Judicial report: Weather: Rain A hearing was reconvened before the AGRC Judicial Committee (N.McGough) in relation to a charge under Rule 130.2 against trainer D.Schofield on 09.06.05. As a result of mediation, apology and a willingness to resolve the matter, the complaint was withdrawn by B.McGhie, Chairman, AGRC. Consequently the charge was also withdrawn by the Stipendiary Steward.

Race 1. The Lure Driver, J Nixon was questioned regarding the lure distance from the winner passing the finishing line. He advised that he experienced difficulty in maintaining the speed of the lure at that point. Further testing took place immediately without the problem reoccurring however the lure carriage was changed prior to Race 4 as a precautionary measure.

Following a post race swab being taken from Don Paulie the winner of Race 14, trainer N.P.Green expressed concern with regard to the standards applied and in particular the fact that the Veterinary Surgeon (Mr J.Mason) had not used disposable gloves during the process. When questioned both the Veterinary Surgeon and Swabbing Steward advised that the standards and procedure conducted on this occasion were no different to any other previous swab taken at any race meeting they had officiated at and also that disposable gloves have not been used in the past and in Mr Mason's opinion, would not necessarily prevent possible contamination of the sample taken. Mr Green's concerns were noted and will be reported to the NZGRA for consideration.

Pats Pride, Fortified Hope and Friendly Virus came together after 40 mtrs. Fortified Hope and Friendly Virus jostled for position several times between the start and the first turn with Friendly Virus being severely checked on two occasions. On the bend Friendly Virus clipped the heels of Not You with both runners being severely checked. |
| Race 3 | STREETS ICE CREAM STAKES - C0 - 527 | Triway was boxed first and was observed and reported to box without difficulty. Calm Osti (4th) and Sable Gold were slow to begin. Calm Osti moved inwards after 70 mtrs and checked Sable Gold in the process which then recovered well to finish 5th. Triway, Bonnie Token and Tent Top came together on the bend with Triway and Bonnie Token suffering checks. A post race veterinary examination of Triway detected no injury. |
| Race 4 | TINT-A-CAR DASH - C0 - 318 | The lure carriage was changed as a precaution prior to this race. Diamond Ditto (2nd) was slightly slow to begin. Hey Zeus began well then drifted and made up ground reasonably well for 6th. Ima Freeman (5th) galloped on the heels of Davron Lass (3rd) after 40 mtrs with both runners being checked. Ima Freeman and Miss Ruby came together for a stride on the bend. |
| Race 5 | COCA-COLA SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 | Hypo Lomu (favourite and 5th) and Sea Master were slow to begin. Bluemoon moved inwards at the start checking Mr Chad. Geechie Lobo galloped on the heels of Rythmic Finale after 70 mtrs with both runners being severely checked. |
| Race 6 | JIMBO'S PETFOOD STAKES - C0 - 527 | Classy Breeze, Devil In Me and Sable Raeder were slow to begin. Shanti and Harmoneyes collided and checked each other on the first bend. Supreme Rose and Ona Run (winner) came together on the first bend with Supreme Rose receiving a slight check. Classy Breeze raced up through the field to be in second position down the back straight then had it's heels clipped by Supreme Rose and drifted backwards quickly to finish in last position. A post race veterinary examination of Classy Breeze detected no injury. |
| Race 7 | COCA-COLA SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 | Miss Macsteele (4th) and Jumbo Flash (3rd) were slow to begin. Jumbo Flash moved outwards on the first turn causing tightening and checks to Peter Hand, Nikkei, Des'ree and Miss Macsteele with Nikkei falling heavily. A post race veterinary examination of Nikkei detected no injury. |
| Race 8 | COCA-COLA SPRINT - HEAT 3 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 | Bedas Boy was slow to begin. Champagne Gypsy and Bubba Hotep came together for several strides after the start with Champagne Gypsy then drifting to the rear and not improving it's position thereafter. |
| Race 9 | DENNY'S STAKES - C1/2 - 527 | Nadal (favourite) and Number One Gun were slow to begin. Charlston Deal and Hopplar came together after the start then shortly after these two runners and Certainly, Airfield Rush and Den Of Fire were all involved in general tightening and checks to each other. Into the first turn Den Of Fire, Certainly, Charlston Deal and Nadal were involved in general tightening with all suffering checks. Certainly and Charlston Deal came together on the first bend with Certainly being checked again. Nadal (5th) ran outwards in the home straight taking the path of and checking Airfield Rush as well as hampering Den Of Fire. |

| Race 11 | COCA-COLA SPRINT - HEAT 5 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 | Bus Painter and Dalikah were slow to begin. King Of Dreams and Mr Gulliver came together for several strides after the start. King Of Dreams (3rd) ran out on the first turn / bend and covered extra ground. Charlston Zoom moved outwards on the bend and checked Bus Painter. Mr Gulliver and Dalikah drifted on the bend and filled the last two placings. |
| Race 12 | SHIFNAL CHIEF SYNDICATE DISTANCE - C1d - 603 | Rogan Reason, Duran Duran and Run To Paradise were slow to begin. Lindale Express, Rogan Reason(winner) Duran Duran and Silk Ripple were involved in general tightening nearing the second turn. Silk Ripple was a distant last throughout the race and was ordered to undergo a post race veterinary examination which detected an injury to the hip-support and right hind leg requiring a stand down from racing. | Race 13 | CAROL'S TAB DASH - C2 - 318 | Entering the first turn Hove Dale and Tiger Strike (favourite) came together with both being checked. Tiger Strike was last turning for home and ran on well in the straight for 5th. |
| Race 14 | ROYAL WOLF CONTAINERS DASH - C2 - 318 | Comical Ali, Hello Darling (favourite) and Boot's Last came together shortly after the start with all three runners being checked. After 70 mtrs all runners with the exception of Don Paulie (winner) were involved in general tightening resulting in checks to Boot's Last, Comical Ali, Hello Darling, Black Tyler and Go Tyler Go. Into the first turn Boot's Last moved outwards checking Forever Running. Boot's Last continued to run wide and was joined by Go Tyler Go and Black Tyler all of which covered extra ground. |
