Track: Good Good
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Weather: Overcast The Officiating Veterinary Surgeon was late arriving on-course due to extenuating circumstances resulting in her appointment to attend the race meeting at short notice. The Stewards subsequently discussed these issues with AGRC management and sought assurance that the situation would not reoccur.
***************
Race 1. Following this race Trainer W.Steele (Hypo Carter) expressed concern to the Stewards about the delay he experienced in obtaining veterinary attention for his injured greyhound. The Veterinary Surgeon had been involved in an intense issue regarding another greyhound at the time however Mr Steele's concerns were subsequently discussed with the Veterinary Surgeon and the AGRC.
***************
The Officiating Veterinary Surgeon ( K. Groenewegen) advised the Stewards that she had been spoken to in an offensive manner by Handler Mrs B.Craik whilst she was examining a greyhound at pre-kennelling which Mrs Craik was handling. Following discussion with the Stewards, the Veterinary Surgeon chose not to lay an official complaint against Mrs Craik who subsequently apologised to, and which was accepted by, the Veterinary Surgeon.
Following further discussion between Mrs Craik and the Stewards, Mrs Craik received an Official Warning under Rule 88.1(f) in relation to offensive language used towards the Veterinary Surgeon.
***************
Race 4. Trainer P.B.Freeman (Role Model) was fined $50.00 (first offence) under Rule 69.11 for a 1.2kg underweight variance from the greyhound's previous race start.
***************
Race 6. It was observed by the Stewards that Don Paulie (winner) was again virtually uncontrollable once extracted from the lure at the conclusion of this race including slipping it's collar and becoming loose for a short time. This greyhound's post race manners have been discussed with Handler (S.C.Mann) and Trainer (N.P.Green) on two previous occasions and will be discussed again with Mr Green who was not present at today's race meeting.
***************
Race 8. Prior to commencing the pre race parade Miss Tonsberg being handled by K.Braithwaite became loose and trotted some distance around the track before returning to the parade area. A veterinary examination was ordered in consultation with the Trainer (D.W.Mathews) and the greyhound was declared fit to race. It was reported that the Handler had accidentally tripped and lost control of the greyhound.
***************
As a result of concerns expressed to Stewards by several Licenced Persons, a Stewards Investigation was opened and adjourned under Rule 38.1(b) into an incident following the running of Race 6. The incident relates to alleged verbal abuse by a Licensed Person towards another.
***************
A Stewards Inquiry adjourned on 19.02.06 relating to the correct grading of the greyhound Aztec Keroma (G.E.Harding) was reconvened. As a result of additional information and a written statement received from the Chief Executive, NZGRA, confirming the grading as C3 as at 18.02.06, the Stewards are now satisfied that the matter has been dealt with to their satisfaction and therefore the AGRC has been advised to release the stake money resulting from the greyhound's win on 19.02.06, to G.E.Harding.
