Stipendiary Stewards Report

Waikato Greyhound Racing Club

Cambridge Raceway ON THURSDAY 23 Feb 2006

Weather:
Track: Good Good
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Weather: Fine / windy. Race 4. The photofinish operator and Judge reported that the Photofinish camera did not operate correctly for this race due to the strong and gusty winds at the time blowing the camera out of alignment with the finish line. The video coverage was therefore used by the Judge to determine a visual and correct finishing order for the seven runners and these official placings were endorsed by the Stewards.
*************
Race 7. Trainer S.P.Clark (Tee Ar Tee) was fined $100.00 (second offence) under Rule 69.11 due to a 1.1kg underweight variance from the previous race start
*************
Race 9. Trainer W.Steele (Victory Chant) was fined $50.00 under Rule 69.11 due to a 1.4kg overweight variance from the previous race start in which a weight was recorded being 27.01.06 and not 02.02.06 (Waikato GRC) when no weights were taken due to the scales malfunctioning. When determining penalty, Stewards took into account the fact that the race start on 27.01.06 had not been entered on this greyhound's Race Record Card in error and that this had caused confusion to Mr Steele.
