Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer HG Cairns was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 269.3, as a result of CLAN NOVA weighing in 1.8kgs over her last race start weight at Christchurch on 21 April 2005.
R Cairns was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 135.1.
Club Secretary T Music was fined $200.00 for a breach of Rule 135.1 in respect of an incorrect weight recording relating to Clan Nova.

Race 2 BILLS BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C0 - 295 IMPASSE and TRINITY CHARM drifted to the rear soon after jumping never improving. Soon after the jump IM THE BOSS clipped the heels of TAIM BIHAIN losing all chance finishing near the rear.
Race 3 DAVE EMERSON CONSULTANCY SPRINT - C1 - 295 Into the first bend WHATA PLAN checked out off JEMALONG EASTERN'S heels tightening TAMBOOLI, AQUA FRED and EXPANDED who lost all chance filling the last three places. WHATA PLAN ran on late for fourth.
Race 4 CONTAINERS DIRECT INTERTRADE STAKES - C0 - 520 MYSTERY MADAM stood in the boxes losing 10 lengths. Into the first bend the short priced favourite SIESMIC was tightened by MY BEEDLEBOMB when vying for the lead. They finished second and third. Soon after MICHELLE'S BUDDY ran wide losing all chance finishing at the rear with MYSTERY MADAM.
Race 5 INDEPENDENT CARPETS CRANFORD SPRINT - C1 - 295 Into the first bend JUST AWESOME, LITEN THE LOAFER and TYRONE'S AWESOME came together losing all chance filling the last three places. Into the home straight ROOK THE RAVEN struck the heels of MARIA HANOVER both losing momentum but hanging on to finish third and fourth. BARDO'S ANGEL (MP Stewart) in season. Rule 258. 30 days up to and including 21 May 2005.
Race 6 SUPERPETS SPRINT - C1 - 295 HEAD PREFECT drifted to the rear after the jump running on for fourth. Into the home straight LITTLE BOY BLUE checked out off BOUND FOR CHINA'S heels colliding with COSTA TIME. They filled the last three places.
Race 7 EUREKA TRUST STAKES - C1 - 520 CLAN NOVA was a late scratching due to a weight infringement, weighing 1.8kgs over her last race weight. SURFCLUB GIRL drifted soon after the jump before recovering running wide throughout the event to finish on for a good second. CLAN NOVA (HG Cairns) was a late scratching when weighing in 1.8kgs over her last race weight. Rule 269.3. Trainer fined $100.00
Race 8 C.T.V SPRINT - C0 - 295 The short priced favourite DENZIL BALE was slow to jump settling last before improving along the rail checking out before the turn to finish strongly to win well.
Race 9 FLAIR SPRINT - C1 - 295 The favourite KOLA'S WEAPON was slow from the outside box before inproving with a sustained run to finish second to HOMEBUSH SMITHY who went to the lead soon after the jump.
Race 10 BARRY GURDLER SAND SUPPLIES STAKES - C0 - 520 The short priced favourite ASTRO JIMMY drove to the lead into the first bend leading all the way until being run down near the finish by CLAN MURDOCH. FATIMA BALE (AC Roberts) torn right gracilus. Rule 257. 30 days up to and including 22 May 2005.
Race 11 JEWELLERY GALORE SYNDICATE SPRINT - C1 - 295 IDOLISE ME and SUPREME CHANCE came together into the first bend losing ground. Soon after an improving IDOLISE ME collided with HOMEBUSH FIN who was spun sideways into the favourite WHATA YA KNOW and SUPREME CHANCE. They filled the last four places.
Race 12 KOLORFUL KANVAS SPRINT - C3 - 295 WAG jumped clear to the lead before being headed across the top hanging on for third. Turning for home WHATA BUY checked out off REGIMENT JEWEL losing ground before finishing strongly for a close fourth.
Race 13 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY SPRINT - C2 - 295 PUSH PLAY and HOMEBUSH OPAL were slow to jump settling at the rear with PUSH PLAY running on late for fifth and HOMEBUSH OPAL finishing at the rear. The race start was reviewed prior to the paying of dividends due to it being reported that the lids were slow to open. The starter reported that the lids creaked when activated which was unusual. After observing the film nothing adverse was noted with the dividend payment authorised. The boxes and lids were retested twice after the event with no apparent problem.
Race 14 ROBBIES BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C1 - 520 SNAZZY SHAZ was slow to jump settling last before running on wide out for third. Into the first bend TE PIRITA COYOTE was tightened between LADYLIKE TOKEN and RED PAREORA losing all chance finishing near the rear. TE PIRITA TIGER was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. TENMICK STAR who was handy early drifted out to finish last.
Race 15 RADIO TRACKSIDE SPRINT - C2 - 295 The favourite SING VERA LYNN was tightened soon after the jump coming back on SYDNEY'S LEGEND, ROBERTALAN and WILD WHIZ. These dogs lost all chance filling the last four places.
Race 16 CANTERBURY DRAUGHT SIX PACK - C2 - 520 EBONY DELUXE was slow to jump settling at the rear and never improving.
