Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Race 1. Trainer A.Cleaver (Colonel Hogan) was warned under NZGRA Rule 262 for reporting late to undertake pre race procedures.

Race 1 WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE STAKES - C1 - 457 Thrilling Zoe was very slow to begin, stayed back on rail, then ran on strongly in the home straight for 6th. Super Deal (3rd) and Last Account (4th) were denied racing room near the finishing line with Last Account being slightly checked. A post race veterinary examination of Thrilling Zoe detected an injury requiring a stand down from racing. Thrilling Zoe (K.Walsh). Sore left metacarpals. Rule 329. 5 days up to and including 21.11.05.
Race 2 TAMAHERE DASH - C1 - 375 Baltasar, Miss MacSteele and Thrilling Sally were the slowest to begin. Hypo Lomu (3rd) and Just Awesome (4th) jostled for several strides entering the first turn resulting in checks to both runners, Miss MacSteele and Thrilling Sally. Baltasar ran outwards off the rail nearing the home turn which forced Thrilling Sally wide and both runners to cover extra ground. Nikkei (R.A.McPhee). Seasonal condition. No vet certificate supplied. Rule 258.3. 30 days up to and including 14.12.05. (Registration papers to be presented to Stipendiary Steward for endorsement). Camcaff (B & L Craik). Late scratching. Abdominal discomfort and diarrhoea. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 26.11.05.
Race 3 GRANDVIEW SPORTS BAR STAKES - C1 - 457 Booming Time (5th) was the slowest to begin. Rockwell Reason and Thrilling Ted (2nd) came together after the start with both being checked. Entering the first turn Ritzy Reason (6th) clipped the heels of Booming Time with both being checked.
Race 4 LEAMINGTON SPRINT - C3 - 375 Velvot Revolver (4th) was the slowest to begin, made up ground strongly before being checked slightly on the home turn when racing in tight quarters. Just Hasty (5th) moved outwards on the first turn and checked Ballibeast.
Race 5 NOVICE STAKES - HEAT 1 - C2q - 457 Heat 1 Winsome Rush, Kola's Glory (3rd) and Sea Drifter drifted soon after the start.
Race 6 DINSDALE TAVERN SPRINT - C4/5 - 375 This race started 2 minutes later than the scheduled time due to a delay to the start of the previous harness race. Faraday Bale was the slowest to begin. Jessta Larrikin ran outwards at the start and collided with Hostile Arch resulting in Jessta Larrikin being severely checked.
Race 7 TAYLOR STREET DASH - C1/2 - 375 This race was rescheduled by TAB Trackside to start 2 minutes later than the advertised time. Nadal and Charlston Deal were the slowest to begin with neither showing any improvement finishing 8th and 7th respectively. Togetherness and Red Pareora came together for a stride after the start. Coruba Rush ran out on the home turn, lost 2 lengths and then rallied well to finish 3rd.
Race 8 RACEWAY STAKES - C5 - 457 My Rocky (4th) was slow to begin. He's Off (2nd) ran inwards after the start and checked Bevron Road and Raheny Reason with both dropping back as a result. Raheny Reason ran out on the home turn when at the rear Big Sam Junior (favourite and 7th) was cut off and tightened after 80 mtrs, moved outwards, clipped the heels of Spring Storm (6th) then dropped back quickly to last and was always at the rear thereafter. A post race veterinary examination of Big Sam Junior detected no injury. A post race veterinary examination of Magical Spell revealed an injury requiring a stand down from racing. Magical Spell (D.van Meeuwen). Laceration to left hind metatarsus skin with bruising to the extensor tendons. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 30.11.05.
Race 9 NOVICE STAKES - HEAT 2 - C2q - 457 Heat 1 Winsome State (favourite and winner) and Thrilling Dash (4th) were the slowest to begin. Whata Charm drifted soon after the start and then changed ground nearing the first turn finishing 6th. Tent Top (D.W.Mathews). Sore lateral triceps and injected. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 8 days up to and including 24.11.05.
Race 10 TAB PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE STAKES - C3/4 - 457 Thrilling Tear (favourite and winner) and Charlston Kid (8th) were the slowest to begin. Krackem drifted after the start then ran on strongly for 3rd. Rivette Reason ran outwards and then inwards shortly after the start causing checks to Kalkaringi (6th), Krackem (3rd - ran on strongly), Thrilling Tiger (4th) and Thrilling Tear. Thrilling Tear and Charlston Kid jostled for several strides after 50 mtrs. Entering the first turn Charlston Kid was tightened, checked and made brief contact with the running rail. Romberg Reason (2nd) appeared to shorten stride nearing the finish line and was distressed at the conclusion of the race. A post race veterinary examination revealed a condition requiring a stand down from racing. Romberg Reason (B & L Craik). Exhausted post race and treated. Rule 329. 8 days up to and including 24.11.05.
