Judicial report: Weather: Raining Race one was declared a NO RACE and abandoned under Rule 305.2. when the box lids opened marginally ahead of the arrival of the lure.

Race 1 EL CHEAPO CARS SPRINT FEATURE - C2q - 295 Heat 1 The box lids opened marginally before the lure arrived and clearly the dog in box one was affected by this and began awkwardly when looking behind for the lure. The race was then abandoned under Rule 305 .2. The course staff thoroughly tested the equipment before the next race but were unable to find any fault.
Race 2 LOCATION CATERING STAKES - C1 - 525 LAKOTA GOLD galloped onto the back of CANDIAC BALE on the first corner and caused CANDIAC BALE to move out and force LORD CAUCI wide on the bend.
Race 3 EL CHEAPO CARS SPRINT FEATURE - C2q - 295 Heat 1 SCOTTAGO was scratched and started in race eight. The eventual winner THRILLING DREAM moved across in the race to the first corner and checked JUSTA SILVERSTAR and CAWBOURNE STEWY who went back to the rear and never recovered.
Race 4 ROB 'THE LURE DRIVER'S' 21ST BIRTHDAY - C1 - 295 BRAVE GYPSY was scratched due to a thigh muscle injury. The race was all clear. BRAVE GYPSY S.Gardner Rule 259 Suffering from a thigh injury and stood down for 30 days to and including 23.05.05.
Race 5 NZ FUTURITY - HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 525 Heat 1 WINSOME TODD was slow to begin and settled well back. TONY THE GREEK was checked on the first corner and dropped back onto BANJO COUNTRY who fell. WINSOME TODD was forced very wide in this incident and lost all chance. BANJO COUNTRY was checked by the vet and stood down for 3 days with slight pain in a shoulder. BANJO COUNTRY S.Gardner Rule 329 Fell and suffered slight shoulder pain and stood down for 3 days to and including 27.04.05.
Race 6 NZ FUTURITY - HEAT 2 - R/Aq - 525 Heat 1 One of the favourites THRILLING DUKE was slow away and settled last. He was then checked on the first corner and never recovered, finishing in last place.
Race 7 NZ FUTURITY - HEAT 3 - R/Aq - 525 Heat 1 The favourite THRILLING ZACK was slow to begin and was then checked on the first corner and lost more ground. On the home turn THRILLING ZACK collided with UNIQUE MAGGIE and scrambled for a few strides, eventually finishing in last place. CLASSIC FLYER appeared to slip and lost ground on the first bend.
Race 8 NZ FUTURITY - HEAT 4 - R/Aq - 525 Heat 1 BELLA DREAMER was scratched due to a shoulder injury. The winner MALLEE JACK moved across soon after the start and caused buffetting and checks to FLAMING PRINCE, BEVRON ROAD, DELUSIVE BALE and MANAWA NUI who all lost ground and settled at the rear and stayed back. BELLA DREAMER D.Garrett Rule 259 Has a slight shoulder injury and was presented and stood down for 5 days to and including 28.04.05.
Race 9 NZ FUTURITY - HEAT 5 - R/Aq - 525 Heat 1 FLIRTATION was scratched Ex Manawatu on 22.04.05. The hot favourite WILLY WHAT was only away fairly but was soon into stride and raced away to win with ease. BANKSIDE BELLA and CALL ME CUTE collided in the race to the first corner but they recovered quickly to finish in the first four. FLIRTATION M.Beeson Ex Manawatu on 22.04.05.
Race 10 NZ FUTURITY - HEAT 5 - R/Aq - 525 Heat 1 HOMEBUSH PHIL and GOLDSPOON were the slowest away and they stayed back throughout the race.
