Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer RD Blackburn was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when LA NOSEY weighed in 1.1kgs under her last race weight.
Trainer BC Dann was fined a total of $150.00 for three breaches of Rule 69.11 when WHATA BUY (+1.6kgs) KRACKER (+1.1kgs) and WHATA PLAN (+1.1kgs) all weighed outside that permitted by the rule.

| Race 2 | BARRONS SUPPLIES SPRINT - C2 - 295 | JIMMY ALLEN was squeezed soon after the jump, with ROOK THE RAVEN and SILVER CRISIS coming together running wide as a result. These dogs finished midfield. |
| Race 3 | INDEPENDENT CARPETS CRANFORD STAKES - C2/3 - 520 | The favourite SONNY BILL ALLEN was slow to jump. Into the first bend LIL ENERGISER, MUSCOVY and SYDNEY HAVOC came together losing momentum. MUSCOVY ran on late for fourth with the other two near the rear. Into the back straight RAZOR ROBERTSON clipped the hindquarters of FORCEFUL HABIT who fell. He regained his feet and finished the event. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. | Race 4 | KOLORFUL KANVAS DASH - C2 - 295 | AH Lee reported that she had taken over training of HERE'S FREDDIE with the association have been earlier notified. ANGRY'S WISH and RUFF STUFF ran wide around the bend losing ground . They filled the last two places. |
| Race 5 | CONTAINERMAN STAKES - C1 - 520 | Into the first bend TE PIRITA TIGER was clipped by SLAVE DRIVER losing ground and settling a clear last before running on late for sixth. The favourite HOMEBUSH BRADLEY drove to the lead into the first bend to lead all the way. TE PIRITA TIGER was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed no injury. ANGEL OF HARLEM (PJ Norris) bruising and grazing to inside of left hind leg. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.10. 6 days up to and including 31 January 2006. |
| Race 6 | C.T.V. SPRINT - C5 - 295 | Around the bend FOX FIRE, WHATA BUY and AWESOME ASTON came together losing momentum. FOX FIRE ran on late along the rail for third with the other two finishing at the rear. GLITZY OPAL (JT McInerney) right hind old toe injury soreness. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. | Race 7 | EUREKA TRUST NZ OAKS HT.1 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1 | THRILLING LAURA moved away from the rail into the first bend tightening HOMEBUSH LISA. They filled the last two places. The favourite ANNA LEE WHISKY was unable to take up her customary role of pacemaker and was unable catch and pass the leader WAXEYE finishing one and a half lengths in arrears at the winning post. |
| Race 8 | EUREKA TRUST NZ OAKS - HEAT 2 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1 | FUNNY GIRL ran out into the first bend colliding with KIM'S WHISKY before checking out off HOMEBUSH BONNIE'S hindquarters. She settled last running on late for third. HOMEBUSH BONNIE was slow to jump settling last before improving into the first bend. She drifted out to finish last. THRILLING RUBY (AC Roberts) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with left hind tibial soreness. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 2 February 2006. |
| Race 9 | METRO TRUST NZ RACING SERIES HT 1 - RESq - 520 Heat 1 | The favourite THRILLING HUGO and ACCORD were slow to jump. THRILLING HUGO finished fifth with ACCORD seventh. DUCHESS FERN who was midfield early drifted out to finish last. BRUNO DIABLO (GK Barron) left hind sesamoid pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. | Race 10 | METRO TRUST NZ RACING SERIES HT 2 - RESq - 520 Heat 1 | Soon after the jump the favourite PICNIC DAY and TIMELY FLIRT were tightened drifting to the rear. Into the first bend KRACKER struck HOMEBUSH LUKE both losing ground. Into the back straight SCOTTALOT was badly checked by an improving TIMELY FLIRT. KRACKER and SCOTTALOT filled the last two places. PICNIC DAY ran on as usual for second with TIMELY FLIRT and HOMEBUSH LUKE finishing fourth and fifth. |

WHATA PLAN ran on for third with LIGHT POCKETS midfield. Into the back straight TRINITY TONKA and GO PEARL GO were tightened sustaining a severe check filling the last two places. |
