Judicial report: Weather: Fine A AGRC Judicial Committee Hearing opened and adjourned on 30.10.05 into the scratching of 'Tourist Jack' (R.P.O' Regan) from Race 3 at the race meeting held on 30.10.05. is to reconvene on Sunday 13.11.05 with charges now having been laid due to alleged breaches of NZGRA Rules 226 and 256 (a).

A AGRC Judicial Committee Hearing was reconvened on 01.11.05 in relation to a charge resulting from an Official Complaint by Mr S.C.Mann against Mrs B. Craik. The decision of the Committee was to uphold the charge and impose a fine of $450.00 and $50.00 costs.

A AGRC Judicial Committee Hearing was reconvened today in relation to a charge resulting from an Official Complaint by Mrs G. Farrell against Mr S.C.Mann. Following the hearing of evidence from all parties, the Chairman (Mr E. Doherty) adjourned the Hearing until 4pm on 20.11.05 in order to provide Mr Mann with the opportunity to take advice and make submissions as to penalty.

An application for review of penalty under NZGRA Rule 257.1 was received from the new registered owners of the greyhound 'Tourist Jack'. The scratching of this greyhound from the AGRC race meeting on 30.10.05 is currently the subject of a AGRC Judicial Committee Hearing to be reconvened on 13.11.05. The correspondence has been referred to the Committee for consideration.

Race 1 STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - C0 - 527 Raincall, Fortified Hope and Watch My Freckle were the slowest to begin. Raincall moved outwards on the first turn and checked Watch My Freckle. Hey Zeus ran outwards on the first bend resulting in hampering and a severe check to Aranui Flash. Nearing the back straight Raincall moved outwards and severely checked Watch My Freckle. A post race veterinary examination of Watch My Freckle detected no injury. Dreams Are Free (M.Elton). Bruised front toe. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 14.11.05.
Race 2 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C4 - 318 Marissa Bale was slow to begin. Nearing the first turn Marissa Bale ran outwards and collided with Christopher Bale resulting in severe checks to both runners. Parra Power raced very wide on the home turn, lost ground and then rallied well to finish a close second.
Race 3 MANUKAU DISTANCE - C1d - 603 This race started 2 minutes late due to a request from TAB Trackside. Under Time was slow to begin. Entering the first turn Thrilling Larisa was tightened and severely checked. Shooshla was hampered slightly for several strides in the back straight.
Race 4 COCA COLA DASH - C0 - 318 Bullet Blue and Roys Babe were slow to begin. Ritzy Reason and Oh If Only suffered slight checks after 40 mtrs. Nearing the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Ritzy Reason, Andwyn, Oh If Only and Roys Babe. On the first turn Oh If Only was galloped on from behind by Roys Babe with both suffering severe checks and losing all chance. On the bend Bullet Blue ran outwards sharply and collided with Andwyn resulting in severe checks to both runners. Bullet Blue raced very wide for most of the race.
Race 5 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DASH - C0 - 318 This race started 2 minutes late due to a request from TAB Trackside. Distinctly Roys was slow to begin. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to all runners with the exception of Distinctly Roys. Distinctly Roys galloped on the hind quarters of Awesome Ronnie on the bend with both being severely checked. Alassandro ran wide on the first turn and then moved inwards in the home straight severely checking Awesome Ronnie. Zingle (J & l Nixon). Late scratching. Seasonal condition. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 258.3. 30 days up to and including 07.12.05.
Race 6 NZ CUP WEEK STAKES - C2 - 527 Kola's Glory and Just The Don were slow to begin. After entering the home straight Den Of Fire galloped on the heels of Friendly Virus which was severely checked. Candy Coated (B & L Craik). Late scratching. Fractured tail in transit to track. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 17.11.05.
Race 7 RADIO TRACKSIDE DASH - C1 - 318 Current Power, Dr Dal Santo and Miss MacSteele were the slowest to begin. Camcaff and Just Awesome came together for a stride after 30 mtrs. Shortly after general jostling involving several runners continued until the first turn when tightening resulted in severe checks to Airfield Fog, Current Power, Camcaff and Just Awesome. Dr Dal Santo ran very wide on the first turn. On the home turn Dr Dal Santo faltered, appeared injured and completed the race. A post race veterinary examination of this runner revealed injuries resulting in euthanasia. Dr Dal Santo (R.P.O'Regan). Fractured right hock. Euthanased.
Race 8 CAROL'S TAB DASH - C1 - 318 Bubba Hotep was the slowest to begin. Kath and Jimmitom came together after 20 mtrs with both being slightly checked. Shortly after the same two runners came together with Bonified resulting in all three being severely checked. Entering the first turn Just Curly ran inwards sharply severely checking itself, Impasse and Mystery Solved. On the first turn Mystery Solved moved outwards forcing Impasse, Just Curly and Bubba Hotep wide and to cover extra ground.
Race 9 SUDSARELLA LAUNDRY STAKES - C1 - 527 This race started 1 minute late due to a request from TAB Trackside. El Paso Princess, Last Account and Richfield Reason were the slowest to begin. Last Account was checked on the first turn.
Race 10 'SEE YOU SUNDAY 13 NOVEMBER' DASH - C2/3 - 318 OriginTeddy, Goldfinger Jewel and Mister Howley were the slowest to begin. Just Hasty was tightened and checked on the first turn.
