Judicial report: Weather: Overcast / showers Race 5. R.A.McPhee, the trainer of Nikkei (4th), was shown the video replay of this race several times relevant to an incident in the home straight. Due to the film coverage available (not head-on) not providing conclusive evidence, no further action was taken however R.A.McPhee was advised that the racing manners of this greyhound will be monitored very closely in the immediate future.

Race 1	STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C0 - 318	Super Deal and Music Lesson were the slowest to begin. Fortified Hope and Iron Woman came together for a stride after the start. Not You and Super Deal came together for a stride after the start. Iron Woman and Deniable came together for a stride after 35 mtrs. Entering the first turn, general tightening resulted in checks to Im The Boss (favourite and 2nd), Deniable, Iron Woman, Fortified Hope (4th) and Music Lesson (3rd) with Deniable becoming unbalanced and falling heavily. A post race veterinary examination on Deniable detected no injury. Super Deal was forced wide and cover extra ground in this incident.
Race 2	NORTHERN DIGITAL PHOTOFINISH DASH - C1 - 318	Diamond Ditto (4th) and Robust Rock were slow to begin. Nearing the first turn Schultz was tightened and checked and raced near the rear thereafter. This runner then ran outwards on the home turn and checked Robust Rock which was racing in last position at the time.
Race 3	EGH INTERNET GREYHOUNDS STAKES - C0 - 527	Aranui Flash (4th), Black Spot and Devil In Me (3rd) were slow to begin. Tempest Lass (winner) ran inwards at the start severely checking Running Tiger (7th). Nearing the first turn Bonnie Token moved outwards and Tempest Lass inwards which caused tightening and checks to Running Tiger and Tempest Lass. Bonified moved inwards entering the first turn which tightened and checked Aranui Pick. Black Spot was tightened and checked on the first bend and was always at the rear thereafter.
Race 4	CAROLS TAB DASH - C1 - 318	Billy Hove and Our Shereena were the slowest to begin. Colonel Hogan moved outwards after the start hampering Billy Hove. Tiger Time came together with Prince Zidane for a stride after 50 mtrs. Entering the first turn Tiger Time (2nd), Prince Zidane and Bluemoon came together with all three suffering severe checks. On the bend Prince Zidane came back onto Billy Hove which was severely checked, lost all chance and finished last.
Race 5	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DASH - C1 - 318	Dr Dal Santo was the slowest to begin. Shortly after the start, all runners with the exception of Awesome At Last (2nd) and Bob Allen (winner), were involved in general tightening and checks. Nearing the first turn the entire field with the exception of Bob Allen were involved in further tightening and severe checks which extinguished the chances of Black Tyler and Forever Running. On the bend Hove Dale moved outwards hampering Tippy Soprano for several strides and forcing that runner to cover extra ground. In the home straight Nikkei was observed to run outwards from a rail position, lose focus for a stride and cause a check to Hove Dale racing on it's outer. Nikkei then refocused and ran on for 4th. It could not be determined from the video replay of the race coverage whether these runners had come together at the time of the incident.A post race veterinary examination was ordered for Nikkei which detected no injury. Race 6	COCA COLA STAKES - C1 - 527	Davron Express was a late scratching due to injury. Ona Run was scratched due to injury. Bet She Can (4th) was slow to begin. Davron Express (R.P.O'Regan). Late scratching. Right hind leg injury. No vet certificate supplied. Rule 259.3. 30 days up to and including 15.08.05. Ona Run (D.L.Annette). Rule 329. Ex Waikato GRC held on 13.07.05.
Race 7	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS DASH - C2 - 318	King Of Dreams and Christopher Bale jostled on three occasions prior to the first turn where King Of Dreams was tightened and checked. Osbourne moved outwards slightly on the first turn causing tightening to Hang On Mate and checking Supreme Paragon which came back onto King Of Dreams which was also checked and lost 3 lengths.
Race 8	JIMBOS PETFOOD STAKES - C1 - 527	Aranui Gold was scratched due to injury. Astro Sharrie was scratched due to gaining a start in Race 6. Under Time (2nd), Shanti, Number One Gun (5th) and Mr Chad were very slow to begin. Friendly Virus (winner) moved ran inwards after the start hampering and checking Den Of Fire (3rd). Friendly Virus moved inwards entering the first turn hampering Maxine's Beauty (4th). Aranui Gold (M.N.Boyd). Broken toe nail to quick, front paw. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days up to and including 25.07.05.
Race 9	RADIO PACIFIC STAKES - C2/3 - 527	Just The Don and Johnnies Luck were slow to begin. Winsome Rush (5th) and Just The Don (6th) raced wide and covered extra ground around the first turn and bend.
Race 10	MANUKAU DASH - C2 - 318	Camcaff and Comical Ali came together after 40 mtrs with both runners being severely checked. Hello Darling ran outwards on the first turn checking itself and Certainly with Certainly also being forced over extra ground as a result. Hello Darling appeared uncoordinated in it's galloping action during the running and drifted out to finish last. A post race examination did not detect any conclusive injury at that time.
