| Race 1 | AUCKLAND HURDLES FEATURE - C1h - 527 | Aranui Speedy and Mistegic (2nd) came together for a stride shortly after the start. Aranui Tui jumped the first fence awkwardly and severely checked Aranui Flash (winner). Ralph, Mistegic, Aranui Speedy and Aranui Pick were involved in general tightening into the first turn. Aranui Tui jumped hesitantly at the rear throughout. Pitstock Jazz took off to early approaching the last hurdle, hit the top and fell heavily when racing in 4th position. A veterinary examination detected no injury. |
| Race 2 | STREETS ICE CREAM DASH - C0 - 318 | Diamond Ditto (winner) and Bob Allen were slow to begin Schultz and Bob Allen came together after 60 mtrs. Lesson In Life and Waitamo were involved in a bumping duel into the first turn with Lesson In Life (5th) losing it's balance and almost falling.Waitamo was unable to avoid that runner and fell heavily. Bob Allen was also severely checked in this incident. A veterinary examination of Waitamo detected no injury. Diamond Ditto and Aranui Tamy (3rd) were also involved in a bumping duel for some distance prior to the first turn. |
| Race 3 | EGH INTERNET GREYHOUNDS DASH - C1 - 318 | Kath was scratched due to injury. Our Shereena and Our Freddie came together entering the first turn. Nikkei (2nd) and Sister Saintly (3rd) came together for a stride into the first turn. |
| Race 4 | COMMERCIAL PLUMBING STAKES - C0 - 527 | Sable Gold (4th) was slightly slow to begin. (Tent Top (winner) ran inwards at the start and severely checked Sun Of Jonelle which was always at the rear thereafter. This runner was also tightened and checked in the back straight by Devil In Me. Shanti ran off the rail to a wide running position on the first bend and lost valuable ground. |
| Race 5 | COCA COLA DASH - C1 - 318 | Miss Tracey Lee and Maxine's Beauty came together for a stride after the start. Robust Rock and Tempest Will came together after 60 mtrs with Robust Rock being checked. |
| Race 6 | CAROL'S TAB DASH - C1/2 - 318 | During the parade to the start Supreme Paragon (handler- J.B.Hastie) slipped it's collar and muzzle before trotting free (slowly) for 30 mtrs. A pre race veterinary examination of this runner was conducted prior to the start and was declared 'fit to race'. Trainer G.Calverley and handler J.B.Hastie were questioned regarding the cause and their explanation was accepted. Mr Hastie was advised to exercise more control in future by using the designated collar. Turbo McCookie, Hove Dale and Velvot Revolver (4th) were slow to begin. Velvot Revolver ran inwards at the start and hampered Hove Dale. Turbo McCookie and Velvot Revolver came together into the first turn with Turbo McCookie being checked. Kath (A.Cleaver). | Race 7 | RADIO PACIFIC STAKES - C1 - 527 | Baltasar, Charlston Deal (5th) and Hopplar (4th) were slow to begin. As a result of general tightening and a chain reaction of interference on the first turn Rollover Angel (3rd), Nadal, Baltasar, Hopplar and Charlston Deal were all severely checked. | Race 8 | MANUKAU RESTRICTED AGE SPRINT - HEAT 1A - SPECq - 318 Heat 1 | Junior Time now trained by S.C.Mann. Charlston Flash was slow to begin. Coniston Bale and Sea Master came together for a stride after the start. King Of Dreams, Coniston Bale and Sea Master jostled for several strides after 60 mtrs with all three runners being checked. |
| Race 9 | MANUKAU RESTRICTED AGE SPRINT - HEAT 1B - SPECq - 318 Heat 1 | Comical Ali (winner) ran outwards at the start checking Rishona Bale. Boot's Last and Dyna Sandra came together after 50 mtrs. Rishona Bale endeavoured to move inwards on the first turn and inconvenienced This Time Boots. A post race veterinary examination of Rishona Bale detected a suspected meta-tarsal fracture requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Rishona Bale (G.N.Pomeroy). Suspected meta- tarsal fracture. | Race 10 | MANUKAU DISTANCE FEATURE - C1d - 603 | Graphics (3rd), Rogan Reason (winner) and Aranui Gold were slow to begin. Trendy Time moved inwards prior to the second turn severely checking Shooshla. Trendy Time moved inwards to the rail on the first bend taking the path of Miss Teddy Bear which took evasive action by running outwards sharply and colliding with Shooshla with both runners suffering severe checks and losing all chance. A post race veterinary examination on Miss Teddy Bear detected a dislocated front toe requiring a 14 day stand down from racing. Miss Teddy Bear (T.A.Green). Dislocated front toe. | Race 11 | THE LIONS DASH - C3 - 318 | Don Paulie, Rickita Bale (favourite and last) and Rock It Hound were slow to begin. Don Paulie collided with Rickita Bale on the bend causing a severe check to that runner which then drifted out to finish last. A post race veterinary examination on Rickita Bale detected injuries of a minor nature not requiring a stand down from racing. |
