Race 4. Following recent assessments of the 'box first' manners of Raincall (M.K.Kimber) Stewards advised the Trainer that this greyhound is now required to be boxed in it's drawn order effective immediately.

Race 4. Following the running of this race an objection was lodged under Rule 91.2 by Trainer K.Walsh (Thrilling Affair - first reserve) and on behalf of Owner G.E.Harding, in relation to the Auckland GRC selection criteria for 'Maiden Greyhounds' applied to this race and therefore an alleged breach of Rules 46.2 and 46.12. The objection also stated that in the opinion of Ms Walsh and Mr Harding the greyhounds Alassandro, Smokey Toes and Blade Slayer should not have been selected into the field ahead of Thrilling Affair.
The Stewards opened and adjourned an investigation under Rule 38.1 (b).

Race 7. Fantasy Shifter (G & S Hayden-Holmes) was determined to have a 1.2kg underweight variance from it's previous race start and therefore the Trainer was fined $50.00 (first offence) under Rule 69.11.

An investigation by Stewards under Rule 38.1 (b) in relation to alleged abuse by a Licenced Person towards another at the AGRC race meeting held on 26.02.06. is continuing.

| Race 2 | SWISS DELI STAKES - HEAT 1 - C2/3q - 527 Heat 1 | Richfield Reason and Ash's Assassin were the slowest to begin. Indefinite and Homebush Bradley jostled for several strides after the start. Nearing first turn Just The Don (winner) and Homebush Bradley came together for several strides. Fancy Style moved outwards on the first bend and checked Destiny's Run and Ash's Assassin. Richfield Reason was hampered in this incident. |
| Race 3 | SWISS DELI STAKES - HEAT 2 - C2/3q - 527 Heat 1 | Kola's Express, Rialto Reason and Joebees Jet were the slowest to begin. Kola's Express and Rialto Reason came together for a stride at the start with Rialto Reason being checked slightly. Thrilling Neo moved outwards at the start and checked Thrilling Red (fav) slightly. Entering the first turn Thrilling Neo and Kola's Express came together for a stride. Thrilling Red changed ground outwards across the heels of Kola's Express when at the rear on the first bend, lost momentum for a stride before making up ground strongly thereafter to finish 2nd. |
| Race 4 | CAROL'S TABS' MAIDEN STAKES - HEAT 2 - C0q - 527 Heat 1 | Raincall was boxed first due to a current 'hard to box' categorisation and was observed and reported to box without difficulty. This greyhound will now be boxed in it's drawn order effective immediately. Calm Osti, Homebush Eagle and Blade Slayer were the slowest to begin. Thrilling Class (fav and winner) and Raincall came together for a stride at the start with both being checked slightly. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Alassandro, Calm Osti, Smokey Toes, Homebush Eagle and Raincall with Blade Slayer taking evasive action by running very wide. On the first bend Raincall moved outwards and caused checks to itself, Calm Osti and Homebush Eagle. |
| Race 5 | SWISS DELI STAKES - HEAT 3 - C2/3q - 527 Heat 1 | Massachusetts and Hardern Thirst were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Gentle Lee and Sea Drifter came together with both being checked. Pelican Creek moved outwards on the first turn and encouraged Massachusetts and Hardern Thirst to run very wide with Hardern Thirst being checked slightly. On the first bend Pelican Creek and Gentle Lee came together for a stride with Pelican Creek being severely checked. |

Only One Daddy (fav and 4th) changed ground outwards across the heels of Thrilling Burn on the bend and lost 2 lengths. Killer Touch changed ground outwards and clipped the heels of Bright Token entering the back straight. Bigtime Dallas (L.J.Ahern). Lesion on the back. Vet certificate supplied. | Race 7 | SWISS DELI STAKES - HEAT 4 - C2/3q - 527 Heat 1 | Thrilling Match, King Calibre and Winsome Guy were the slowest to begin. On the first turn Winsome Guy moved outwards and tightened King Calibre which also rebounded outwards colliding with and severely checking Thrilling Match. Under Time clipped the heels of and severely checked This Time Boots (fav and 7th) on the first bend. Miss Tonsberg (D.W.Mathews). Rule 82 ex Manawatu GRC on 02.03.06. |
| Race 8 | EIGHT BY TWO SYNDICATE DASH - HEAT 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 | Stranger Danger (fav and 3rd) and Mystic Dancer were the slowest to begin. Homebush Heather and Cheap jostled for several strides after 25 mtrs. Nearing the first turn Nikkei, Cheap and Suitability came together with Homebush Heather and Cheap being severely checked. Cheap galloped on the heels of Mystic Dancer on the home turn when at the rear with both being severely checked. Bigtime Joy (L.J.Ahern). Rule 82 ex Wanganui GRC on 01.03.06. |
| Race 9 | ROOF IMPROVEMENTS LTD STAKES - HEAT 1 - C1q - 527 Heat 1 | This race started 1 minute later than scheduled due to a request from TAB Trackside. Connect and Thrilling Pearl were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Our Freddie moved outwards, clipped the heels of Big Nate Banner and then bumped Thrilling Pear which became unbalanced and fell heavily into the path of Auditor's Folly and Connect which were severely checked. A post race veterinary examination of Thrilling Pearl detected no injury. Music Lesson and Auditor's Folly came together for a stride in the home straight. |
| Race 10 | ROOF IMPROVEMENTS LTD STAKES - HEAT 2 - C1q - 527 Heat 1 | Hot Dickadee and Bassai Dai were the slowest to begin. Bet She Can ran inwards and Aria Allen outwards at the start causing tightening and checks to Emulate and Hot Dickadee. Emulate ran wide on the first turn and showed no improvement thereafter drifting out to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury. The performance was discussed with the Trainer R. Adcock and his comments noted. |

| Race 12 | REASON FINANCE LTD DASH - HEAT 3 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 | Homebush Westie was boxed first and was observed and reported to box without difficulty. Bus Painter reared as the boxes opened and lost 4 lengths. Forever Running and Rumpole came together for a stride after 25 mtrs. Forever Running moved inwards to the rail on the first turn and severely checked Bus Painter and itself with these two runners filling the last two placings. Miss Luck (L.McCook).
