Judicial report: Weather: Showery A Non-Tote (CO -375 mtrs) race was conducted prior to Race 1 and won by Super Deal (M.Mathews) in a time of 22.31 sec. The trainer (K.Sutch-Jones) of Big Archie (2nd) was advised that the racing manners of this greyhound will be closely monitored in the immediate future.

Race 2. Trainer K.W.Symes requested an assessment of the boxing manners of Sable Gold with a view to declaring this greyhound 'Hard to Box'. Following the race it was observed and reported by the Starter that the greyhound was not unduly difficult and therefore a further assessment at the next race start will be conducted.

Race 7. Prior to the field being loaded into the boxes for this race the box lids opened slowly for no apparent reason. The Starter conducted an immediate check / test of the automatic release system / equipment and reported that he was satisfied that it was fully operational. The runners were loaded and the automatic opening of the box lids functioned normally and continued to do so for the remainder of the programme. Further testing will be undertaken prior to the next race meeting.

Race 1	WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE DASH - C1/2 - 375	Ballibeast moved inwards at the start which tightened and checked itself, Bubba Hotep and Velvot Revolver (favourite and 7th). King Of Dreams (5th) moved outwards at the start checking itself, Bus Painter and Keenjackaroo (2nd). Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Velvot Revolver, Bubba Hotep, Ballibeast, King Of Dreams and Bus Painter. Bubba Hotep and Velvot Revolver came together for a stride on the home turn. A post race veterinary examination of Velvot Revolver did not detect any injury.
Race 2	MATANGI MAIDEN - C0 - 457	Cowboy Dreamer and Papaka were slow to begin. Im The Boss and Cowboy Dreamer came together for a stride after the start. Im The Boss and Papaka came together for a stride on the first turn.
Race 3	DUNEDIN DASH - C1 - 375	Destiny's Run was scratched due to injury. Schultz ran inwards at the start and severely checked Deniable. Entering the first turn Deniable endeavoured to move outwards and hampered Schultz. Kimster drifted on the bend and finished last. Destiny's Run (S.P.Clark).Shoulder laceration. No Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259.3. 30 days up to and including 25.08.05.
Race 4	MANAWATU SPRINT - C3 - 375	Someone was boxed first due to a current 'Hard to Box' classification and was observed and reported to box without difficulty. Someone was standing up as box lids opened. Just Hasty (2nd) ran outwards at the start hampering Someone which in turn caused tightening and slight checks to itself and Junior Time. Dyna Ropati (winner) ran outwards at the start checking Goldfinger Jewel (3rd). Entering the first turn Just Hasty and Le Mans Song came together for a stride and then shortly after Le Mans Song was tightened and checked between Just Hasty and Junior Time.
Race 5	TAB PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE DASH - C1 - 375	Hypo Lomu (2nd) ran inwards at the start hampering Hove Dale (winner) and Bonza Bill (3rd). Bonza Bill ran outwards shortly after the start severely checking itself and Harmoneyes. Entering the first turn general tightening resulted in severe checks to Friendly Virus (favourite and 4th), Jumbo Flash and Pitter Patter. Friendly Virus ran wide on the home turn covering extra ground.
Race 6	SUPERIOR GREYHOUND FORMULA STAKES - C4/5 - 457	Stabila Boss (favourite) was slow to begin and always in the rear group thereafter finishing 7th. Entering the first turn Stabila Boss moved outwards hampering Raheny Reason slightly and then coming back onto Erickson Bale which was checked. Raheny Reason (5th) ran wide on the home turn covering extra ground. Stabila Boss (R.P.O'Regan). Left wrist soreness. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 10.08.05. (Registration papers to be presented to Stipendiary Steward for endorsement).
Race 7	HATRICK SPRINT - C1/2 - 375	This race started 1 minute late due to the starting box lids opening slowly automatically for no apparent reason, prior to the field being loaded. They were checked, reset and operated correctly without further problem. Cosmic Eclipse (3rd), Baltasar (5th) and Charlston Flash (4th) were the slowest to begin. Forever Running and Charlston Flash came together for a stride after the start. Entering the first turn Bahama Bale and Camcaff came together with Bahama Bale being checked. Cosmic Eclipse moved off the rail on the first turn checking Charlston Flash then galloped on the heels of Bahama Bale which retreated quickly to finish last. Forever Running was also checked in this incident.
Race 8	CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY DASH - C4/5 - 375	More Gold (2nd) and Dalhunty Bale came together after the start with Dalhunty Bale being checked. On the bend Hostile Arch (4th) ran very wide severely checking Campbell Bale with Kiwi Fire also being checked and forced to cover extra ground as a result of this incident. Campbell Bale ( G.N.Pomeroy). Left hind dislocated toe. Rule 329. 14 days up to and including 10.08.05. (Registration papers to be presented to Stipendiary Steward for endorsement).
Race 9	MANUKAU STAKES - C2/3 - 457	Stacey Allen was scratched due to injury. Booming Time (3rd) and Thrilling Dash (favourite and 7th) were slow to begin. Charlston Kid (6th) missed the start by 5 lengths. Shooshla (2nd) moved outwards on the first turn hampering Fancy Joe (winner) which then moved to the rail tightening and checking Thrilling Dash. Tiger Eyes and Thrilling Dash came together nearing the home turn with both being checked when racing near the rear. Stacey Allen (A.C.Roberts). Left carpus injury. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 06.08.05.
Race 10	GET OUT STAKES - C1 - 457	Under Time, Shanti and Ona Run were slow to begin. Entering the first turn Hostile Girlie (5th) and Sea Drifter (4th) came together resulting in checks to Sea Drifter, Under Time and Bonified (3rd). On the first turn Hostile Girlie was denied racing room and came back onto Under Time which was checked and moved outwards severely checking Shanti which took evasive action and ran outwards onto the hind quarters of Ona Run which was also severely checked. Sea Drifter ran wide on the home turn and covered extra ground.
