Race 2 | 'BON VOYAGE LISA' STAKES - C1 - 527 | FRIENDLY VIRUS, COSMIC ECLIPSE and AUDITOR'S FOLLY tangled around the first bend losing momentum. They finished towards the rear. Into the first bend FOLLOW THE TREND ran out taking RICHFIELD REASON wide on the track. RICHFIELD REASON ran on late for fourth with FOLLOW THE TREND last. |

Race 4 | NORTHERN DIGITAL PHOTOFINISH DASH - C2 - 318 | FARMER BENSON was slow to jump settling last before running on for fourth. Into the bend DAVRON LASS and JUST CURLY were checked when vying for the lead with the eventual winner RISHONA BALE. DAVRON LASS came back on the favourite BULLET BLUE with JUST CURLY coming back on SPYRIDON LOUIS. These four lost all chance filling the last four places. RISHONA BALE was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a right hip support injury with a ten day stand down recommended. RISHONA BALE (GN Pomeroy) right hip support injury. Rule 329. 10 days up to and including 17 December 2005. |
Race 5 | CHEMICAL RESOURCES STAKES - C1 - 527 | The favourite UNDER TIME was very slow to jump settling a clear last before improving wide around the field to get up and win. Into the first bend SHANTI ran outwards checking WHATA CHARM, ROCKWELL REASON and COLONEL HOGAN. They finished at the rear. |
Race 6 | COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DASH - C2/3 - 318 | Into the first bend FOREIGN DIPLOMAT and LESLIES PEARL came down on JACK RHODE who fell. Turning for home RHANI REASON ran out into the path of VELVET REVOLVER who fell. Both he and JACK RHODE regained their feet and finished the event. They were subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed no injury to either dog. |
Race 7 | THE ALAMO STAKES - C2/3 - 527 | KINDA DEVLISH, STINGER BART, THRILLING GUY and SHOOSHLA tangled into the first bend losing ground. KINDA DEVLISH and STINGER BART ran on for second and third with the other two finishing near the rear. Down the back straight SHOOSHLA faultered and drifted through the field to finish a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed a right hind hock strain with a fourteen day stand down recommended. SHOOSHLA (SP Clark) right hind hock sprain. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 21 December 2005. |
Race 8 | MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C4/5 - 318 | Power to the course failed just prior to the start of this race. It was established that a car had struck and power pole and enquiries with the power authorities revealed that repairs were likely to take two hours. Consideration had to be given to the dogs remaining in the kennels in darkness for health and satefy reasons as well as handlers and kennel staff. Asa result of the repair estimate given a decision was made by the club committee to abandon the balance of the race programme. |
