Judicial report: Weather: Rain A hearing into the automatic scratching / penalty of Don Paulie (N.P.Green) under Rule 269.3 at the race meeting held on 21.09.05 was reconvened before the AGRC Judicial Committee (N.McGough). Following the presentation of evidence the Judicial Committee advised that he would be seeking to obtain relevant documentation from the AGRC and therefore reserved his decision.

A comprehensive report was received from the Club Judicial Steward (N.McGough) in relation to an emergency situation (kennel collapse) which occurred in the security kennel area at the previous race meeting held on 21.09.05 and involved the greyhounds Delta Belle and Bob Allen.
I am completely satisfied that given the circumstances which existed, the matter was handled in the best interests of the greyhounds, Trainers, Officials and Racemeeting.

Race 9. It was noticed in the Parade Ring that Nasty Streak (R.P.O'Regan) was wearing the incorrect rug number which was then changed immediately. The Head Kennel Steward was subsequently questioned regarding the error and her explanation accepted on this occasion.

Race 1	MANUKAU HURDLES - HEAT 2 - C1/2hq - 527 Heat 1	Aranui Speedy and Pitstock Jazz were slow to begin. Aranui Pick misjudged the fourth hurdle and fell heavily resulting in this greyhound's demise. A post race veterinary examination was conducted to determine the cause. Aranui Speedy was severely checked in this incident. Pitstock Jazz jumped hesitantly throughout finishing well back. Aranui Tui (M.N.Boyd). Rule 329 ex Manawatu GRC held on 23.09.05. Aranui Pick (M.N.Boyd). Neck injury from fall, resulting in demise.
Race 2	STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C1 - 318	Prince Flex, Airfield Fog, Roulette Reason and Dr Dal Santo were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn Prince Flex was tightened, stumbled, drifted to last and then recovered slightly to finish 6th. Airfield Fog was checked on the bend. Airfield Fog and Dr Dal Santo came together on the home turn with both being checked. Black Tyler (J.R.Udy). Gained start in Race 5.
Race 3	THORNTON AUCTIONS MAIDEN STAKES - FINAL - C0f - 527	Goodrem, Dumblestick and Lauren Auder were slow to begin. Coruba Rush and RothvaleReason came together for astride shortly after the start. Dumblestick pulled up on the first bend and a post race veterinary examination detected no injury. Consequently this greyhound is required to complete a Satisfactory Trial prior to being nominated to race again. Dumblestick (L.D.Martin). Required to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 179.1.
Race 4	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C1/2 - 318	Buddy Hand, King Of Dreams and Thrilling Delta were the slowest to begin. King Of Dreams and Thrilling Delta jostled several times prior to the first turn resulting in checks to both runners. Buddy Hand, Miamigo and Forever Running came together entering the first turn. Thrilling Delta moved outwards on the bend checking Forever Running. Thrilling Delta and Camcaff came together for a stride on the home turn. My Lady Pacific (D.Garrett). Diarrhoea. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 06.10.05.
Race 5	BELLBIRD ARMS STAKES FINAL - C1f - 527	Dinah Washington, Shellsal, Last Account and Airfield Rush were the slowest to begin. Airfield Rush inwards at the start and checked itself and Dinah Washington. Last Account ran outwards on the first turn and checked Shellsal. Dinah Washington moved outwards entering the home straight and ran on strongly to win. Maximum ( P.B.Freeman).Diarrhoea. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. Vet certificate supplied. 10 days up to and including 06.10.05. Southern Rush (P.B.Freeman). Diarrhoea. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 06.10.05.
Race 6	JIMBO'S PETFOOD STAKES - C1 - 527	Deniable, Davron Express, Just Curly and El Paso Princess were the slowest to begin. Just Curly ran inwards sharply entering the first turn and severely checked Virtuoso and in a chain reaction Destiny's Run and Spryridon Louis were also severely checked. General tightening on the first bend resulted in El Paso Princess, Thrilling Cullen, Just Curly and Deniable being checked. Destiny's Run, Thrilling Cullen and Just Curly came together on the home turn with Thrilling Cullen being checked. Thrilling Gus (N.Udy). Sore left deltoid muscle. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 07.10.05. Shellsal (L.D.Martin). Gained start in Race 5.
Race 7	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DASH - C3 - 318	Goldfinger Jewel was very slow to begin and never recovered finishing last.
Race 8	RADIO TRACKSIDE STAKES - C1/2 - 527	Tourist Jack and Under Time were the slowest to begin. Lindale Express moved outwards on the first turn and hampered Thrilling Fella slightly. Thrilling Fella and Hopplar came together for a stride on the first bend then Cosmic Eclipse galloped on the heels of Hopplar checking that runner. Hang On Mate drifted on the final bend and was then galloped on from behind by Hopplar with both being severely checked.
Race 9	COCA COLA DASH - C4 - 318	General tightening after 50 mtrs resulted in checks to Awesome Mystery, Final Objective and Charlston Time. Max's Millions was checked slightly on the first bend. China's Fire (R.P.O'Regan). Sore left superficial pectoral muscle, sore right gracilis muscle and left hock strain. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 14 days up to and including 07.10.05.
Race 10	SIX PACK STAKES - C4/5 - 527	Shining Comet was slow to begin. Rialto Reason ran inwards sharply after 20 mtrs and severely checked itself and Winsome Guy. Nearing the home turn Winsome Guy outwards forcing Rialto Reason to cover extra ground at a vital stage of the race. Jane Doe (D.Garrett). Diarrhoea. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 06.10.05.
