Judicial report: Weather: Fine Race 10. Thrilling Hubba (K.Walsh). Following two recent assessments in relation to 'boxing manners' this greyhound has now been approved in the 'hard to box' category and will be boxed first until further notice.

Race 1	WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE DASH - C4 - 375	Faraday Bale (fav) was slow out and immediately appeared to falter and was always a distant last. A post race veterinary examination detected injury resulting in euthanasia. Awesome At Last and Sue Van Gill came together after 40 mtrs with both being slightly checked. Sue Van Gill was tightened and checked on the first turn. Awesome At Last ran outwards off the rail on the bend and checked Christopher Bale. Nearing the home turn Awesome At Last moved outwards and checked Christopher Bale again. A post race veterinary examination of Awesome At Last detected an injury requiring a 5 day stand down from racing. Corston Flyer ran very wide on the home turn when leading, lost valuable ground by doing so and faded in the run home to finish 4th. Awesome At Last (J.B.Hastie). Left shoulder soreness. Rule 329. 5 days up to and including 19.12.05. Faraday Bale (G.N.Pomeroy). Left hock strain. Euthanased.
Race 2	CLUB HOUSE CAFE & SPORTSBAR STAKES - C2 - 457	Gentle Lee reared as the boxes opened, lost several lengths, raced up quickly to midfield but failed to run on thereafter finishing 7th. Under Time and Four Square came together for a stride nearing the first turn with both being slightly checked. On the bend Four Square clipped the heels of and checked Gentle Lee. Last Account and Four Square came together for several strides nearing the home turn.
Race 3	LEAMINGTON SPRINT - C3 - 375	World Bank (fav) began awkwardly, lost momentum then stayed very wide throughout the race before running on for 4th. Hove Dale and Movie Man came together nearing the first turn with both being checked. Just Hasty was tightened and checked on the first turn.
Race 4	GRANDVIEW SPORTS BAR STAKES - C2 - 457	Joebees Jet and Thrilling Dash were slow to begin. Ritzy Reason and King Calibre came together after the start with both being checked. Joebees Jet and Thrilling Dash jostled for position nearing the first turn resulting in checks to both runners and Joebees Jet losing 2 lengths.
Race 5	TAMAHERE SPRINT - C2 - 375	General tightening shortly after the start resulted in severe checks to all runners with the exception of Candy Coated (3rd) and Homebush Mikey (winner). Hello Awesome (fav) moved outwards entering the first turn severely checking itself and Coruba Sun. Bullet Blue raced very wide for most of the race and finished last. Charlston Flash and Hello Awesome came together for two strides on the home turn. High Fever (F.D.Farmer). Serious muscle injury. Deceased.
Race 6	BACK HERE XMAS EVE STAKES - C3 - 457	Ash's Assassin, Thrilling Tiger (fav), Stinger Bart and Hopplar were the slowest to begin. General tightening entering the first turn hampered Charlston Kid, Scottalot, Nirimba Assassin and Thrilling Tiger with Scottalot being severely checked and drifting out to last which is where it finished. Nirimba Assassin (4th) moved outwards across the heels of Kaimai Gold on the bend and lost 2 lengths. Virtuoso (P.W.Cleaver). Deep tear to right gluteal muscle and injected with Voren AP. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 7 days up to and including 19.12.05.
Race 7	FOND FOODS WAIKATO CUP - INV - 457	Winsome Gem (3rd) and Rubble (4th) came together after 60 mtrs with both being severely checked. Willy What drifted to the rear prior to the first turn, appeared to be injured and was always a distant last thereafter. A post race veterinary examination detected an injury requiring 14 day stand down from racing. Nearing the first turn general tightening resulted in checks to and lack of racing room for My Charlston (6th), Big Sam Junior (fav and 2nd), Charlston Ghost (5th) and Bevron Road (7th). Rubble was forced wide and over extra ground as a result of this incident. Willy What (J & D Fahey). Soreness in left gracilis muscle / probable tear. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 28.12.05.
Race 8	CAMBRIDGE SPRINT - C4/5 - 375	Flash Shooter was the slowest to begin. Dyna Ropati (5th) moved outwards entering the first turn resulting in checks to More Gold (6th) and Flash Shooter (3rd). Stooge and Maxi The Taxi (fav and last) raced wide throughout and finished in the last two placings. A post race veterinary examination of Maxi The Taxi detected no injury. Aston Superstar (J.T.McInerney). Left hind toe dislocated / fractured and compound infected. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 28 days up to and including 10.01.06.
Race 9	DINSDALE TAVERN STAKES - C4/5 - 457	Hypoumunga (3rd), He's Off (fav and 7th), Charlston State (5th) and Siesmic (8th) were the slowest to begin. Raheny Reason (winner) moved inwards after 45 mtrs causing tightening and checks to Charlston State, He's Off and Hypoumunga. A post race veterinary examination of He's Off detected no injury.
Race 10	T A B PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C4 - 457	Thrilling Hubba (winner) was reported and observed to be 'hard to box'. Romberg Reason and Thrilling Hugo(fav and 2nd) were the slowest to begin. Romberg Reason drifted to last prior to the first turn and never improved finishing a distant last. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected injury requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Greatwhite (4th) and Peglana Ebony (5th) came together for a stride entering the first turn with both being slightly checked. Romberg Reason (B & L Craik). Left hock strain. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 28.12.05. (Registration papers to be presented to Stipendiary Steward for endorsement).
