The favourite AWESOME MYSTERY was jostled between runners early in the race and settled last. He then made ground but faltered on the bend and eventually finished a long last. He was examined by the Vet, found to have a fractured hock and was euthanased. MORE GOLD and BOSSY ACE collided on the bend, lost several lengths and all chance and finished at the rear.
