Race 2. Recent racing performances of the greyhound Boot's Last were discussed with trainer L.Bliek who stated that in her opinion the greyhound may be lacking confidence due to a recent race fall.

Race 6. Trainer N.P.Green was fined $50.00 under Rule 69.11 due to the greyhound Kola's Express being 1.3kg overweight from it's previous race start.

Race 1	'LAST MAN STANDING' DASH - C0 - 318	Raincall was boxed first due to a current 'hard to box' categorisation and was reported and observed to box without difficulty. Malalee was very slow to begin, lost 5 lengths and finished 7th. Delability and On Angels Wings and then Delability and Raincall came together for a stride at the start. Nearing the first turn Malalee came close to contacting the running rail when at the rear and severely checked itself. Shortly after Lady Dot tried to move outwards and checked itself and Augusta Allen. Raincall ran wide on the bend then was hampered slightly entering the home straight before rallying well to finish 4th.
Race 2	STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C0 - 318	Entering the first turn Rowland Reason (fav) was tightened and severely checked before recovering to win well. Grand Master moved outwards on the bend and checked Grays Joe. Watch My Freckle changed ground outwards on the home turn. Zingle ran very wide on the home turn and finished last. Giggilo Gee Jay (S.Blackburn). Haematuria (blood in urine). Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 11.02.06.
Race 3	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C1 - 318	Our Shereena was slow to begin and maintained a wide path before being checked slightly on the bend and finishing last. Just The Don, Bubba Hotep and Colonel Hogan came together for two strides after 25 mtrs with Just The Don being checked slightly. Bubba Hotep changed ground outwards in the home straight finishing 5th.
Race 4	WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ DASH - C1 - 318	Distinctly Roys was the slowest to begin. Mac McLeod (fav and 2nd) and Boot's Last jostled for several strides after the start then MacMcLeod moved in front of Boot's Last and checked itself and Boot's Last slightly. Boot's Last and Distinctly Roys came together four times prior to the first turn with both being checked slightly. Boot's Last then ran very wide on the first turn when at the rear, covered a lot of extra ground and finished last. Awesome Ronnie (D.L.Annette). Right hind sartorius injury. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 13.02.06.
Race 5	CAROL'S TAB DASH - C2 - 318	Jimmitom, Ina Tizzy, Farmer Benson and Hypo Carter were the slowest to begin. Hypo Carter was hampered slightly entering the first turn. Jimmitom and Ina Tizzy came together entering the first turn with both being severely checked. Jimmitom changed ground outwards on the bend when racing at the rear. Shifnal Chief ran very wide on the home turn and fought on well for 3rd.
Race 6	LION FOUNDATION DASH - C3/4 - 318	Rhani Reason and Glenmire came together after 20 mtrs. Romberg Reason and Kola's Express came together after 30 mtrs with Romberg Reason being checked. Little Toot and Romberg Reason changed ground outwards entering the first turn. On the first turn and due to a lack of racing room Little Toot clipped the heels of and severely checked Don Paulie with Little Toot then rebounding outwards and colliding with Rhani Reason which was severely checked and lost all chance. Little Toot then fell heavily into the path of Glenmire which was also severely checked and lost all chance. A post race veterinary examination of Little Toot detected an injury requiring a stand down from racing. Little Toot (K.E.Lomas). Severe sprain to left hind gracilis muscle. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 18.02.06.
Race 7	REASON FINANCE LTD DISTANCE - C0d - 603	Thrilling Match stumbled out of the boxes, lost 7 lengths then made up ground strongly throughout to finish 3rd. Nearing the turn out of the straight Richfield Reason and Freddy Magic (fav and 2nd) came together with Richfield Reason being checked. Freddy Magic then moved outwards and severely checked Raheny Reason and Deniable with Raheny Reason then running wide. Deniable and Raheny Reason came together shortly after on the bend out of the straight with both being severely checked again. Dreams Are Free (M.Elton).Right front sesamoid injury. No Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 03.03.06.
Race 8	OXY-SHOT NEW ZEALAND DASH - C5 - 318	Dyna Ropati and Hostile Arch came together after the start with both being checked slightly. Poetical ran inwards sharply at the start and severely checked itself, Osbourne, Hostile Arch and Dyna Ropati followed by Osbourne then moving outwards and causing checks to itself and Sue Van Gill. Entering the first turn Dyna Ropati moved outwards and severely checked Poetical and Hostile Arch with Osbourne taking evasive action by running very wide. Maxi The Taxi (B & L Craik).Infected toe. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12.02.06. Hypoumunga (B & L Craik). Degloving digital pad injury. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 16.02.06.
Race 9	PUKEKOHE TRAVEL CUP WEEK TOURS STAKES - C3 - 527	Shining Comet and Rivette Reason were the slowest to begin. Thrilling Fella and Holah A Hypo came together for a stride after 15 mtrs with both being checked slightly. Holah A Hypo was denied racing room on the first turn and pushed Ash's Assassin outwards. Rothvale Reason drifted slightly on the first bend.
Race 10	RODEWALD HART BROWN LTD SPRINT FEATURE - C4 - 318	Awesome At Last, Kiwi Fire, Thrilling Delta (fav and 6th) and Mo Mistress were slowest to begin. Gold Strike ran inwards to the rail at the start and checked itself, Tiger Strike, Comical Ali and Parra Power in the process. Nearing the first turn general tightening resulted in checks to Comical Ali, Tiger Strike, Thrilling Delta and Mo Mistress. Thrilling Delta moved outwards entering the first turn and checked Awesome At Last which then ran very wide.
