Race 1 | WELCOME SPRINT - C1 - 375 | India was scratched (deceased). King Of Dreams and Dr Dal Santo were slow to begin and came together with Legal Edition shortly after the start. King Of Dreams carted Dr Dal Santo wide on the bend with both covering extra ground. India (S.M.Wright). Deceased. |
Race 2 | CLUB HOUSE CAFE & SPORTS BAR STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | Moana Nui, He's Hypo, Ballibeast and Cosmic Eclipse were all slow to begin. Into the first turn the favourite He's Off had it's heels clipped and was severely checked by Ballibeast and in a chain reaction of interference Cosmic Eclipse and Ballibeast were also severely checked and lost all chance. |
Race 3 | SUPERIOR GREYHOUND FORMULA SPRINT - C2 - 375 | Velvot Revolver was a late scratching due to illness. Togetherness stumbled out of the boxes, almost fell and lost all chance, finishing 6th. Rawhiti Rogue and Winsome Jack jostled near the first turn. Velvot Revolver (W.Steele). Late scratching. Tracheobronchitis with cough. Vet certificate supplied. Race 4 | GROUP ONE TURF BAR STAKES - C1 - 457 | Maxine's Beauty was scratched due to illness. Charlston Kid (winner) missed the start by 5 lengths then made up ground quickly along the rail to lead on the bend and held on strongly to win by 3 1/2 lengths. In general tightening after 25 mtrs Christopher Bale, Edna Maycee, Colonel Hogan and Gentle Lee all received checks. Hostile Girlie and Christopher Bale came together on the home turn. Colonel Hogan and Dalikah ran very wide into the home turn losing valuable ground. Maxine's Beauty (D.W.Mathews). Moderate dehydration and residual signs of tying up. Vet certificate supplied. Race 5 | DINSDALE DASH - C3 - 375 | Winsome Dot and I'm Wishing were slow to begin. Bahama Bale, Winsome Dot and Hypo Spencer (winner) came together shortly after the start. Into the first turn general tightening caused checks to Junior Time, Bahama Bale and Farmer Benson. Bahama Bale drifted on the bend and came back onto and checked Farmer Benson which took evasive action by running outwards and checking I'm Wishing in the process. |
Race 6 | IMPROVERS STAKES - C1 - 457 | Booming Time and Johnnies Luck (2nd) were slow to begin. Booming Time ran outwards on the home turn when racing handy, clipped the heels of and checked Fancy Bonnie (favourite) which lost momentum and then recovered to finish 4th. |
Race 7 | GOBIS CLUB BONUS SERIES FINAL - RESf - 457 | Charlston State (winner) and Thrilling Guy were slow to begin. Shady's Mate, Trendy Time, Flash Shooter and Thrilling May came together shortly after the start. Shady's Mate was handy early then drifted slightly on the first turn and was always in the rear group thereafter. |
Race 8 | RACEWAY DASH - C4/5 - 375 | Le Mans Song was a late scratching due to injury. Delta Belle (4th) was tightened and checked between Marissa Bale and Maxi The Taxi on the first turn and showed little improvement thereafter. More Gold (3rd) was hampered slightly in this incident. Kiwi Fire moved to a wider running position on the home turn and finished at the rear. Le Mans Song. (D.W.Mathews). Late scratching. Right side gracilis muscle soreness and swelling in hock. Race 9 | PAPAMOA TAVERN STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | Lindale Express was scratched due to injury. Origin Teddy and Follow Me Frosty came together on the first turn with the former being checked. Nearing the first turn Miss Teddy Bear hit the running rail resulting in a severe check and losing all chance. A post race veterinary examination detected wrist and shoulder soreness requiring a stand down from racing. Awesome Enforcer was well back in the running turning for home and ran on strongly in the straight for 3rd. Lindale Express (S.P.Clark). Right side lateral oblique muscle soreness and back spasms. Vet certificate supplied. Rule 259. 10 days to and including 28.05.05. Miss Teddy Bear (T.A.Green). Soreness in left wrist and Shoulder. Rule 329. 6 days to and including 24.05.05. |
Race 10 | SUPERIOR GREYHOUND FORMULA STAKES - C4/5 - 457 | Hypoumunga was slow to begin. Big Teddy Boy was tightened and severely checked between Max's Millions and Campbell Bale nearing the first turn and was never in contention thereafter. |
