Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Race 4. Following the late scratching of Don Paulie (N.P.Green) under Rule 269.3 due to a 1.7kg weight variance, Mr Green declined to sign the 'Notice of Summary Fine' declaration form under Rule 103 'Meaning of Words' - Summary Fine. Consequently the matter was referred to the AGRC Judicial Committee (N.McGough) by the Stipendiary Steward and a Hearing was opened and adjourned until 28.09.05.

Prior to Race 9 the floor of a second tier kennel in the security kennel area collapsed and caused an emergency situation requiring immediate intervention by a number of Kennel Staff, Veterinary Surgeon and Judicial Steward. The priority was rightfully the welfare of the two greyhounds involved and obtaining pre race veterinary clearance for them.The matter including the action taken by the Officials concerned is the subject of a full report, to be presented to the Stipendiary Steward and Club by the Judicial Steward (N.McGough).

Race 9. Following this race the Handler of Bob Allen (J.Pomeroy), expressed concern to the Stipendiary Steward in relation to the timing of notification to her, by Officials, following the kennel collapse which involved Bob Allen.

Race 1	MANUKAU HURDLES - HEAT 1 - C1/2hq - 527 Heat 1	Aranui Speedy and Aranui Pick were the slowest to begin. Aranui Speedy jumped hesitantly near the rear throughout. Chippewa Brave hit the second hurdle and was then tightened on the final bend dropping back to finish last. A post race veterinary examination detected an injury requiring a stand down from racing. Chippewa Brave (B.J.Melville). Cranial elbow triangular skin laceration. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 04.10.05.
Race 2	THORNTON AUCTIONS MAIDEN STAKES - HEAT 1 - C0q - 527 Heat 1	Papaka, Richfield Reason and Goodrem were the slowest to begin. Richfield Reason and Papaka came together shortly after and jostled repeatedly until entering the first turn. Papaka moved outwards on the first turn and bend checking Richfield Reason. Entering the back straight Richfield Reason galloped on the heels of Papaka. A post race veterinary examination detected no injury. Pats Pride (L.Nixon) Sore right pectoral, right hip support and back spasm. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 28.09.05.
Race 3	THORNTON AUCTIONS MAIDEN STAKES - HEAT 2 - C0q - 527 Heat 1	Sable Gold and Dumblestick were slow to begin. Coruba Rush and Rothvale Reason came together after the start. Bonnie Token drifted slightly on the first turn. Coruba Rush moved outwards on the first bend and inconvenienced Dumblestick.
Race 4	STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C1/2 - 318	Thrilling Delta and Boot's Last jostled several times prior to the first turn. Boot's Last moved outwards entering the first turn resulting in checks to Thrilling Delta and Just Hasty. A post race veterinary examination on Junior Time detected injury requiring a stand down from racing. Jumbo Flash (D.W.Mathews) Diarrhoea and elevated temperature. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 29.09.05. Junior Time (S.C.Mann). Front toe, de-gloving of toe pad - sutured. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 02.10.05.
Race 5	BELLBIRD ARMS STAKES - HEAT 1 - C1q - 527 Heat 1	Last Account and Maximum came together after the start. Just Curly moved inwards entering the first turn causing Bronnie Bolta to be tightened and checked. Jewel was also checked in this incident. On the first bend Just Curly moved inwards to the rail again and checked Bronnie Bolta. A post race veterinary examination on Bronnie Bolta detected no injury. Shanti (G.J.Noakes) Change of trainer / overweight concerns. Rule 259.3. 30 days up to and including 18.10.05.
Race 6	BELLBIRD ARMS STAKES - HEAT 2 - C1q - 527 Heat 1	Shellsal, Just The Don and Frosty's Special were slow to begin. Airfield Rush, Southern Rush and Little Pressy came together and jostled after the start. Deniable moved outwards sharply on the first turn severely checking Shellsal and Little Pressy.
Race 7	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C3 - 318	High Fever was the slowest to begin. In general tightening shortly after the start all runners with the exception of Awesome Mystery and Goldfinger Jewel were checked. Nearing the first turn Awesome At Last ran outwards and hampered Rock It Hound and Foreign Diplomat which was also forced over extra ground as a result.
Race 8	CAROL'S TAB STAKES - C4/5 - 527	Shining Comet and Rialto Reason were slowest to begin. My Charlston ran inwards at the start and hampered Awesome Cole. Buck's Reward moved to the rail entering the first turn and checked itself and Nitro Bird. Entrepreneur (D.Schofield) Hock pain and swelling. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 14 days up to and including 03.10.05.
Race 9	RADIO TRACKSIDE DASH - C4/5 - 318	I'm Wishing reared as the boxes opened and lost a length. Cordu Bale was slow to begin. Nearing the first turn Gold Strike, Nasty Streak and Osbourne jostled and then Cordu Bale and Osbourne with all of these runners being checked as a result. Nasty Streak ran outwards on the first turn and carted I'm Wishing very wide. Nearing the back straight Osbourne and China's Fire came together. Tarrah (N.P.Green) Medial quadriceps muscle injury to left hind thigh. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 28.09.05.
Race 10	SIX PACK STAKES - C2/3 - 527	Kaimai Gold and Tourist Jack were the slowest to begin. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Run To Paradise, Ridley Reason and Tourist Jack. Entering the turn at the end of the back straight Kaimai Gold moved inwards to the rail causing severe checks to itself, Southern Eclipse and Dyna Sandra. Thrilling Red (K.Walsh). Rule 329. Ex AGRC 16.09.05.
