PITCAIRN ACE began a little awkwardly and also settled well back and stayed there. WOODSTOCK PRINCE C.French Rule 259 Sore thigh muscle and stood down for 10 days to and including 01.01.06.
Race 2	WANGANUI SECURITY DASH - C0 - 305	ROB ROY was scratched ex Wanganui on 23.12.05. ROMANTIC REALM was scratched due to injury. CONWAY KID was scratched due to injury. SEXY DELIGHT was scratched ex Manawatu on 22.12.05. LIKENALE and MCTAGGART collided on the home turn and lost momentum for a couple of strides. ROB ROY Ex Wanganui on 23.12.05. ROMANTIC REALM A.Duganzich Rule 259 Suffering from hock strain and was stood down for 30 days to and including 24.01.06. SEXY DELIGHT Ex Manawatu on 22.12.05. CONWAY KID P.Taylor Rule 259 Suffering from soreness in a shoulder and stood down for 10 days to and including 04.01.06.
Race 3	EXCEED STAKES - C0 - 520	THRILLING SHADOW raced onto the heels of another runner on the first corner and ran wide on the bend, eventually finishing well back.
Race 4	BOXING DAY SPRINT - C0 - 305	SEXY BEAST and HOOKER BEAR collided on the bend, dropped back through the field and finished in the last two places.
Race 5	WANGANUI CHRONICLE DASH - C4/5 - 305	BIGTIME JENNY was a Club scratching when placed in the wrong distance race. The winner DAYLIGHT SLOY moved in on the first corner and checked BEST TELL PIE and SUNSET DOLL who both lost ground. TIMTAGEL STAR, TRISTAN FLEX and BLACK ALLEGRO jostled together for several strides on the first corner and ILLEGITIMATE was pushed wide in the incident and they lost all chance of a placing in the incident. Race 6	HEADS ROAD VETERINARY '520' - C1 - 520	GIVEN TITLE was checked and fell with a circuit to run. he was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. COCKNEY ASSASSIN, MADAME RHODE and COMANCHE BRAVE collided on the first corner, lost ground and eventually filled the last three places.
Race 7	KEENAN CONCRETE '305' - C1 - 305	TARTARE SAUCE galloped onto the heels of MAGIC EBONY on the first corner and they both lost ground and finished in the last two places.
Race 8	DISPLAY ASSOCIATES SPRINT - C3 - 305	ROLE MODEL galloped onto the heels of RUSHED AFFAIR on the first corner, almost fell and lost all chance of a placing
Race 9	RADIO WORKS STAKES - C1/2 - 520	SMILER and ASTRAKHAN bumped together soon after the start and then again on the first bend. SMILER also collided with SEXY ASSASSIN on the first corner and was last down the back straight and finished well back.
Race 10	STEEL STRUCTURES '305' - C1 - 305	OLD ELLA was one of the slowest away and then jostled with BAGRIZZNIX BOY for several strides on the bend and they finished in the last two places.
Race 11	RUSH HIRE DASH - C2 - 305	This race was started 3 minutes late at the request of Raceday Control. ROLLEN was checked back to last on the first corner and finished well back towards the rear.
