BIGTIME SARAH was handy into the first corner but was checked, lost ground but then recovered to run on for 3rd place. COLONIAL COOL ran wide on the home turn and forced UNO JEANO and GOODREM wide over extra ground and they filled the last three places. UNRUFFLED Ex Wanganui on 22.07.05. ROMANTIC DREAM B.Duganzich Rule 258 (3) A late scratching due to a seasonal complaint and stood down for 30 days to and including 25.08.05.
Race 2	BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C1 - 297	UTIKU ROCKS galloped on the heels of MR GULLIVER and they both lost momentum for a few strides. SOLITARY LIGHT was slightly checked on the first corner and dropped back checking CECILIA BRYAN who lost some ground.
Race 3	ALBION TAVERN - C1 - 297	SHEEZA CORKA was scratched ex Wanganui on 22.07.05 CADMUS was slow away and raced well back throughout.. SHEEZA CORKA Ex Wanganui on 22.07.05.
Race 4	AWAPUNI LIQUORLAND - C3/4 - 297	LA ROKO moved out in the back straight and jostled RALPH for several strides. RALPH then moved in on the corner and checked SAILAH JAYNE who was hindered for a couple of strides.
Race 5	COURTESY FORD - C4/5 - 505	FINE PROFIT ran onto the heels of another runner on the first corner, moved out and pushed GO PEARL GO wide on the first bend.
Race 6	MANAWATU SOUND SERVICE - C1 - 505	DANCING BANSHEE bumped TOKEN WARRIOR on the first corner and pushed that runner wide and soon after THRILLING HOPE came out sharply and checked DANCING BANSHEE.
Race 7	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOS - C1 - 505	ARANUI SPEEDY was scratched due to a kidney infection. KOTUKU ARANUI was a late scratching due to an injury in the stifle area. BEST TELL BRIAN went up in the air with the box lids and lost several lengths and raced well back in the field throughout. ARANUI SPEEDY M.Boyd Rule 259 Suffering from a kidney infection and stood down for 10 days to and including 03.08.05. KOTUKU ARANUI M.Boyd Rule 259 A late scratching due to suffering from an injury near the stifle and presented and stood down for 7 days to and including 02.08.05
Race 8	OUTBACK TRADING - C5 - 297	Tightening in the early stages resulted in the favourite BLACK ALLEGRO being checked and losing its position and a chance of a placing.
Race 9	MANAWATU SECURITY SERVICES - C2 - 297	MISTER JAYBEE was very slow away and lost several lengths and all chance of a placing.
Race 10	CONFERENCE STAKES - C2/3 - 505	MISS MOONWALK was scratched due to a shoulder injury. DUSTY NERO was a late scratching due to a pad injury. The favourite CELESTIAL was checked back to last as they entered the back straight but she then recovered to run on for 3rd place. ANTONI BEE was checked entering the last bend and dropped back causing checks to SCANDINAVIAN and ASTRO NERONE who filled the last two places at the finish.
