YALLAH ROSE ran onto the heels of GARLAND GREEN on the first corner checking that runner and then falling heavily herself. She was checked by the vet and cleared of injury. | Race 6 | ADVERTISING SPACE '520' - C4/5 - 520 | STARLIGHT BALE and WINSOME SUCCESS were scratched due to injuries. CEEJAY 'S MAGIC was a late scratching when found to have a wrist injury. BURN THE PEG was scratched under Rule 254 and the Trainer G.Cleeve was reminded of his obligations in relation to this rule. One of the favourites ORPHAN ASSASSIN was the slowest away and settled last. He then gradually made up ground to finish in 3rd place. | Race 7 | HEADS ROAD VETS NZ BREEDERS - SEMI FINAL 3 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1 | BLUE MOON MAGIC, POWERFAST PATCH and VITA LASS were all scratched due to injuries. One of the better supported runners KIWI ASSASSIN was slow away and was then checked and lost several lengths in the race to the first corner. KIWI ASSASSIN made up ground well to finish 4th without threatening the first three runners. | Race 8 | DISPLAY ASSOCIATES NZ BREEDERS - SEMI FINAL 4 - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1 | The two favourites SCOTTAGO and THRILLING ZACK were a little slow away and then collided on three occassions in the race to the first corner and lost several lengths as a result. They never recovered and finished out of the placings. |
