KATIES TEXT moved out on the first corner and checked BABYLON ANGEL who dropped back to near the rear. KATIES TEXT continued to race wide over extra ground around the bend and was followed out wide by LIKENALE. |
Race 2 | ALBION TAVERN - C0 - 297 | YULE TIDE, UTIKU SMILES and KAITOKE POWER were all slow to begin and stayed back throughout the race. |
Race 3 | AWAPUNI LIQUORLAND - C0 - 297 | KAITOKE PRINCESS was very slow away losing several lengths. UNO YOU LIKA was tightened between runners soon after the start and fell but was uninjured. The favourite SINERATA ran very wide into the straight covering extra ground and forcing KAITOKE PRINCESS wide. They filled the last two places at the finish. IMA FREEMAN C.Morris Rule 329 Suffering from a haematoma on a hock and stood down for 7 days to and including 10.08.05. |
Race 4 | COURTESY FORD - C0 - 505 | HIGHMOR TERE was badly checked on the first corner, lost several lengths and finished some distance behind the other runners. HIGHMOR TERE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury at that time. |
Race 5 | MANAWATU SOUND SERVICES - C1 - 297 | This event was 3 minutes late due to the tightness of the programme with some Trainers having to late kennel dogs and then collect dogs for this race. The favourite VOO DOO settled well back and was then checked by INADMISSIBLE on the first turn, went back to last and never recovered. |
Race 6 | PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C1 - 297 | UTIKU ROLLS was slow away but recovered well to make contact with the field again without looking likely to gain a placing. One of the favourites LESLIES PEARL was checked back to last on the first corner and never recovered, finishing in last place. UTIKU ROLLS moved out on the home turn and bumped TEE BONE and MARSHELLA who were put off balance for a couple of strides |
Race 7 | OUTBACK TRADING - C2 - 297 | One of the favourites MISTER JAYBEE was slow to begin and never recovered, finishing well back. GIN GINGER CAPP checked off the heels of TIMTAGEL STAR on the bend, lost momentum and went back a couple of places. |
Race 8 | MANAWATU SECURITY SERVICES - C1 - 297 | PENMANS PAL ran out from Box 3 and forced MIAMIGO and IMAGE OF ISHBELL wide into the first corner. SATARA was also forced to race wide and covered considerable extra ground, finishing in last place. |
Race 9 | CONFERENCE SPRINT - C2/3 - 297 | DOVE L'MORE and JACK RHODE were both checked when starting on the bend and they lost all chance. |

Race 13 | SANTA LUCIA MEMORIAL CHALLENGE CUP - DIVISION 1 - C1 - 505 | HAMMER MY HEART was a late scratching due to being incorrectly nominated for the race. It could not be conclusively established who was at fault in this matter and no action was taken. HOMEBUSH BOY went up with the box lids, lost several lengths and tailed the field throughout the race to finish last. Race 14 | SANTA LUCIA MEMORIAL CHALLENGE CUP - DIVISION 2 - C1 - 505 | KWIK SOLVE jumped in at the start and checked MILO OSHEA, TOKEN WARRIOR and COMANCHE BRAVE who settled at the rear. COMMANCHE BRAVE then moved in on the first corner and checked TOKEN WARRIOR who again lost ground. |
Race 15 | SANTA LUCIA MEMORIAL CHALLENGE CUP - DIVISION 3 - C1 - 505 | BLUEMOON was checked starting on the last bend, went back to last and stayed in that position to the finish. |
