Race 1 XMAS IS COMING - C1 - 505 OUR JIGSAW checked off the heels of COMANCHE BRAVE on the first bend and lost a little ground.
Race 2 COURTESY FORD LEVIN - C0 - 297 YULE TIDE and SECRET SURPRISE fell on the bend and were examined by the Vet with YULE TIDE cleared and SECRET SURPRISE stood down for 14 days with a gracilus injury. The lure slowed approaching the home straight and was caught by the front runners. This resulted in the race being abandoned. The lure had been slipping on the wire rope and the problem was rectified and the next race started on time. It was also observed that the box lids on the inside were not held down in position correctly and this problem was also rectified. SECRET SURPRISE B.Chesterfield Rule 329 Fell and suffered a gracilus injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 29.12.05.
Race 3 MAY'S TAKEAWAYS EKETAHUNA - C0 - 505 NOOKYS WINK was a late scratching due to a communication breakdown. NIAGARA CRESENT led early but was checked on the first corner, moved out and checked LONDON BOBBY and TYCOON LIL who were pushed wide and finished well back. NOOKYS WINK S.Maher Rule 258 (3) In Season and stood down for 30 days to and including 13.01.06.
Race 4 PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOGRAPHER - C1 - 505 FLASH WINK and ROURKES DRIFT ran wide on the first corner and covered extra ground. MCTAGGART and JEFFIES FELLA collided on the first bend and lost several lengths and all chance of a placing.
Race 5 COMMITTEE STAKES - C1 - 297 RAVEN LOU was scratched due to injury. BANKSIDE GO GO checked off the heels of BUFFALO SOLDIER on the first corner, moved out and pushed ARANUI FLASH wide on the track and they lost several lengths and all chance. RAVEN LOU I Moore Rule 259 Suffering from muscle soreness and was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.12.05.
Race 6 CLOVERLEA TAVERN - C1 - 297 LEGAL EDITION was scratched due to injury. MR BIG HEAD was checked and fell soon after entering the home straight. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with bruising LEGAL EDITION L.Fornasiere Rule 259 Has a toe injury and was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.12.05. MR BIG HEAD M.Goodwin Rule 329 Fell and suffered bruising and stood down for 7 days to and including 22.12.05.
Race 7 CHARLES BOYCE VETERINARIAN - C1 - 297 OLD ELLA was scratched due to injury. BIGTIME NIPPA was slow to begin and lost 3 lengths. NITE HAWK LADY made contact with the rail on the first corner, went back quickly and caused a check to BOY RACER. BIGTIME NIPPA and BIGTIME SARAH collided on the home turn and lost momentum for a couple of strides. OLD ELLA B.Cole Rule 259 Suffering from a bicep injury and was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.12.05.
Race 8 ALBION TAVERN - C2 - 297 TARTARE SAUCE and ARANUI TAMY collided soon after crossing the finish line and TARTARE SAUCE fell but was uninjured.
Race 9 MANAWATU SOUND SERVICE - C2/3 - 505 WEE AMY LEIGH was scratched ex Wellington on 14.12.05. The favourite BIGTIME JIM was a little slow away and was then checked on the first corner when making contact with HOMEBUSH MAX and they were the last two to finish. WEE AMY LEIGH Ex Wellington on 14.12.05.
Race 10 CARETAKERS SPRINT - C5 - 297 SHELLSAL was checked on the first corner, moved out and bumped TEDDY HALL and they ran wide losing ground and they finished well back.
Race 11 HAERE RA - C3/4 - 297 CRUZMORE was scratched due to injury. The race was all clear. CRUZMORE I.Moore Rule 259 Suffering from muscle soreness and was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.12.05.
Race 12 HAERE RA - C3/4 - 297 SAILAH JAYNE was scratched due to injury. The was all clear. SAILAH JAYNE M.Gardner Rule 259 Shoulder injury and was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 21.12.05.
