Race 1	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS DASH - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH SONYA was checked on the first corner, dropped back and checked BOSSY ACE who lost some ground. On the home turn NEW YORK COP moved in and checked LORD FLAME who went back and outwards buffeting DUSTY'S DIAMOND, AMANDA CHOICE, BOSSY ACE and THRILLING BOW who all lost ground.
Race 2	DISPLAY ASSOCIATES SPRINT - C1 - 305	BIGTIME SARAH was bumped on the first corner and dropped back losing the chance to gain a placing. VOO DOO and KINAWHATA FLYER collided on the home turn and KINAWHATA FLYER almost fell, finishing in last place.
Race 3	HEADS ROAD VETERINARY '520' - C3/4 - 520	THRILLING DUKE was scratched after gaining a start in Race 8. MOANA NUI stopped quickly and dropped out to finish a long last.The dog was examined by the vet and stood down for 30 days with an injured metatarsal. CELESTIAL moved out sharply on the home turn and collided with HE'S HYPO who was pushed wide before recovering to make up some ground for 4th placing. THRILLING DUKE Gained a start in Race 8. MOANA NUI A.Duganzich Rule 329 Suffered a metatarsal injury and was stood down for 30 days to and including 04.09.05.
Race 4	WANGANUI SECURITY '305' - C4 - 305	RALPH and THRILLING CODY were crowded against the rail in the race to the first corner, dropped back to the rear and never recovered, filling the last two places.
Race 5	KEENAN CONCRETE FEATURE - C1 - 520	The race was all clear.
Race 6	EXCEED '520' - C1/2 - 520	The favourite RUSHED AFFAIR was one of the slowest away and then bumped with UPAHUT ROSE on the first corner, bumped CRYPTIC when entering the back straight and then went on to win well. CRYPTIC dropped back quickly from the check, never recovered and finished 2nd last. HOMEBUSH MOODY was handy starting on the last bend but was badly checked and went back to last and stayed there. The dog was checked by the Vet and found to be uninjured.
Race 7	DIMOCKS RETRAVISION SPRINT - C4/5 - 305	HYPO PONTING was a late scratching after being injured in a fight. BLACK ALLEGRO and PHAEDRA were the slowest away but they recovered to finish 2nd ( BLACK ALLEGRO ) and 4th ( PHAEDRA ). HYPO PONTING J & D Fahey Rule 259 A late scratching due to injuries sustained in a fight and stood down for 10 days to and including 15.08.05
Race 8	STEEL STRUCTURES WANGANUI CUP - C5 - 520	MANAWA NUI was scratched due to a gracilus muscle injury. The favourite THRILLING SAM dipped slightly on jumping out and settled back in the field and could not make up the lost ground, finishing in 6th place. MANAWA NUI M.Fryer Rule 259 Has a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 02.09.05.
Race 9	RUSH HIRE '305' - C2 - 305	GINGER TYLER eased up very quickly racing to the first corner and finished a long last. The dog did not appear to be striding out normally and was examined by the vet and found to have been galloped on with some lacerations but no stand down was required.
Race 10	METEOR PRINTERS DASH - C3 - 305	HOMEBUSH LEO was handy early but was bumped by REAL SILENCE on the bend, went off stride and dropped out to finish in last place.
