Judicial report: Weather: Fine A Non- tote race over 318 mtrs was conducted and won by Not Waiting (L.Jensen) in a time of 18.80sec. Winning margin Short head.

Race 1. Cowboy Dreamer (K.W.Symes) was determined to be 1.9 kg overweight from it's previous race start resulting in the greyhound being late scratched under Rule 269.3 and a mandatory $100 fine imposed on the trainer. This summary fine (Rule 103.2) was accepted by the Trainer's representative / handler on-course, Mr C.Symes.

Race 4. Bevron Road (S.C.Mann). Nomination /selection error. Mr Mann was questioned regarding this matter at the Waikato GRC held on 13.10.05 and his explanation forwarded to the NZGRA for consideration.

Race 4. Waitaha Rua (E.J.Bright). Rule 322.1 (b) failing to pursue the lure. No injury detected. A suspension of one month imposed under Rule 322.2(a) up to and including 16.11.05 in addition to a Satisfactory Trial required under Rule 179.1 prior to nomination.
The above charges were accepted by the Trainer's representative on-course, D.W.Mathews following the review of race video coverage.

Race 5. Osti's Crown (I.A.Cole). Rule 179.1 Satisfactory Trial imposed due to the race performance of this greyhound and no injury detected.

Race 11. Following this race the Stipendiary Steward received an official complaint from Mr J.Mason (Officiating Veterinary Surgeon) as result of alleged remarks to him by Mrs K.O'Regan after the running of the race.
The Stipendiary Steward also received an official complaint from Mr S.C.Mann (Trainer) as a result of alleged remarks to him by Mrs B.Craik (Handler) in the catching area after the running of the race.
These complaints were considered to be of a serious nature and consequently charges were brought before the Auckland GRC Judicial Committee (Mr B.McGhie) as follows:
Charges under Rules 130.1 and 130.2 were preferred against Mrs K.O'Regan and a charge under Rule 130.1 preferred against Mrs B.Craik.
Both Judicial Committee Hearings were subsequently opened and adjourned until a date and time to be set and advised

Race 1 STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - C0 - 527 Richfield Reason was slow to begin. Maggy Jay and Raincall came together for a stride after the start. Entering the first turn Coruba Sun moved inwards to the rail causing severe checks to itself, Fortified Hope, Lauren Auder, Maggy Jay, Raincall and a slight check to Richfield Reason (winner). Fortified Hope almost fell in this incident and underwent a post race veterinary examination which detected no injury. Cowboy Dreamer (K.W.Symes). Late scratching. Rule 269.3. 1.9kg weight variance compared to previous race start. No stand down penalty..
Race 2 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C1 - 527 Goodrem and Shellsal were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Little Pressy, Rockwell Reason and Charmaine Bale were tightened and severely checked. Entering the back straight Deniable moved outwards off the rail and lost ground in the process. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected an injury requiring a stand down from racing. Never Home (T.McGillivray). Rule 329 ex Waikato GRC held on 13.10.05. Deniable (B & L Craik). Cervico-thoracic pain and neck and shoulder pain. Rule 329. 7 days up to and including 22.10.05.
Race 3 NORTHERN DIGITAL PHOTOFINISH DASH - C1 - 318 Dr Dal Santo and Thrilling Tiger came together for a stride after the start with Dr Dal Santo being checked. Miss Livewire and Dr Dal Santo came together for a stride after 50 mtrs. Nearing the first turn Miss Livewire ran inwards and almost made contact with the running rail and checked itself in order to avoid doing so. Entering the first turn Rumpole moved inwards sharply and severely checked Our Shereena and Dr Dal Santo. Just Hasty raced wide throughout the race and fought on well to win.
Race 4 MANUKAU R/A DOGS STAKES - R/A - 527 Buddy Hand and Kaimai Gold came together for a stride after the start. Waitaha Rua was slow to begin, ran very wide on the first turn, dropped back to last and made no effort to improve before running wide into the home straight and finishing a distant last. A post race veterinary examination detected no injury and consequently a charge under Rule 322.1(b)( failing to pursue the lure) was accepted by the Trainer's representative on-course D.W.Mathews following the reviewing of video coverage of the race. (refer Judicial) Bevron Road (S.C.Mann). Nomination / selection error. Referred to NZGRA. Waitaha Rua (E.J.Bright). Rule 322.1 (b) failing to pursue the lure. Suspended for one month under Rule 322.2 (a) up to and including 16.11.05 and also complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 179.1 prior to nomination to race.
Race 5 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING STAKES - C1 - 527 Osti's Crown, Destiny's Run and Iza Dance were the slowest to begin. Entering the back straight Thrilling Cullen appeared to make contact with the running rail and severely checked itself. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury. Osti's Crown was always at the rear and drifted badly in the back straight and on the final bend to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury and as a consequence has been ordered to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 179.1 prior to nomination. Race 6 JIMBO'S PETFOOD DASH - C1/2 - 318 Velvot Revolver and Jimmitom were the slowest to begin. Hang On Mate jumped awkwardly. Shortly after the start jostling resulted in checks to Jimmitom, Velvot Revolver and Hang On Mate. Nearing the first turn Velvot Revolver ran inwards sharply and made contact with the running rail, rebounded off and severely checked itself and Hang On Mate. A post race veterinary examination of Velvot Revolver detected no injury. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Miamigo, Jimmitom, Camcaff and Lindale Express causing the latter runner to run wide and lose all chance. Jimmitom moved outwards nearing the home turn and clipped the heels of Camcaff. Thrilling Mike (K.Walsh).Gluteal soreness left and right sides on palpation. Referral back pain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 24.10.05.
Race 7 CAROL'S TAB STAKES - C2 - 527 Frosty's Special and Kola's Glory were the slowest to begin. Thrilling Fella and Kola's Glory came together for a stride shortly after the start. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Forever Running, Cosmic Eclipse, Miss Another and Kola's Glory. On the first bend Cosmic Eclipse moved inwards and hampered Miss Another.
Race 8 PRESIDENT'S DISTANCE FEATURE - C1d - 603 This race was hand started due to the automatic triggering system on these starting boxes undergoing investigation as a result of recent malfunction. Last Account was very slow to begin. Krackem and Danny Hand came together for a stride entering the second turn with both runners being slightly checked. Last Account ran wide on the second turn and forced Tiger Eyes to cover extra ground. Krackem and Ridley Reason came together briefly in the home straight.
Race 9 DENNY'S DASH - C4 - 318 Stooge ran inwards at the start causing severe checks to itself, Awesome Mystery, Charlston Chill and Osbourne. Nearing the first turn Comical Ali moved outwards and severely checked Stooge and to a lesser extent Final Objective. Charlston Chill ran extremely wide into the home straight when near the rear and covered a lot of extra ground finishing last.
Race 10 RADIO TRACKSIDE STAKES - C4/5 - 527 Secret Teddy and Tourist Jack were the slowest to begin. Nearing and entering the first turn Time Solves and Secret Teddy came together twice. Shortly after Slice Of Moon moved outwards slightly off the rail causing severe checks to Magical Spell, Secret Teddy and Time Solves. Magical Spell was always at the rear thereafter and showed no improvement. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury.
Race 11 WE RACE SUNDAY 30TH OCTOBER DASH - C3 - 318 Entering the first turn Awesome At Last moved outwards checking Boss Brentin and forcing Kiwi Fire wide and to cover extra ground. On the first bend Goldfinger Jewel came in contact with the hind quarters of and severely checked Boss Brentin. Awesome At Last ran very wide into the home straight when racing at the rear. A post race veterinary examination of this runner detected no injury. Rock It Hound (N.P.Green). Sore left hip support on palpation. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 24.10.05. Jeepers (N.P.Green). Late scratching. Left hind split webbing, bleeding and sore on abduction. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 25.10.05.
