Race 1 WELCOME STAKES - C3 - 505 BLUE MOON MAGIC, WIKI FLEX, TANNOCHBRAE and HOMEBUSH GOLIATH were checked and ran wide on the first corner and WIKI FLEX appeared to suffer an injury and pulled up. He was examined by the vet and was stood down for 28 days with a hock injury. WIKI FLEX A.Roberts Rule 329 Suffered a serious hock injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 08.11.05
Race 2 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C1/2 - 297 MISTER JAYBEE turned in the boxes, took no part in the race and is required to box trial and this was completed satisfactorily. UNO A WHISPER was checked on the first corner, went back to last and finished in that place.She suffered abrasions to both hind legs and was stood down for 10 days. UNO A WHISPER S.Clark Rule 329 Suffered abrasions to both hind legs and stood down for 10 days to and including 21.10.05.
Race 3 ALBION TAVERN - C4 - 297 TURBO JEWEL dropped out from the first turn and finished several lengths last, was examined by the vet and cleared of injury. The winner STATELY CHARM cramped badly after the finish line and was also examined by the Vet and cleared.
Race 4 OUTBACK TRADING - C4/5 - 505 TIGHNABRUICH was late scratched after being injured in a fight on race morning. PELICAN CREEK was bumped and pushed wide on the first corner and tailed the field from there to the finish. TIGHNABRUICH O.Marron Rule 259 A late scratching after being injured in a fight, was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 18.10.05.
Race 5 OXFORD HOTEL - C2/3 - 297 All clear.
Race 6 MANAWATU FLYING SPRINT - C5 - 297 DELTA BELLE was jostled for several strides early in the race but recovered well to run on for 2nd. MISSY LEE, MANAWA NUI and CELESTIAL were checked on the bend and dropped back to fill the last three places at the finish. SOUTHBROOK STAR D.Kettlewell Rule 329 Puncture wound to hind leg and stood down for 10 days to and including 21.10.05.
Race 7 CLOVERLEA TAVERN - C1/2 - 505 HOKIO STAR was scratched due to injury. THRILLING MARK was scratched when underweight and the Trainers were fined $ 100-00 under Rule 269 (3). The race was all clear. HOKIO STAR G & S Hayden Holmes Rule 259 Suffering from soreness in a hind leg, was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 18.10.05. THRILLING MARK M & A Sutton Rule 269 (3) A late scratching when 1.6 Kilograms underweight.
Race 8 AWAPUNI LIQUORLAND - C1/2 - 505 LUCABELLA and BEST TELL BRIAN were checked entering the back straight and they never recovered. The favourite BIGTIME JENNY was one of the slowest away but then recovered well to run on for 2nd place.
Race 9 PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C1/2 - 297 GUNGULLIN was checked back to last on the first corner and stayed in that position to the finish. FULL OF FLARE B.Cole Rule 259 Suffering from a slight hock injury and was presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 13.10.05.
Race 10 HAERE RA - C1 - 505 MOVIE MAN, ARANUI MIST and DES'REE were tightened and jostled for a few strides soon after the start. EARL MCROBERTS was checked and dropped back to the rear on the first corner.
