Judicial report: Weather: Fine A hearing before the Judicial Committee (A.Booth) was reconvened from 15.09.05. in relation to charges under Rules 135.1 and 135.10 against Trainer D.L.Annette for not providing a catcher for the greyhound Ona Run which competed in Race 9 at that race meeting. Mrs Annette had advised the Judicial Committee that she was unable to attend today's hearing and therefore a further adjournment was granted until 20.10.05.

During the kennelling process Trainer D.Schofield was reprimanded for the manner in which he chose to discuss a trial day / time issue with the Club Secretary (L.Henley).

Race 1	WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE STAKES - C2/3 - 457	Ridley Reason, Thrilling Dash, Run To Paradise and Ash's Assassin were slowest to begin.
Race 2	CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN - HEAT 1 - C0q - 457 Heat 1	Our Jigsaw, Traditionalist and Distinctly Roys were slowest to begin. Raincall ran inwards and Our Jigsaw outwards after the start which tightened checked Traditionalist. Our Jigsaw, Traditionalist, Raincall and Richfield Reason jostled for several strides after 60 mtrs with all being checked. Nearing the first turn Our Jigsaw and Raincall jostled for several strides again.
Race 3	CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN - HEAT 2 - C0q - 457 Heat 1	No head on coverage of this race was available from TAB Trackside. Hey Zeus drifted soon after the start and never improved thereafter finishing 7th. A post race veterinary examination on this runner detected no injury. Giggilo Gee Jay raced handy early then on the first turn moved outwards across the heels of Joebees Jet, lost 3 lengths and was never in contention thereafter finishing last. Dumblestick (L.D.Martin) Rule 179.1 Satisfactory Trial ex Auckland GRC held on 28.09.05.
Race 4	RACEWAY DASH - C2 - 375	Hove Dale and Baltasar were slowest to begin. Nearing the first turn Velvot Revolver and Glenmire came together for a stride with both being checked slightly. Glenmire (favourite) began well, raced in midfield, drifted on the bend and then faded in the home straight to finish 7th. A post race veterinary examination on this runner detected no injury. On the bend Just Hasty moved outwards across the heels of Keenjackaroo and checked itself slightly.
Race 5	CAMBRIDGE MAIDEN - HEAT 3 - C0q - 457 Heat 1	Ray Reeb, Devil In Me, Lauren Auder and Lord Maximus were slowest to begin. Prior to the first turn Devil In Me and Lauren Auder came together for several strides. Entering the first turn Ray Reeb ran outwards and Lord Maximus inwards resulting in a severe collision almost causing both to fall. Post race veterinary examinations on these runners detected no injury. On the home turn when racing handy, Sun Of Jonelle clipped the heels of Lord Maximus with both being checked. Lord Maximus then drifted in the home straight to finish 6th.
Race 6	HILLCREST TAVERN STAKES - C2 - 457	Coach Purdon and Charlston Kid were the slowest to begin. Miss Another moved outwards after 60 mtrs and checked Frosty's Special. Charlston Kid clipped the heels of Buddy Hand on the home turn, ran outwards and hampered Kalkaringi slightly. Charlston Kid lost ground at a crucial stage of the race as a result of this incident and ran on well for 2nd.
Race 7	TAMAHERE STAKES - C1 - 457	El Paso Princess, Shellsal, Hypo Lomu and Deniable were the slowest to begin. El Paso Princess and Shellsal came together after the start. Shellsal moved inwards on the first turn, tightening and severely checking Hypo Lomu. Destiny's Run galloped on the heels of Colonel Hogan on the first turn. Nearing the home turn El Paso Princess ran very wide and collided with Deniable causing that runner to lose all chance and finish last. Destiny's Run (S.P.Clark). Broken tail tip. Rule 329. 10 days up to and including 09.10.05.
Race 8	DINSDALE TAVERN DASH - C4/5 - 375	More Gold drifted slightly shortly after the start. Nearing the first turn Ballibeast, Spring Storm and Mr Pollywaffle came together with all being checked. Spring Storm moved outwards entering the first turn and checked More Gold and Marissa Bale. Shortly after Spring Storm moved outwards again severely checking More Gold for a second time. Bob Allen and Hostile Arch came together for a stride on the home turn resulting in a slight check to Hostile Arch which ran on well for 2nd.
Race 9	TAUWHARE STAKES - C1 - 457	Nadal was observed and reported to be hard to box and the Handler was questioned regarding this and an assessment will be conducted by the Starter and Stewards at the greyhound's next race start. Nadal was very slow to begin, then stumbled and was always near the rear thereafter. Rocking Queen was checked slightly on the first turn. Astro Sharrie ran very wide on the bend. Hostile Girlie ran outwards on the home turn and hampered Davron Lass slightly.
Race 10	TE RAPA TAVERN STAKES - C4 - 457	There was no time taken for this race due to a system failure. Prince Toshack, Fancy Style, Krackem and Awesome Enforcer were the slowest to begin. Krackem, Awesome Enforcer and Prince Toshack raced in tight quarters entering the first turn. Prince Toshack was towards the rear until the home straight and ran on strongly for 3rd. Krackem raced near the rear throughout and showed little improvement in the home straight finishing 7th. A post race veterinary examination detected no injury. Bevron Road ran outwards on the home turn and checked itself, Big Teddy Boy and Awesome Cole at a crucial stage of the race.
