLEN and MADAM CHOLET on the bend and lost ground. EXODUS M & A Sutton Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 22.03.06. HOMEBUSH MAX C.Clark Rule 64 Suffering from a leg injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 09.04.06
Race 4 COURTESY FORD LEVIN - C4/5 - 297 SUNSET DOLL was scratched due to injury. SAVIOLA was scratched due to injury. THRILLING MARK ran in from the start and checked BIGBAD EDNA, MISTER JAYBEE and BEST TELL PIE who all lost ground. The favourite BIGBAD EDNA was again checked on the first corner, ran wide around the bend and finished last. SUNSET DOLL R.Bannister Rule 64 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 25.03.06. SAVIOLA O.Marron Rule 64 Suffering from an ear injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 23.03.06.
Race 5 MAYS TAKEAWAYS - C1 - 505 BUFFALO SOLDIER was checked entering the back straight, went back and was galloped on and dragged down by HOMEBUSH LUCKY who lost ground. BUFFALO SOLDIER was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 6 PETER SINCLAIR - C1 - 505 ROURKES DRIFT was tightened against the rail on the first turn and lost ground but then recovered to finish in 3rd place. The favourite JEWEL was bumped and forced wide on the first bend covering extra ground and she eventually finished in 4th place. COMANCHE BRAVE suffered a toe injury and was stood down for 28 days. COMANCHE BRAVE B.Melville Rule 82 Suffered a toe injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 11.04.06.
Race 7 COMMITTEE STAKES - C1 - 297 GAZZA'S DELIGHT was scratched due to injury. TAHUNA TEAZER was checked three times in the early and middle stages, dropped back to the rear and finished last. GAZZA'S DELIGHT B.Rangiuia Rule 64 Suffering from a leg injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 09.04.06.
Race 8 CLOVERLEA TAVERN - C2 - 505 OUR JIGSAW was scratched due to kennel cough. MCMURDO was scratched due to injury. GAZZA'S JEWEL was scratched due to kennel cough. The race was all clear. OUR JIGSAW I.Moore Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 14 days to and including 26.03.06. MCMURDO O.Marron Rule 64 Suffering from a cut pad and stood down for 10 days to and including 23.03.06. GAZZA'S JEWEL L.Fornasiere Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 14 days to and including 26.03.06.
Race 9 CHARLES BOYCE VET - C3 - 297 MONDO CANPIONE, HOMEBUSH SNIPPET, BANJO COUNTRY and HOMEBUSH BASMATI jostled together for several strides soon after the start and lost ground. HOMEBUSH SNIPPET and BEST TELL BRIAN collided on the first corner, ran wide around the bend and finished in the last two places.
Race 10 ALBION TAVERN - C3/4 - 505 SEXY ASSASSIN was away well and handy around the first bend but checked off the heels of EXCEPTIONAL KOLA, lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. MANAWA NUI finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and and stood down for 7 days with a claw injury. MANAWA NUI S.Maher Rule 82 Suffered a claw injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.03.06.
