Scales: Correct at 20kg only.
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Weather: Fine During pre-race meeting checks Stewards determined that the electronic scales were correct at 20kg but malfunctioning at 30kg (00.1kg over) and consequently no weights were taken for this meeting. The Club has advised that the fault will be corrected immediately.

Race 5. Following consideration of the explanation from Handler P.Sutch-Jones a warning was given under Rule 71.2.

Race 8. Prior to this race an Official Complaint was received from P. Henley (Club President) in response to a complaint received by him from a member of the public in relation to an incident which occurred near the entrance to the pathway leading from near the kennel block area to the track. The incident supposedly stemmed from a bottle being broken causing glass fragments to be spread across the area where the greyhounds would normally walk.
The kennel staff proceeded to pick up the glass and sweep the area providing a safe passage for greyhounds and handlers.
As a result of information and concerns received from Mr Henley and bystanders' who witnessed the incident involving a Licenced person and a member of the public, Stewards have opened an inquiry under Rule 38 and requested written statements from those persons allegedly involved and known witnesses.

Trainer, S.Blackburn was reminded of the Dress Code in relation to acceptable footwear when handling / catching greyhounds at race meetings.

Rules 66.4 and 66.5 (Authority to Handle in absence). Trainers / handlers are advised that the requirements / options under the above Rules apply to each individual race meeting with a 'long term authority' no longer acceptable. The 'Statement of Authority' forms referred to under the Rule 66.5 option are available upon request at kennelling.

Race 1 WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE DASH - C3 - 375 Velvot Revolver, Fancy Style and Glenmire were the slowest to begin. General tightening on the first turn resulted in checks to Rhani Reason, Togetherness, Glenmire and Velvot Revolver with Rhani Reason (fav) losing all chance and finishing last. Fancy Style raced wide throughout. Jimmytheone and Kalkaringi came together for a stride on the home turn.
Race 2 SUMMERTIME MAIDEN - C0 - 457 Ultra Sting was slow to begin then made up ground strongly on the rail for 2nd. Mochaccino and Thrilling John came together at the start with both being checked and shortly after Thrilling John and Hot Dickadee did the same. San Shin stumbled shortly after the start resulting in checks to itself and Sun Of Jonelle. San Shin and Alassandro jostled for several strides after 35 mtrs. Sun Of Jonelle and San Shin jostled three times prior to the first turn with San Shin then running wide entering the first turn and remaining very wide throughout to finish last. A post race veterinary examination of San Shin detected an injury requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Thrilling John and Rowland Reason (fav and 3rd) ran wide on the home turn and covered extra ground.
Race 3 FEBRUARY SPRINT - C0 - 375 There was no 'head on' coverage available from TAB Trackside for this race. Bright Token and Giggilo Gee Jay were tightened and checked after the start. Gray Way drifted slightly on the first turn, came back onto Robbed Again which was checked and changed ground outwards. San Shin (P.W.Cleaver). Torn pad left hind foot. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 15.02.06.
Race 4 THOMAS WOOD PHOTOGRAPHY STAKES - C4/5 - 457 Entering the first turn Fancy Bonnie moved inwards took the path of and was galloped on from behind by Kola's Glory and Magical Spell resulting in severe checks to all three runners.Bevron Road and Rogan Reason were also severely checked in this incident.
Race 5 IMPROVERS SPRINT - C1 - 375 This race was rescheduled to start 2 minutes later at the request of TAB Trackside. Foreign Diplomat (fav and 5th) and Spyridon Louis came together for a stride on the home turn. Bubba Hotep (6th) ran wide in the home straight and galloped on the grass verge for a short distance before getting back onto the course proper.
Race 6 RAGLAN DASH - C1/2 - 375 Entering the first turn Boot's Last and Charlston Zoom with both being checked slightly and Awesome Ronnie being hampered as a result. Boot's Last and Charlston Zoom then ran very wide on the bend and covered extra ground, eventually filling the last two placings.
Race 7 IMPROVERS STAKES - C1 - 457 Baltasar was slow to begin. Auditor's Folly moved outwards on the first turn and severely checked Maxine's Beauty which ran on again to finish 4th. Triway ran outwards on the bend and carted Bassai Dai very wide. On the home turn Baltasar moved outwards and clipped the heels of Gentle Lee (fav and 2nd) with both being severely checked.
Race 8 DINSDALE TAVERN DASH - C5 - 375 Charlston Kid was slow to begin. Maxi The Taxi (fav and 7th) and Dyna Ropati came together for a stride at the start with both being checked. Maxi The Taxi then moved outwards and checked itself, Mr Blackout and Spring Storm. Maxi The Taxi was tightened and checked slightly on the first turn. Spring Storm changed ground outwards on the bend and lost ground.
Race 9 RACEWAY STAKES - C1 - 457 Sable Gold was very slow to begin losing 3 lengths and then made up some ground for 5th. Victory Chant (fav and 6th) raced wide throughout. Booming Time ran wide on the home turn and carted Victory Chant wide. Mr Miargi (P.W.Cleaver). Severe Sacro-iliac (coupling joint) pain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 10.02.06.
Race 10 T.A.B PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C2 - 457 Four Square, Tent Top and Thrilling Match were the slowest to begin. Sea Drifter clipped the heels of Thrilling Cullen nearing the first turn with both being checked. Nearing the home turn Thrilling Match galloped on the heels of and checked Miss Tonsberg which then moved outwards as a result.
