Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer L.Fornasiere was fined a total of $ 300-00 on three separate charges under Rule 269 (3) after three of her runners were overweight.

Race 1 HUTT PARK STAKES - C0 - 525 NGAPUHI BOY and BRIDIES GYPSY were the last away and they tailed the field throughout and filled the last two places.
Race 2 BRYCE FRANCIS GRAPHICS - C0 - 295 This event was abandoned after the box lids opened before the lure started and the field ran a circuit before being recaptured. The caretaker reported that the mechanism which operates to open the boxes activated as soon as the power was switched on and this problem was quickly rectified.
Race 3 ACCSYS FOR QUICKBOOKS - C0 - 525 Tightening on the first corner resulted in checks to SIROCO WINS, TUSSY and DUSTYS REWARD and they went back quickly to the rear and never recovered, filling the last three places at the finish.
Race 4 'INNER-CITY TAB' - C1 - 295 MARIOS MATE was a late scratching under Rule 269 (3) The trainer was fined $ 100-00 under the same rule. NGAPUHI GIRL was very slow to begin losing several lengths. TIGERISH was checked on the first corner and dropped out to the rear and finished in last place with NGAPUHI GIRL just ahead. MARIOS MATE L.Fornasiere Rule 269 (3) Overweight by 1.6 Kilograms and a late scratching.
Race 5 EL CHEAPO CARS - C1 - 295 BOUND FOR CHINA drew box 8 and moved across very sharply and hindered several other runners soon after the start. NEW YORK COP was held up behind the leader for several strides before getting a gap and racing through to win.
Race 6 CUSTOMS AGENTS WELLINGTON - C1 - 295 HOMEBUSH LUCKY, LISSADELL PRINCE and HOMEBUSH TYSON jostled together for several strides soon after the start. The favourite SHEEZA CORKA led early but then ran wide on the bend and allowed other runners through on the inside and this ruined her chance of a dividend placing.
Race 7 CAPITAL TABS - C1 - 295 LEGAL EDITION was a late scratching under Rule 269 (3). The trainer was fined $ 100-00 under the same rule. HOMEBUSH HORSE was scratched due to suffering from acidosis. The favourite LADY MALONE was the slowest away and lost several lengths. She then ran very wide around the bend and finished well back. LEGAL EDITION L.Fornasiere Rule 269 (3) Overweight by 1.9 kilograms and a late scratching. HOMEBUSH HORSE J & J Tapiki Rule 259 Suffering from acidosis and stood down for 30 days to and including 15.08.05.
Race 8 ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS - C1 - 295 LADY PANTHERELLA was scratched due to a sesamoid injury. The winner TEE BONE made firm contact with EXPANDED as they entered the home straight and EXPANDED was pushed wide and off balance which ruined its chance of a placing. Race 9 B & P ENGINEERING DASH - C2 - 295 TONY THE GREEK was a late scratching under Rule 269 (3) . The trainer was fined $ 100-00 under the same rule. ROCKING QUEEN and RAINING MEN came together and jostled for several strides on the bend, became off balance and lost momentum. They finished several lengths behind the other runners. Race 10 TAITA NETBALL DASH - C3/4 - 295 HOT DISCOVERY was scratched ex Wanganui on 15.07.05. The race was all clear. HOT DISCOVERY Ex Wanganui on 15.07.05.
Race 11 'PARA-PLIM NETBALL' DASH - C2 - 295 CALM FLOW finished in last place and was examined by the vet and stood down for 10 days with shoulder soreness. CALM FLOW P.Clark Rule 329 Suffering from shoulder soreness and stood down for 10 days to and including 28.07.05
Race 12 'UPPERHUTT COSSIE CLUB' - C1 - 525 WINSOME TODD, TOKEN WARRIOR and LADY PIAVONIC were all slow to begin and settled at the rear.
Race 13 'UPPERHUTT COSSIE CLUB' - C1 - 525 INADMISSIBLE was scratched due to a toe injury. MARSHELLA was scratched due to a cardiac problem. HOMEBUSH DIVA led to the winning post with a round to run but was checked, went back to last and never recovered.
